'Mason: Can I stop by quickly? I have a question'

I look at my phone confused, quickly typing back a reply.

I'm currently dancing around my room in my sports bra and spandex, occasionally cleaning my room.

I turn the music up a little more, blocking out all the outside noise.

A couple songs later my music is abruptly stopped. My head snaps towards the door to see Masons figure leaning against the door, a soft smile on his face. My cheeks heat up immediately.

"Finally, some quiet. Goodbye" Cody sighs, walking out of my room.

"So, whats your question?" I ask, sitting on the floor.

"I have this family thing that my mom is making me go to. And I um, I need a date for it" He says nervously.

"Mason, of course I'll go with you. You're literally my boyfriend. No biggie" I laugh, kissing him on the cheek. I continue my cleaning, ignoring the feeling that he's watching me.

"Le, um. But thats not all" He sighs, looking down.

"What is it Mas?" I question, putting my robe on.

"It's um. Its kind of like a ball" He smiles nervously.

"A-uh. A what?" I ask, frozen in my tracks.

A ball? As in cinderella ball?

"A ball. You know, like in the movies. The parties all the rich people have. Its my cousins 21st birthday on Friday and she's having a huge ball party. I know its short notice so I understand if you don't want to go" He says, grabbing my hands.

"Um, yeah. No I'll go. I just don't know anything about it Mas. And a little more than a week notice would be nice" I laugh, patting his cheek.

"Okay, I'll let Ellie know. You can go dress shopping with her. Don't stress. I'm a pro" He bluffs laying down on my bed, causing me to chuckle.

"You're something else White" I wink at him, walking over to my night table, dusting it.

He reaches over to me, pulling me down on top of him causing me to shriek. "That outfit of yours is something else Williams" He whispers in my ear, untying the robe. My cheeks flush in response.

"You dirty boy. Let me go. I need to clean" I say hitting his arm causing him to laugh.

"What are they doing in there? I want to say hi to Leah" I hear someone say from the outside of the door. Andrew.

"Andrew" I say, opening the door.

"Leah" He grins, embracing me in a hug. His now bleach blonde hair styled perfectly and not a wrinkle in his shirt.

"The Mason White" He smiles, hugging Mason, as Mason returns the gesture.

"Hows the notorious couple doing?" Andrew gasps, as Mason throws his arm over my shoulders.

"We are good" I smile, leaning into Mason.

"What kind of outfit is that? Honey, let me help" Andrew looks me up and down.

"Ässhole, I'm cleaning. Wait till you see me Friday" I say, crossing my arms.

"Oh, whats Friday?" Cody says, looking at me.

"Masons bringing me to his families ball" I smile, patting his chest.

"Come in, I need to finish cleaning" I invite them in my room.

"I'll always be obsessed with your room" Andrew gushes, making me smile. "Thanks, so will I" I look at Mason.

He helped me, its a huge step up from my old room where the paint was chipping off the walls.

"Ellie should be here soon" Mason mumbles, looking at his phone.

"I didn't know she was coming" I say looking back at Mason to see him concentrated on his phone.

Hm, two can play that game.

I drop something in my hand, making sure I'm in Masons eyesight.

Slowly, I bend down. My robe riding up a little bit.

"Shįt Leah, I see you" Cody laughs as Andrew hits him.

"What?" Mason asks, looking up from his phone for a quick second.

Andrew frowns looking at me. I huff, grabbing some undergarments from my drawers and heading to my closet.

I change into a pair of leggings and a regular bra, throwing the robe on over it.

Try 2.

I walk over to Mason, looking over his shoulder at his phone. A football game, of course.

"Mas, babe. Can you help me?" I say sweetly. "Hm" He replies, punching my bed.

"I need help with what shirt to wear" I say. He looks up at me and then at Andrew. "Andrew said he would help" He shrugs. I look at them.

Last resort.

I drop the robe, revealing my lace red bra. "What the fück Leah" Mason says, throwing his phone down, quickly wrapping my top half with the robe.

"What? They are gay" I say, playing along with it. "So? I don't want them to see my girlfriend like that" He says, annoyed.

"Well that caught your attention" I shrug, walking back into the closet.

"You had it coming man" Cody says causing a smile to form on my face.

I throw on a red crop top with my black vans. My make up is already done.

My phone vibrates, signaling Ellie's arrival.

I quickly grab my wallet and keys, running out of the closet.

"See you guys later" I kiss Cody and Andrews cheek.

"We gotta talk" Mason says to me, causing me to roll my eyes.

"Yeah sure, bye" I kiss him, running out of the apartment, to Ellie's car.

"I got your brother good" I smirk, buckling my seatbelt.

"Spill" She smiles, pulling out of the parking spot.

I tell her everything, bringing tears to her eyes. "Thats great" She laughs.

"I know, it was priceless" I smile, putting my hair up.

"So where are we going?" I ask, looking at myself in the mirror.

"Dress shopping, duh. It's in a week" She pulls up to a huge ball gown store. Woah.

We walk in and the lady comes up to Ellie. "Miss White. We are happy to have you back. Let me know if you or your friend needs help with anything" The lady smiles. "Thank you Sonya" Ellie smiles, walking away. "I come here often" She blushes, looking at the dresses.

"Here, you need to try this one" Ellie hands me an emerald green dress. I hand her a couple and she hands me some. This went on for hours, just going through dresses. Non of them seemed to be the perfect dress.

I spot a navy dress, walking over to it I pick it up, admiring it. Its gorgeous. I go back into the fitting room, trying it on. The lady ties it for me.

"Leah, I found my dress" Ellie says as I walk out of the fitting room. "Yeah, so did I" I say staring at her dress. Its a beautiful mixture of wine red and dark purple. It is off the shoulder and has some ruffles but not overbearing. Its stunning.

"Ellie, its gorgeous. Here, let me take a picture" I say grabbing her phone. I take a picture quickly for her. Front, back and side. "You look breathtaking" I smile.

"Leah, that dress is so beautiful. Oh my, its definitely your dress. You need to get it" Ellie says taking pictures of me in mine. The top is lacy and half off the shoulders. It is low cut and had some sequence scattered. Its gorgeous.

"Can you check the price?" I ask. "Yeah, its um. It's $500" Ellie whispers. My heart drops to my stomach.

I cant pay that. I already owe Cody money for rent. "Leah-" Ellie starts causing me to shake my head.

"Its okay, I shouldn't have gotten my hopes up" I smile a small smile, turning around. "I can pay for it for you. Please" Ellie says causing me to shake my head.

"That's insane. No way. Can you please undo it?" I ask, blinking away the tears.

Ellie quickly unties it, rushing off somewhere.

I make my way back into the fitting room, stripping from the dress. I know its just a dress but I've never felt so beautiful or confident in a dress before. I should have known it was going to be expensive.

Mason: Hows it going?

Me: Not so good. Ellie found a dress though!

Mason: You haven't found any you like?

Me: I found one that I absolutely adore. But its way too expensive. I'm already behind on rent.

Mason: Don't worry about the cost please Leah. Give the dress to Ellie and we will take care of it. For once in your life, let someone treat you to something that you love. Do it for me please Le.

Me: Mason, I feel terrible. I cant do that. Its $500 :/

Mason: $500 only? Thats nothing. I have that in my wallet right now. Give iy to Ellie or I'm coming over there.

"Leah, I asked the girl at the desk and she said that since we are getting the ones out to try on that we get 20% off. So its actually $400. I also got a text from Mason saying to buy it so I'm coming in" Ellie knocks on the door, causing me to sigh.

I cant do this to them.

'Fine, But I'm paying you guys back when I can scrap up the money' I quickly send to him.

"I'm paying you back" I shake my head, throwing my shirt over my head.

"Don't worry about it" Ellie calls out, heading to the cash register.

I straighten myself out before making my way to the cash register.

'Grace: Hey, how are you? Did you get your own place? Where are you staying now?'

Pops up on my phone. I quickly text her back, telling her I rent a place with Cody but I'm at Masons most of the time.

"Thank you so much" Ellie says to the cashier, grabbing our dresses and handing me mine.

We get in the car, stopping for some In-N-Out. It's my favorite burger joint. After we quickly eat we go back to her house.

Ellie blasts our playlists, belting out the lyrics to the songs.

When we get back to the house Masons car is not in the driveway and a text pops up on my phone.

'I headed to the store, picking Brooks up on the way. I'll see you later <3'

"Brooks and Mason went to the store" I tell Ellie, stepping out of the car.

"Finally. Lets go" She laughs, opening the door.

We walk up to her room, opening her computer screen.

"What are we watching?" I ask, sitting on her bed.

"Spiderman" She smirks.

Spiderman, the only Marvel movies I've wanted to see. Its also one of Ellie's favorite movies. I mean, who doesn't like Tom Holland?

Only all the jealous boyfriends. 

"I'll make the popcorn" I head down the stairs, checking my phone to see a missed call.

I quickly call the number back, a smile plastered on my face.

"Hey Leah" He answers.

"Hey, how is everything?" I smile, placing the phone on the counter as I grab the popcorn.

"Its good. I'm ready to come home though" He sighs.

"Yeah, I bet. It's been so long since I've seen you. I hate it" I frown at my cousins absence.

"Yeah, I know. You'll be the second person I see. First being my mom, dad and Gracie since they'll pick me up from the airport but you know the deal" He laughs.

"Gotcha" I nod, placing the popcorn in the microwave.

"So what are you up to? Watching a movie with Mr. Mason?" He smirks.

"Nope, movie with Ellie. Mason and her boyfriend went to the store for something. So we are watching Spiderman" I laugh.

"Sounds good. Exciting. Well Le, have a good day. I'll talk to you again soon. Love you" He says.

"Okay, bye Luke. I love you too" I say as he ends the call.

I grab the popcorn out of the microwave, making my way back up to Ellie's room.
