➰The abyss➰
It was 3 in the morning and all of them were still in shock of what happened. After what Yoongi said, they never left the room alone. Even going to the bathroom was risky enough. Jin just finished making hot choco's for everyone with Namjoon's help and now they're all back at the living room.
"Hyung, you said you heard the story before... I don't intend to be rude but how come you're still alive?" Jungkook asked after taking a long sip from his mug.
"Apparently, the story was spread out to warn people from the travesty. So to keep everyone safe and at the same time aware of the horrific story, they only mentioned her first name."
"Of course, I see that makes a lot of sense. There's a lot of people who's name is Janice, so technically when you only say 'Janice', it's not her. She only haunts people who knows her existence, therefore if you speak her full name, only then she'll come for you."
"Exactly. The person who first told the story was smart enough not to mention her full name or else people who already heard the story long ago will be dead, like me."
"Oh so this is like the ring shit? When you watch the film, Sadako will come out of the TV and kill you. But when you watch the copy version, it's invalid." Jungkook bobbed his head up and down, getting the idea.
"Yeah I guess you could put it like that." Namjoon cracked up a small smile but soon faded. His eyes wandered to Taehyung who was looking at their small fireplace. "What's wrong Tae?"
"I'm just wondering... How did this box came back after we threw it away?"
"Maybe you thought you threw it away but Jimin took it and hid it without us knowing." Hoseok suggestively replied but the latter wasn't satisfied with that theoretical answer.
"Doesn't it seem odd to you? Did the person who hid this box knew who Janice was? If he did, why did he hide it and not destroy it so Janice will stop haunting people completely? Didn't he think that one day somebody will be able to find it like we did?"

"You do make a good point. I mean, he could've got rid of it quickly and put a halt to this madness. We wouldn't be in this situation in the first place." Yoongi cluck his tongue and crossed his arms.
"Unless..." Taehyung stood up and stared at the burning wood with the box in his hand.
"What are you doing Taehyung?" Hoseok asked a little frightened.
The brunette just stood there before throwing the box at the fire wordlessly. Everyone gasped at what he did but the latter just emotionlessly watched the box burn down into ashes. Or so they thought. Silence engulfed the room flabbergasted, until Jungkook spoke. "It's gone... Did it stop the curse?"
They looked at Taehyung for an answer, practically dying of curiosity and wanting their haunting madness to end. Taehyung slowly turned to them, eyes still blank that no one can seem to read.
"No." He pointed somewhere behind the group. "It's back."
And he was right, the box that they watched burning to a pile of ashes was now back on Jimin's hands. At this point, everybody was getting more and more scared. "The reason why that person didn't destroy it was because he couldn't. So he hid it in hopes no one can find it and no one will suffer from the curse ever again. But he was wrong."
This time, Jin took the box and examines it. Sure enough, the photo was still inside like nothing happened to it. "This is making me crazy! This wouldn't have happened if you two didn't bring this here in the first place!" Hoseok shouted, pointing his hands to Taehyung and Jungkook furiously.
"Stop it Hoseok! It's too late to blame anyone for this! It won't get us anywhere! The only thing we should be concerned about right now is Jimin and how to stop the fucking curse." Namjoon uttered sternly but at the same time freaking out just as much as Hoseok was.

"But Jimin wasn't supposed to be like this and all of us wouldn't be in trouble if it weren't for those two!"
"Quit being stubborn! We can't blame them for this because you too were one of us who was willing to look what it was! If anything, we're all to blame!" Yoongi slammed his fist on the table, making everything on top of it jump at the impact. He just wanted to have Jimin back...
The oldest tapped Hoseok's shoulder calmly, "He's right. There's no way the two of them would've known this horror would happen. Let's just focus on how to stop this and work together yeah?"
Hoseok took a deep breath before nodding his head. "You're right... I'm sorry. It's just... I'm really scared. I-I don't wanna die yet."
"We all are scared Hobi. But right now, we have to be strong for Jimin, for all of us." Namjoon flashed him a smile. The boy only replied by smiling back with a small, "Okay."
The rest of them started to think of ways on how to stop the madness. With Namjoon and his beautiful brains, Jungkook and Taehyung with their vast knowledge of horror films, Jin's awareness of the story, Yoongi's valiance for Jimin's sake and Hoseok's encouragement, they started to jot down notes on what to do and what not to do's. They're a pretty great team even in the face of death.
Just then Taehyung suddenly got quiet and staring at the photo once again with his eye brows furrowed. "What's wrong Tae? Are you feeling hurt?"
Jin only got a head shake as a reply, until the younger one spoke again. "Look guys, the photo..."
"Yeah, the little girl just disappeared. It's really creepy." Jungkook shrugged and went back on writing down on his notebook.
"N-no! That's not what I meant!" The boy pointed his finger on the house's window persistently. "This girl on the window... It's moving."
"What? What are you talking about?" Yoongi, who was the closest to him, averted his eyes to where Taehyung's was pointing at but he saw nothing. "There's no one there. I swear to god Kim Taehyung, if you're trying to scare me, it's working."
"I'm not joking around! There's a girl there and she's banging on the window like she wants to get out!" Taehyung leaned in closer. "She's trying to say something..."
"Is it the same girl from the photo before? Is it Janice?" Namjoon inquisitively jerked his head forward to look at the photo himself.
"No, she's not..."
"Tae... you're creeping us out man!" Hoseok once again shivered in fear and hid behind Jin's shoulder for protection.
"I don't understand what she's saying,"
"Why is this shit getting weirder and scarier?! Can't we take a break?!" Taehyung shushed Hoseok's whining and leaned closer to the photo if that was possible.
"Tu-tulong..."
"What?"
"Tulungan m-mo ako..."
"Namjoon hyung, I need you to translate something."
"Sure, what is it?"
"It's something like—" He was cut off when someone suddenly screamed on the peak of his lungs like he was in great agony. They all gasped when Jimin was now crouching down with his hands flown over to his ears on the couch, face going red and veins popping out of his neck.
"ARGHH! TUMAHIMIK KA! TUMAHIMIK KA! HINDI MO AKO MAPIPIGILAN!"
Yoongi's eyes went wide and he knew for a fact that this was not Jimin's voice. Everybody knew it wasn't him.

What Was Lost Outside Time
What happens to a mind, subjected to an infinite span of time? What remains, when it is taken out again? This is the story of an individual reborn after such time has passed that nothing remains of what it was; an individual who must learn once again what it is to be, beginning with awareness of the idea of awareness, and growing from there; from awareness of self, to awareness of others, to awareness of society, and on. This is the story of a mind; growing, learning, adapting, and becoming more. -- Currently the first three chapters are - well, kind of experimental. I both like and hate these; they were a pain to write, and I'm told by at least one person that they're painful to get through, but I think something like them is necessary to set one of the basic ideas about the way the story is written. It gets slightly more normal after that, the first arc of the story is rather "battle school", and I think I may need to go back and edit it - the characterization didn't end up working out as well as I had originally hoped, unfortunately, and ended up rather weak to my eye. I may go back and add a sub-plot or two, depending on how well I can handle the intended perspective shift of the second arc. -- Currently on hiatus, in case that wasn't obvious. I'm debating between rewriting large portions of what I've already written, and just finishing out the story, but either way, I don't actually have a clear idea of what I want to do right now. If I'm still feeling the same way in a few months I'll put a chapter up explaining where the story was going, maybe, so the people who have enjoyed it can know where the story was intended to go, and close this out.

The Pugilist
Vincent Roy Salazar has never been your common folk. He climbed any mountain he found in front of him. From a bright young student to an accomplished professor, his life can be described as a continuous race to the top of his chosen fields. Patriarch of a loving family, proud father of three already grown siblings, Roy realizes that his life is the perfect picture of what the average man strives for, and for that he is truly grateful. But happiness is a difficult-to-reach goal, and as he lies in a pool of his own blood, his fist cracked, a young lady crying while cradling his head, he remembers what really gave sense to his youth. Pure Unadulterated Violence The Pugilist wants to be a different take on isekai shenanigans. What would happen if instead of a moronic idiot, a depressed high schooler, or a wannabe hero the one to get his do-over is a fully grown man that has already seen what life has to offer in full? Someone who conformed himself to society, but has always craved something different? In a journey of self-discovery, academy building, god-slaying, and absolutely no harem we follow someone driven by logic, experience, and a smokey goal: to fuck shit up, have fun while doing so, and maybe resume his career as a professor for those strange, magic-wielding, unstable youths that seems to never get enough of his presence. Guys, a few notes, first of all, this is my first time writing long-form fiction. I have a background in psychology, and my main income comes from writing dreary financial articles on SEO blogs. But after a bad break-up, and finding myself falling asleep only while thinking of deus ex machina for stories on this site (and for APGTE) I decided to try my hand at this web series thingy. I'm confident in my grammar, but that's it. Everything else will be a first time, and as such any constructive criticism is encouraged and gratefully accepted. Now, on the story. Romance will be introduced once my little heart is mended, if you are scared of LGBT you may be turned off by the fact that I plan to have no taboo of any kind in my universe, but I won't ever write detailed sex scenes for any characters so don't worry too much. The litRPG part is very light and will take place later in the novel, but it's a key component nonetheless, for world-building and storyline reasons. I already have everything big planned out, so I won't drop it outta nowhere, and I hope you won't find too many flaws in how things pan out. I plan to make The Pugilist an interactive story, with secondary characters created by my audience and introduced after tweaks and careful planning. The main reason I'm writing this is that I want to build a community for myself in this time of isolation. I discovered that exercising, playing the piano or video games means jack-shit when you are utterly miserable, so I hope to give some value to my readers in exchange for praise, fame, money, and companionship. I give full props to anyone who has read this whole mess of a synopsis: I hope to not disappoint too much, now let's write some more steaming garbage that will be in dire need of editing later on.

And will those very same answers she's found be enough to not only break her free from the loop, but to also protect the people she holds dear? (A-and from what, exactly ...?)
