Chapter 22

I stepped away from him and ran my hands through my hair. Yeah, I'm regretting this already. His stare remained on me as I looked down and walked towards the bed. What did I get myself into? I huffed and grabbed some extra pillows and placed it on the ground and grabbed a blanket and placed it on top. I turned around to see a confused Mason standing behind me.

"What are you doing?" He asked. I sighed and crossed my arms against my chest.

"I agreed to stay here but I didn't agree to sleep on the same bed with you," I told him. He stepped closer to me and shook his head.

"No, you won't be sleeping on the ground." He claimed. I rolled my eyes at him.

"Yes I will," I said.

"If you want, I'll sleep on the ground," he told me. I shook my head and frowned.

"No, you sleep on the bed while I sleep on the ground," I claimed. He sighed out in frustration and shook his head.

"Can you not be impossible for once?" He asked. I scoffed and shook my head.

"Sure, says the guy who demanded me to stay," I said more to myself however he heard and he sighed again then walked towards the bed.

"Fine, do whatever you want," he grumbled in frustration and laid on the bed then closed his eyes. I looked towards the door and thought of getting out but knew that would be too mean, he did say please. I sighed and laid on the ground and placed the blanket on top of me then closed my eyes.

I'm going to stay but no way in hell will I sleep in the same bed with him. Even though my wolf is dying too. I pushed those thoughts away and inhaled. I tried not to think about the person who is right next to me but on the bed and falls asleep on the hard ground.

I snapped my eyes open when I felt a hard grip on my waist. I slowly turned my head to find Mason's sleeping figure right next to me. My eyes widened when I found his arm wrapped around my waist in a possessive manner. I was on the bed! Wasn't I sleeping on the ground?

I groaned and swatted his arm away from me. He placed me on the bed while I was asleep! Mason started to stir and slowly opened his eyes and made eye contact with me, once that happened his eyes turned a shade darker and I sat up and gave him a glare.

"Why was I sleeping here?" I asked and ran my hand through my hair. He sat up as well and looked away from me.

"You don't really think I was going to let you sleep on the hard ground or something?" He stated. I frowned and looked down. Well, if he's stating it like that then I can't really be mad at him. I looked up to him and met his stare.

"Uh...it would've been ok, but whatever," I said and stood up. I walked towards the closet and grabbed some clothes. I turned and found Mason standing right behind me.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked. I nodded my head and stepped back.

"Yeah, I did," I replied. He nodded his head and scratched the back of his head.

"Well, I guess I should go see Lina," he muttered. I nodded my head as well and he took a step back.

"Yeah, you go do that," I said awkwardly. He turned away and walked towards the door but stopped when I called out to him.

"Mason," I said. He turned around and looked at me.

"Thank you, I wouldn't have enjoyed sleeping on the ground," I told him. His eyes widened and then gave me a weak smile. Even though it didn't reach his eyes it caught me off guard. This was one of the first times I actually saw him smiling a real smile.

"You're welcome," he whispered. I returned the smile then he turned around and walked out of my room and out of sight. I sighed and shook my head. I'm warming up to him and I don't know if that's a good thing. I pushed those thoughts aside and walked towards the bathroom.

I did my business and cleaned up then wore the clothes I chose. I walked out of the bathroom and tied my hair up then wore some shoes and walked out of the room. While I was walking I saw Adam walking my way. He gave me a smile and hugged me while I hugged him back.

"Good morning," I greeted him.

"Good morning, Tiana. Did you sleep well?" He asked. I gave him a smile and nodded my head.

"Yes I did, did you sleep well too?" I asked him. He nodded his head and gave me a small smile.

"Come on, Lina made breakfast and she told me to come and get you," he told me. I nodded my head and we started walking. Once we made it to the dining room Lina smiled and greeted me with a hug. I smiled back at her and hugged her back.

"So, how was the night?" She asked while wiggling her brows. My eyes widened and I punched her arm slightly.

"Lina! Seriously?" I asked. She laughed and nodded her head.

"What happened? You got to tell me everything." She said. I raised a brow at her and shook my head.

"Nothing happened, Lina. Besides, I'm still pissed at you." I told her. She smirked at me and tilted her head.

"Sure you are, I bet you're thanking me in your head." She said. I rolled my eyes and crossed my arms against my chest.

"Whatever," I muttered. "I'm hungry, let's get something to eat." I tried to change the subject and walked towards the table. I looked around and found everyone except Mason. I sighed and sat down on a chair and started eating what was on the plate. Lina came and sat next to me and started to eat as well.

"So, what are we going to do today?" I asked. She smiled and looked at me.

"I was thinking about going swimming," she answered. I raised a brow at her.

"At the beach?" I asked. She gave me a duh look and nodded her head.

"No, in the toilet." She replied. I gave her a glare and shook my head.

"I'm not going with you," I told her. She gave me a confused look.

"What? Why? I picked out a perfect bikini for you!" She stated. I raised a brow at her in an amused manner but shook my head again.

"Nope, I don't like swimming at the beach," I told her.

"Why, who doesn't like swimming at the beach?" She asked. I shrugged my shoulder and frowned.

"I just don't like it," I answered.

"Fine, you won't swim but you're still coming. Please!" She begged. I sighed and shrugged my shoulders.

"Ok," I muttered. She gave me a huge smile and nodded her head.

"Great!" She exclaimed and we went back to eating our food.

I looked at myself in the mirror then walked towards the door when I heard a knock. I opened it and was greeted with an excited Lina.

"You ready?" She asked. I nodded my head and looked at the bag that was in her hand.

"What's in there?" I asked as I pointed at it. She looked down at it and smirked.

"Oh, you know, a dead body!" She exclaimed sarcastically. I rolled my eyes at her.

"What else would be in here? Lotion, sunblock, sunglasses, bikinis, and some other stuff," she explained. I nodded my head at her then crossed my arms against my chest.

"Please tell me I won't regret letting you choose my bikini," I told her. She gave me a smirk and nodded her head.

"Oh, you won't be the only one who will love it," she muttered to herself. I raised a brow at her and gave her a confused look.

"What?" I questioned. She shook her head and smiled at me.

"Nothing, come on. Let's go, the rest are waiting for us in the car." She said. I slowly nodded my head and closed the door and started walking with Lina by my side. We exited the house and walked towards the car. Lina sat in the driver's seat while I sat behind. I looked to my right to see Adam and Mason sitting next to me. They looked stiff and hating that they were too close to each other.

Well, don't they look happy?

I gave a small smile to Adam and he returned it. Mason frowned and looked out the window and away from my direction. I looked down on my lap as Lina started the car and drove off. It didn't take long for us to arrive, Lina parked the car and we exited the car with the bags.

I looked at the ocean and smiled. It was indeed beautiful.

"Isn't the view beautiful?" Lina asked. I smiled at her and nodded my head.

"Yes, it is," I stated.

"Come on, guys. Let's go!" Lina said. We all started walking towards the sand. I took my shoes off and placed them in the bag and looked over to Lina.

"Where will we change?" I asked. She looked around and pointed to a small room which I'm guessing is a bathroom.

"Over there," she answered. I nodded my head and we started walking towards it. Once we were inside I grabbed the bag and looked at Lina.

"What bikini should I wear?" I asked. She smiled and took out something that made my mouth hang open.

"You don't really think I would agree to wear something like that?" I asked her. She smiled at me while I looked at the bikini that was in her hands. That would barely cover up anything!

"Come on, Tiana. Now is not the time to be stubborn," she said. I shook my head and frowned.

"Lina, that is not a bikini! That is something a stripper would wear! It's barely going to cover up anything," I told her. She sighed out in frustration and shoved the bikini into my hands.

"Tiana, you're going to wear this, besides, I didn't pack anything else for you." She said. I furrowed my brows at her.

I didn't want to wear this, I'd rather stay in my clothes but it looked like Lina won't take no for an answer.

"Fine, I'll wear it." I groaned. She smiled a big smile and hugged me. "Great!" She exclaimed excitedly. "Just pass me a towel," I told her. She pulled out a towel from the bag and gave it to me. I won't wear whatever this thing is unless I cover myself with a towel. No way will I embrace myself in front of everybody while I'm wearing this.

Lina entered a stall while I entered the one next to her. I took my clothes off and wore the bikini. I cringed when I looked at my body. If only I grabbed something for me when we were back at the mansion. I wrapped the towel around me and sighed. Much better.

I opened the door to see Lina standing in front of me. She was wearing a bikini similar to the one I was wearing. I rolled my eyes at her and walked out.

"Why are you covering yourself?" She asked. I gave her a duh look and shook my head.

"Well, at least let me see how you look," Lina said. I sighed and opened the towel. Her eyes widened and a smirk grew on her lips.

"Damn girl, I never knew you had a body like that." She claimed. I raised a brow at her in amusement and closed the towel on my body.

"Seriously, Lina?" I placed my hand on my hip.

"If I was a guy I'd totally do you," she stated with a smirk. I rolled my eyes at her and gave her a small punch on the arm.

"That's nice to know," I said sarcastically. She chuckled and grabbed the bag that was on the ground.

"Mason's nose is going to bleed once he sees you without the towel," Lina said in amusement. I looked at her and shook my head.

"That won't happen because I'm not talking it off," I told her. She smirked at me and shrugged her shoulders before looking forwards.

"We'll see," she muttered.

We walked out of the bathroom and started walking to where the guys were. Ryder looked toward our direction and smirked at us. I rolled my eyes at him and looked away. My eyes widened when I laid eyes on Mason. Mason was in nothing but swimming shorts. Everything else was visible to the human eye, more precisely his chest. His attractive chest.

I looked away and mentally slapped myself when I realized what I was said. I looked back at Mason to see him looking at me. I awkwardly looked away from him to see Lina smirking at me. Can I go a day without seeing her smirk?

We continued to walk until we were in front of everybody. Ryder came up to me and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"So, are you going to show me what's under that towel?" He asked with a smirk on his face and started to wiggle his brows. I swatted his arm off of me and rolled my eyes at him.

"No," I stated. He pouted and Adam walked up to me and glared at Ryder before looking at me.

"Want to swim, Tiana?" Adam asked. I shook my head at him.

"No, you know I don't like to get wet," I told him. He smiled at me and nodded his head.

"Yeah, I know. You're like a cat." He said. I smiled at him and nodded my head.

"I think I'll take that as a compliment," I told Adam. He chuckled and nodded his head. "Well, I'm going to go swim." He said.

I gave him one last smile before he walked away.

I looked to my right and saw Mason staring intensely at me. I immediately looked away and grabbed the bag that Lina was holding and opened it. Might as well work on my tan. I rubbed sunblock on me then grabbed another towel and placed it on the sand. I laid on it then closed my eyes. I sighed and let the sun do its thing.

Now, I know what you guys are thinking, how am I working on my tan when I have a towel wrapped around me? Well, I don't really care, I'm not taking this towel off. There is the answer.

After a while of me just laying there I got up to see where Lina was. I saw Lina swimming and splashing water at Tyler and Ryder in the distance. I smiled at that but snapped my head over to the right when I felt Mason's presence. He looked down at me with an emotionless face on. I got up and faced him.

"Do you need anything, Mason?" I asked. He stayed silent and shook his head.

"No," he said. I gave him a confused look and saw Lina walking in our direction. I brought my attention back on Mason and tilted my head slightly.

"Then why are you standing here?" I asked not trying to sound rude. I mean, if he walks up to me and stands really close to me then I would have thought that he wanted something.

He shrugged his shoulder and looked away from me.

"I can't stand here?" He asked.

"That's not what I meant-," I started but immediately stopped when Lina passed by me and pulled the towel that was covering my body down leaving me standing there embarrassed. I looked to see a shocked Mason and a smirking Lina looking at me.

"Oops, my bad!" Lina exclaimed. My eyes were wide but soon turned into a glare.

Oh, she's dead!
