It was the biggest day for the Abby Lee Dance Company as it was Nationals and in a town in Nevada called Reno, the van that had Abby, Shane, Lauren, Skye, Gianna, Megan, Sylvia, the moms and the girls arrived at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts, the location of Starbound Nationals and after the van arrived at the entrance, they all exited the van with their bags and went in the building, Abby got them checked in and once they arrived at their dressing room, Maddie, Chloe, Brooke, Paige and Shane all began getting ready for their solos as Abby approached Shane.
"Shane, today is your last day as a competitive dancer and i'm so proud on how far you've come since i've been teaching you, also, you'll be going first since the teen division solos will be first, so go out there and make us all proud." Abby told her son.
"I will, mom." Shane stated.
Abby smiled at her son, then she turned serious. "All right, game faces on, get the energy going and psych out every other dancer when you get backstage."
"Got it." Chloe said.
Abby then exited the dressing room with Skye and Lauren following her to their seats, then the moms, Brookie and Mackenzie all headed to their seats as Gianna walked Shane, Maddie, Chloe, Brooke and Paige to the stage.
"Coming up next, in our teen solo division, from the Abby Lee Dance Company, Learning to Fly!" The crowd applauded and Shane walked on to the stage, ready to perform his final dance as a competitive dancer and right from the start, Shane was dancing like there was no tomorrow and he was nailing all of his moves without any problems and at the end, he did a pose and the audience rose up and cheered him.
"Whoo!" Abby cheered and so did the moms, Brookie and Mackenzie.
"All right, Shane!" Lauren and Skye added as Shane headed off the stage and Maddie and Chloe hugged him.
"That was great!" Chloe told him. "I believe you've got this in the bag!"
"I agree and if that's not first place, there's something wrong." Maddie commented.
"Thanks and we'll have to find out when the solo awards come." Shane stated. "I know you two are gonna be great with your solos."
"Thanks." Maddie commented.
"No problem."
Next up were the petite solo division after several dances in the teen soloist division had passed and Maddie was warming up.
"Next up in our petite soloist division, from the Abby Lee Dance Company, Manhattan!" Maddie headed on to the stage and the moment she went on stage, the music began playing and Maddie started dancing, she was really marvelous with her dancing and she danced until the music stopped, then she left the stage.
"Up next in our junior soloist division, from the Abby Lee Dance Company, Another Season!" Chloe heard her solo be announced
The solo portion of the awards was next and the teen soloist division and places ten through two were announced and first place was about to be next, Shane had his fingers crossed and so did Abby, Gianna, Skye, Lauren and the moms as well and even the girls, who were all onstage as well had their fingers crossed because this was Dominic's last competition as a competitive dancer and they were hoping that he'd end it with the Teen Soloist National Title.
"I'm hoping he wins." Skye stated.
"Me too." Lauren agreed.

"I've got a feeling that he's got this." Christi commented.
"We hope you're right, Christi." Abby said.
"The first place Teen Soloist National Champion is..........Shane from the Abby Lee Dance Company with Learning To Fly!"
The moment Shane heard he got first place and became the overall teen soloist national champion, he had a huge smile as he got up and was given his trophy as Abby, Megan, Sylvia, Gianna, Lauren, Skye, the moms and the girls all cheered as the girls hugged him.
"My baby did it!" Abby cheered.
"Go, big bro!" Lauren and Skye said.
"Shane, you're the man!" Megan commented.
"You did it!" Chloe exclaimed to Shane.
Shane got up and was given his trophy, he was happy to win and he ended his competitive dancing career the way he wanted to, and that was to go out on top and was gonna ride off into the sunset with a national title as the announcer started to speak.
"It's extremely to acknowledge young dancers and especially, this young man." The announcer said, walking to Shane. "How many hours did you put in your mom's dance studio?"
"A lot." Shane answered. "And it's not easy being great, it takes a lot of hard work, dedication, determination and having a never give up attitude when things get challenging. It's tough, but in the end, it's well worth it."
"This young man has lit up the dancing world since he was two and he's been a great role model for the up and coming dancers in his mother's studio, the Abby Lee Dance Company. Shane, I know your mother has said everyone's replaceable, but she and your sisters told me that you are never replaceable and you are wonderful." The announcer spoke as Abby looked emotional and so did Megan, Sylvia, Gianna, Lauren, Skye the crowd and the moms. "Abby, can you come up to the stage, please?"
Abby got up from her seat and walked to the stage and once she got up there, the announcer gave her the microphone so she could speak to her son as she was trying to contain her emotions and Shane was trying to contain his emotions as well.
"Shane...what can i say about you? I remember from the very first moment i began teaching you how to dance when you were two, i could see in your eyes you wanted to do this and since then, myself, my staff and other dancers trained you and all the countless hours and days, you were in the studio working on your craft even through the hard times, you never gave up and wanted to get better and it brought you nine straight soloist national titles from the mini soloist, to the junior soloist and the teen divisions including this one you just won, which makes it ten straight titles and i'm so happy you ended your competing days with a win, which means that you went out on top. I want to say thank you for everything in the years of you competing for me and i know your grandfather would have been so proud of you. You always help the current crop of dancers that are currently in the studio and i'm so proud to be your mother, Lauren and Skye have always said that they are so proud to be your sisters and we all love you so much." Abby told Shane, who was in a flood of tears as he started crying as he hugged his mom and Abby hugged him back as tears of her own fell and the crowd cheered and there wasn't a dry eye in the audience or even the stage as Lauren and Skye both had tears falling from their cheeks too, seeing the emotional moment between their mother and brother, Megan, Sylvia and Gianna had tears rolling down their faces too as the crowd cheered.

"Shane! Shane! Shane! Shane!" The audience chanted.
"I love you too, mom." Shane choked through his sobs as his mother kissed him on the cheek and once he calmed down, he was given the microphone so he could speak. "Wow...what can i say? What a journey it has been dancing competitively, getting to travel across the country and dancing for audiences that came to see great dancers I'd like to thank my grandmother, Maryen Lorrain Miller who's not here and back home in Skokie, but she's here in spirit and she helped out with my dancing and gave, i'd like to thank Gia, who's like a sister to me and she's been helpful and gave me fantastic advice and i'd also like to thank the woman who's been the biggest inspiration, motivation and raised me into the young man i am today and taught me the wonders of dance, my mother, Abby Lee Miller. Mom, i don't know what i'd do without you, i thank you for being on my tail everyday and i'm so grateful having an awesome mother and role model like you, you've done so much for me and i love you so much and to my little sisters, Lauren and Skye, thank you too, i love you both and i'm proud to be your older brother, another thank you goes out to a childhood friend that i've been close to and that's Megan Wilson and her mother Sylvia, you two have been like family to me, Mom, grandma and my sisters and to the girls on my mom's team, Maddie, Mackenzie, Nia, Brooke, Paige, Chloe and Brookie, you are all like sisters to me and i know you've got to carry the mantle next season and to their moms, Holly, Kelly, Christi, Hollie and even though she's not here, Melissa, you've all been like mothers to me and i'm so glad. Thank you and i love you all so much."
The audience stood and cheered again as he took a bow, then he sat down and the girls hugged him again.
"We love you too." Brooke told him.
"What she said." Brookie commented.
"You girls are like my sisters." Shane replied, then next was the petite soloist division national title awards and places ten through two were announced and next was first place.
"And our first place petite soloist national champion is Maddie with Manhattan!" Cheers were heard as Maddie got up and got her trophy, she got a crown and sash, then next up were the junior soloist national title awards and places ten through two were announced and first place was next.
"Our first place junior soloist national champion is Chloe with Another Season!" Chloe had a smile on her face as she went to received her trophy and she, like Maddie was given a crown and sash as Christi was happy, then Abby, Megan, Sylvia, Gianna, the moms and the girls went to the dressing room and minutes later, Shane walked in and the dressing room had been decorated with balloons, streamers and a cake.
"Yay, Shane!" Everyone exclaimed as they hugged him and he hugged them back.
"Wow, this is amazing." Shane said.
"We decided to decorate the dressing room to celebrate your victory and riding off into the sunset, it was Miss Abby, Lauren and Skye's idea and we all help pitch in." Maddie said.
"It sure was." Chloe and Paige stated as Abby, Lauren and Skye went to him.
"Thanks mom, and you two Lauren and Skye and everyone of you moms and girls." Shane thanked as he hugged them and everyone smiled at the family moment.
"You're very welcome." Abby replied, then after they broke the hug.
"We'll get ready for our duet." Chloe said as she and Maddie went and got changed in their duet costumes since Brooke and Paige already had hair and makeup done and their costumes on and while they did that, Shane went into a different dressing room and changed into his ALDC baseball button down jersey, trackpants and sandals. Then Shane went into the audience with his mother, sisters, Megan, Sylvia, the moms, Brookie and Mackenzie as the junior duet/trio was coming up.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, here is Ooh La La!" Brooke and Paige walked onto the stage and from the start, it was apparent that they weren't ready as their duet was a disaster and at the end, they posed and left the stage.
"Mom, i've got one word to describe that...Mediocre and you can thank Kelly for pulling them out of rehearsal yesterday for that." Shane observed.
"You got that right." Abby said.
"Coming to the stage now is Black Swan!" Maddie and Chloe both came onto the stage and they stood in their spots, then they began to dance and right from the start, they were great and fed off of each other's energy and at the end, they posed, they got first while Brooke and Paige got fifth, then the girls all went backstage to get ready for the group dance, which would coming up a few minutes later after getting ready.
"Please welcome to the stage, the Abby Lee Dance Company with This is My Beauty!" Maddie, Mackenzie, Nia, Brooke, Paige, Chloe and Brookie all went on to the stage and right from the start, they were dancing like it was their last and at the end, they posed and headed off stage and once other group dances were done, it was time for the group awards to determine the National Champion of dance. Places ten through two were announced and first place was last but not least.
"The top junior group winner of a cash prize is...This Is My Beauty, Abby Lee Dance Company!"
The girls all got up and started celebrating as they went to receive their trophy as Abby, Shane, Gianna, Lauren, Skye, Megan, Sylvia and the moms all got up from their seats and celebrated, it was an awesome way to end the season, not only with Shane riding off into the sunset, but the girls winning the national title.
"We did it!" Shane cheered.
"We sure did!" Abby exclaimed.
"Man, what a way to end the season." Skye commented. "Our brother went out on top with the teen soloist trophy, then Maddie and Chloe won their respective crowns in their divisions and the girls won the national title."
"You know it." Megan and Sylvia agreed, then they were all backstage celebrating their victories and then they did the ALDC chant before they left, for Shane, he rode off into the sunset in grand fashion by winning the teen soloist national title at his very last competition as a competitive dancer, the girls won their titles as well and their victories at Nationals were Remarkable.
