"So is this going to be like them books you be reading?" M.J asked Teagan .

"What you mean?" Teagan questioned, she had just told her about Ace being her new boss, but she didn't tell her how exactly.

"You know, the main character falls for the boss and they fuck over the bosses desk?" M.J says smirking.

"This is your brother we are talking about." Teagan responded face palming.

"I know, I want to be a auntie." M.J shrugged her shoulders.

"That's happening no time soon, at least not the kids part." Ace said as walked to their booth grabbing their cups.

Ace did leave that morning to do whatever he had to do with the men. Yet he still found time to work at the barista.

"So what other part is going to happen?" M.J asked making Teagan blush.

"Shut up girl." She said which made Ace laugh.

Teagan got up. "Aren't you coming to the office tomorrow?" She asked Ace referring to her place of work. He nodded slightly and she knew he didn't want to talk about it, considering they had to lie about how he became the new CEO. They had said something along of the lines of somebody that was like a father to him left the building to him and M.J believed them.

Teagan got the message and told them she had to go renew her book at the library.

It was now the next morning and Teagan got ready for work and so did Ace. They weren't going on at the same time because of complications.

Once she got to work and went to her office setting new updates to the company's systems. She heard her coworkers talking about the new boss. They knew that he was going to be way younger then their old one.

"He's hot, I'm not going to lie." Teagan heard one of them say, which made her roll her eyes and she wanted to believe that it wasn't out of jealousy, but she knew it was.

He walked pass her office making eye contact with her because her door was open. She couldn't lie, he was looking good in that suit. He was looking more then good.

She went the whole work day without seeing him. She was beginning to think that he was avoiding her. Why would he? Was he embarrassed to know me? She asked confused and kind of hurt but she didn't want to make assumptions.

By the end of the day her eyes were hurting from staring at the computer screen more then usual. She left work before Ace and went to the barista. He walked in the shop a hour later in black sweatpants and a black t-shirt.

She was going to avoid him like he was doing her. He sat in front of her waiting on her to speak but instead she kept her head in a new book she had got in the mail when she went home yesterday.

"You good?" He asked her seeing she wasn't speaking.

"Are you?" She asked back rudely not really wanting to the answer.

"Why you acting like that?" She just ignored him. They were always getting I to the ignoring battles trying to see who was going to last the longest. They acted like middle schoolers.

"What you mad about now, what I do?" He said acting clueless. He knew she was hurt by him ignoring her but he didn't want her to get caught up in his other business.

"Why did you ignore me at work?" She finally asked which made him sigh.

"To be honest I didn't want you to get caught up into my other work business but that's beside the point now. I need a favor."

She looked up at him even though she was mad she was still willing to do a lot for him, since he barely asked for anything. "What?"

"I need you to go to a dance with me. It going to be formal and I need a date. It's kind of telling everybody that I'm in charge now." He said rolling his eyes at the fact that he had to be in charge.

"What day?"

"Two days from now."

She looked shocked. "Two days?! I need to find a dress and shoes and I need to get my hair done. Why didn't you tell me earlier?" She asked panicking. She didn't want people to think she was some trashy groupie hanging around Ace or "Black" as they call him.

"Chill I already got all the clothes you need and Rylan's wife is going to do your hair." He spoke calmly. "So I take it that you going?"

"Yeah, just don't ignore me anymore. Dumbass." She said mumbling the last part.

"What did you say?"

"Asshole." She said looking him directly in the eye as if challenging his dominance, which made him laugh.

"Hmm." He said before tapping the table and leaving.

*****2 days later*****

This is what they wear. (Don't mind Ken lying, cheating ass.) This is her makeup and hair. Also the sleeves on the dress is regular, don't mind the puffy sleeves.

Teagan was nervous. Ace told her that she had to basically act affectionately, as if they had been dating. Which wasn't hard for either of them since they both had some type of unspoken feelings for each other.

They drove to the place that they was holding the 'dance.' The building was so big. Ace had bought a Benz the other day and that's what they rode in. It was security guards at the door. And you could tell that all the people there had money. Some just looked like groupies but Teagan didn't give a damn.

Once they got in there they sat at a big table. The three men she had seen at the barista was there and they all had women on there side. Teagan noticed that the women had wedding rings. That's nice. She thought. She was very uncomfortable and ready to go home. The atmosphere just seemed dangerous and she didn't like it. But she sat there in silence while some random man said his speech.

After a couple more people spook, the Alex man went up and everyone went quiet paying full attention. It made sense, since he was once in charge. Teagan didn't really hear what he said she was more focus on Ace.

Now he wasn't Ace, he was 'Black' and he was way more monotone and intimidating. But that didn't stop her from noticing that his leg shook in nervousness. She reached over and grabbed his hand reassuringly. He smile at her.

"And Black here will now be taking over the 'business' let's welcome him." He said doing hand quotations and then motioning Ace to come up to the stage.

He got up clearing his throat and gave a small speech to the crowd and they gave him the same respect. Teagan noticed how uncomfortable he was and that his speech sounded not very genuine.

She saw Alex's wife look at her with a certain look in her eyes then look over at Rylan. Teagan didn't really like Rylan, the vibes he gave off was jealousy.

Alex's wife was definitely giving Rylan fuck me eyes. Did they have something going on? She thought mentally chuckling. Now that was some tea.

Ace came back and sat down and they night really began. People started dancing and others ate. Somehow Teagan ended up on Ace lap.

"So how long have you and Black been together?" Alex's wife, Rita asked.

"Um a couple months." Teagan spoke moving a little too much as she sat on top of Ace. He was in his own little world. Once the speeches were over Teagan had went and changed her dress to a dressy shirt and dress pants. The dress was very uncomfortable but it did hit her curves just right. She still wore all red to match Ace.

"Oh that's nice." Rita said in a very fake tone. And Rylan's wife nodded in agreement. The man that didn't say anything when they were at the barista name was KJ. Him and his wife were on the dance floor. Teagan could tell that they didn't really like people which was relatable.

"And you?" She asked referring to Rita and Alex relationship.

"Oh Alex and I have been married for 10 years." She spoke proudly. Alex and Rita looked to be in there early thirties. Alex had went to go fix himself some food.

"Yeah and me and Rylan had been together for 5 years." Fay spoke with a big smile. She seemed nice but also a little naive.

Ace still hadn't spoken a word. "Ace guess what I noticed." Teagan whispered to him. He looked at her intrigued.

"What?"

"Rita and Rylan are definitely fucking." She whispered. The music was loud and the people sat on the other side of the table so she knew they couldn't hear her.

"For real?"

"Hell yeah, you should have seen the way she looked at him and they both had went to the bathroom together like 20 minutes ago. What you think they was doing?" She asked and he laughed.

"Damn, I ain't even mad." He said smiling.

"Mhmm." Teagan spoke then she felt something. She moved a little trying to see what it was.

"What's in your pocket? Your wallet?" She asked as she tried to get comfortable. Why would his wallet be shaped so weirdly? She wondered. Now it was her turn to be naive.

"My pockets are empty Muffin." He whispered lowly in her ear as he put his hands around her waist making her stop wiggling holding back his groan. She made a little squeak as she realized what it was.

He laughed and she blushed hardly.
