When Angelica woke up the next morning she felt like shit and even better she looked like it to. She woke up in her apartment w on her couch with her dress on backward, shoes on the opposite feet, hair out of the once elegant ponytail, and a sticky note on her forehead reading " You were crazy last night. Hope my present doesn't have to get used- Hercules." Angelica craned her neck to see a green bucket with a bow on top. Angelica put her hand over her eyes before laughing to herself. She and Hercules had been friends in high school before he and Peggy started dating. Sometimes Angelica wasn't sure how her self-centered, snobby little sister ended up with a kind guy like Hercules. Angelica sighed before sitting up and stretching. Once she was up she kicked her heels to the side of the room so she could walk to the bathroom without twisting her ankle. When she had reached the bathroom she noticed her phone on the counter. She decided to pick it up to check if she had any text messages or missed calls but she didn't expect any at all. Knowing the people in her contacts she expected them to be just as hungover as she was. She was just about to turn her phone off when it started to ring. Angelica looked down at her phone to see that the incoming call was from her best friend Maria who she spent the majority of the dinner with. Angelica smiled and answered the phone.
"Hello."
"OH MY GOD ANGIE. YOU ARE CRAZY!"
Angelica's brows furrowed in confusion.
"Please remind me why I'm crazy."
"Because I don't know any sane woman who would call the man she claims she loves and call him at 4 in the morning."

Angelica jaw hung open in shock.
"Angelica.. Angelica? Are you still there?"
"Uh um yeah I'm still here.Could you run that pass me again."
Maria's eyebrow perked up in a perfect arch and in confusion."
"Uh sure. I said you called this Alexander dude at 4 last night and you had a full hour conversation with him while you were drunk."
Angelica groaned and nodded.
"Okay thanks." Angelica looked at her phone to read the time. It was 1:30 and she had class in an hour. She silently thanked herself for choosing afternoon classes instead of morning.
"Maria I have to go I have class."
"Okay, just call me later."
"Okay bye."
Angelica hung up and splashed herself with cold water. Angelica looked at herself in the mirror before deciding she needed to get ready and get her life together. She started the shower and while waiting for the water to warm up she picked out a hoodie and sweatpants for the day. Once she had finished getting ready she noticed that she now only had 30 minutes to get to class and because she decided to live off campus she had maybe 12 minutes if traffic was as bad as she expected.
When she finally found her keys after 13 minutes she realized she would not have time for coffee thus putting her in a worse than before. So now Angelica was late, caffeine deprived and, angry. Not a good start to her morning. Once Angelica had arrived at Columbia she messily parked, probably taking up two parking spaces up she didn't care.
On her way to her lecture she probably almost died while on the stairs and halls twice and leapt over one really short guy that everyone was calling Madison or something. Once she found her room she tried to slip into Mr. Franklin's lecture unnoticed but unfortunately she was caught.

"Ms. Schuylar so nice of you to interrupt my class."
Angelica winced at the unwanted spotlight.
"Uhm I'm sorry I I -"
"I don't need to hear your excuse. You sit down and shush or walk out and shush. Either way I need you to be quiet."
Angelica nodded before quickly taking a random seat so she could avoid anymore embarrassment.
"To answer your question I did not know tater tots were potato toddlers."
Angelica turned her head around to come face to face with Alexander. Angelica laughed in surprise and confusion. The surprise coming from seeing the man she claimed she loved in the span of 5 minutes and the confusion was coming from the question.
"What?"
Alexander laughed and flashed the same smile he did while saving her life.
"No, I didn't expect you to remember. I don't remember anything I say at 4 am and drunk."
Angelica's face went hot when remembering the information she learned this morning over the phone in her bathroom.
"Sorry about that."
"Don't worry about it. I thought it was cute."
Angelica smiled and for the next half hour the two talked told each other dumb drunk stories because Angelica decided the best way to fall in love was to laugh at yourself first.

Stairway to Heaven
Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings, far too weak to survive amid the other extraterrestrials that lie dormant across the galaxies. Instead of physical altercations, they would rather engage in verbal abuse, breaking an individual's psyche as a hobby. They excel at deception and manipulation, far too interested in bringing their brothers and sisters down and reaching for the top of their self-made hierarchies. Beyond their questionable nature and moral compasses, they long to find meaning in their lives and put names to the feelings that drive each passing moment. They are insatiable—far too greedy for more knowledge and a supposed understanding of their lives. It's pitiable, really, the way they struggle to find themselves while ravaging their kind through petty wars and conflicts built off of misunderstanding. Humans are complicated, awfully fragile beings. They created words and languages to fill the holes that lived inside their souls, desperate for ways to find meaning in their incredibly short lifespans. They'll waste their entire lives trying to find their so-called passions and reasons for living, acting as if they truly rule the way their lives go, supposed "controllers of their own destiny." Yet, they cannot evade the inevitable visit from death, who stands next to them, ticking the seconds down until their demise.
