《the human (r.h)》fourty five; traitor

"Hey, it's Delilah..... obviously, you have caller ID. I erm.... I got here okay. Just waiting for my rental car to be ready..... So yeah, just letting you know and stuff." This was awkward, "Erm.... I miss you, wish you were here and stuff." It was getting worse. "I guess call me when you get this..... I love you."

That was the fifth time Delilah had called Mary, but the first time she had left a voicemail. Probably the most awkward voicemail she ever left.

She missed Mary. A lot. Part of her wished she had never left Italy. But she knew she had to see Bella, it would probably be the last time she did. Maybe it would be the last bit of closure she needed.

"Is that your girlfriend?"

A voice sounded from behind Delilah. A very familiar voice.

"Oh my god." Delilah spun round, her hand placed on her unbeating heart "Olivia, did you have to sneak up on me?"

"I didn't sneak up on you." The brunette girl defended.

"Well, you didn't make your presence known." Delilah placed her phone into her jean pocket, running a hand through her smooth hair. "What are you doing here?"

Delilah's plan was to visit Bella, see baby and leave. She didn't really plan on interacting with any of the Cullens, even though that would be a hard task, seen as she was visiting their house.

"I'm picking you up." Olivia stated, as if it was the most obvious thing in the world. Delilah also noted that there was a hint of unhappiness in Olivia's tone. "Are you supposed to be in disguise?"

The brunette raised an eyebrow at the vampires question, "Well duh, I can't exactly risk any one recognising me." Delilah had opted for a pair of pink sunglasses which had tinted lenses, hiding her eyes and being completely out of her style, which was meant to throw people off figuring out it was her. She was also sporting a green cardigan, which again, was not her usual taste. However she thought the two items would be enough to hide herself.

"You look exactly the same. Could you not have put a hat on?"

"No," Delilah scoffed, "Its like you don't know the basics of being undercover, wearing a hat draws so much attention."

"No it doesn't."

"Oh yeah? Then why does every celebrity that wears a hat and sunglasses get recognised? Answer me that."

For a few seconds, Olivia just stared at Delilah. "I don't care enough for this conversation. Let's just get in the car."

Arms crossed against Delilah's chest, "No. I'm waiting for my rental."

"Are you stupid? There is no rental."

Now it was Delilah's turn to stare at Olivia, "You cancelled my rental? How am I supposed to get around now?"

Olivia turned on her heel and spoke and she moved, "In case you didn't realise, you're on your way to a house with a dozen vampires that can drive. Meanwhile, you never got your license."

"So what? If I ever got pulled over I'd just use my magical powers and stop them from arresting me."

"You can't just flash them your tits and expect them to go away."

Delilah rolled her eyes, "Unlike you I actually have magical powers. I don't need to use my tits to get what I want...... anymore."

Olivia never replied to Delilah's words, instead she just carried on walking to her car, knowing Delilah was following her a few steps back. Once the pair had reached the car, the silence was almost agonising, and Delilah wasn't sure she would manage the car ride. Fortunately Olivia had an idea, unfortunately Delilah wasn't sure she'd like it.

"Why haven't you unlocked the car?" Delilah pulled the handle two more times just to check if she was right, and she was. Olivia and her both just had their hands on the handles, but were stood outside the locked car.

"How did you move on?" Olivia blurted out.

"What?" Delilah was sure she had heard Olivia right, but she just had to check.

"I know you were on the phone with your girlfriend then. Alice had seen visions of you falling in love with someone else, no one believed it, but hearing you then, that just confirms it." Olivia sounded almost disappointed, but what right did she have to be upset?

"What, so I'm not allowed to move on anymore? Is it like, some crime now?" She couldn't help but be defensive.

"Rosalie didn't."

Delilah scoffed, why would she care what Rosalie did? Delilah had moved on, she was happy, she was loved, and she had created the perfect life for herself. She had never felt happier in her life. What right did Olivia have to try and ruin that? To try and make Delilah feel guilty for wanting the best for herself? Delilah was done with doing what everyone else wanted, that didn't make her happy anymore.

"I don't care what Rosalie did or didn't do. That's none of my business. Just like what I do is none of your, or any of your family's business."

"But it is our business when Rosalie still loves you."

That part stung. Delilah had never considered the fact that Rosalie may still have feelings for her, she's only ever thought about how unhappy she had apparently made her. It sort of threw a spanner in the works. How was she supposed to go stay in the same house as a girl that loves her, while another girl that loves her is waiting for her at home. It was wrong to both of them.

Delilah was the villain again.

"She'll stop loving me soon." Was Delilah's failed attempt to end the conversation.

"No she won't." Olivia argued back.

"She will when she learns I don't love her anymore."

Delilah wasn't sure she meant those words. But she wanted to mean them. She didn't want to love Rosalie ever again.

At that Olivia opened the car and climbed in, she had nothing else to say. There was nothing more she could possibly say. A few minutes later, after Delilah had composed herself, she also climbed in the car and prepared for the awkward long car ride.

She could only hope Olivia drove as fast as Alice.

However nothing would be fast enough for Delilah, she would rather have ran all the way there. And she hated running.

After about an hour of silence, Delilah spoke, "Have I hurt your feelings?" She asked, sarcasm was laced with her words. She might as well get back into her character now.

Olivia never replied. Delilah words were right.

And hers were not the only feelings she was going to hurt.

sorry it's such a short chapter. i just didn't wanna squeeze everything in one.
