Chapter 21

I was standing there shocked. Mouth hanging open as rage started to build in me. How come I can't get away from him?

Mason was standing in front of me with pitch-black eyes as he clenched his fist and walked closer to us. The man that was holding me only tightened his grip on me and smirked. Mason's eyes averted to where his hands were and immediately looked up at the man and threw a punch. The man let me go as he fell down to the ground gripping his jaw and groaned.

My eyes widened as I stepped back and looked at the angry man that was on the floor. He got up and faced Mason with a look that clearly said he wasn't giving up. Mason's jaw clenched and he stepped closer to the man.

"Get out of my face before I make you regret ever being born," he snarled. The man's eyes had a hint of fear in them before it immediately went away. I knew that at this moment I had to stop them before Mason does something that he would regret or most likely get us in trouble. I stepped towards Mason and placed my hand on his arm, he snapped his head over to me and growled a low growl.

"Mason," I said calmly. "It's ok, let it go."

Mason looked back at the man as he smirked.

"You heard the pretty lady, you can go now." The man said. I narrowed my eyes at him and tightened my hand on Mason's arm. This guy was surely signing his own death wish and I certainly don't want to be apart of that.

Mason growled lowly but not loud enough for the man to hear and threw a punch once again making him fall to the floor for the second time.

"I don't want to repeat myself. Get out of my sight before I change my mind and do something worse," Mason told him in a deep voice. By now his eyes were darker than ever and once the man saw them, his eyes widened in fear and he immediately got up and ran away from us. Mason kept his eyes on him until he was out of sight. There was a crowd of people who were looking at us but immediately turned away when Mason glared at them.

"What the hell are you doing here?" I asked furrowing my brows at him. He snapped his head over to me and frowned.

"What do you mean? You don't want me here?" He asked. I huffed out in frustration and shook my head.

"You said you weren't coming," I told him. He shrugged his shoulders and gave me an emotionless face.

"Well, I changed my mind," he told me. I was about to ask what changed his mind when Adam and Lina appeared in the same time. Adam was holding our drinks but stopped dead in his track when he saw Mason. His face immediately fell and he glared at him.

"What is he doing here?" He asked lowly looking over at Lina. I looked at her and she gave me a sheepish smile.

"Well, I told him to come, he does need a break from all the alpha work and Nick is taking care of the pack while he's gone. Besides, I knew if I told you he was coming you wouldn't have come with us," she said the last part to me. I sighed and ran a hand through my hair and nodded my head.

"Yeah, you're right but I can't really do anything," I said and frowned. It's not like I can kick him out or something.

"Let's go back to what we were about to do," she said and grabbed one drink. We also grabbed a drink and sat down on the chairs. I felt Mason's stare burn through my back but I knew if I wanted to get out of here with no drama then I had to avoid him as much as possible but my wolf wasn't really helping at all.

We drank our drinks and Tyler and Ryder kept dancing while Adam and Mason kept having a glare competition every once in and while. I ignored Mason and tried to keep my gaze anywhere but him. I looked over at Lina and raised a brow.

"Tell me, what did you tell Mason to keep him from not coming from the start?" I asked. She gave me a weak smile but shook her head.

"I'll tell you when we head back," she answered.

"Why can't you tell me now?" I asked. She shrugged her shoulders and I shook my head and forgot about it and tried to think about something else. I couldn't help but sneak a peek at Mason but I immediately caught his stare. I looked away and saw Lina smirking at me. I shook my head at her and looked down at the ground.

After a while, I looked up to see a couple of girls approaching us. Their states were on Mason and I furrowed my brows at them. Mason kept his eyes on me but soon looked over to the girls that were surrounding him.

"You want to dance?" One girl asked. He scoffed and shook his head.

"Come on, just one dance." The girl said. Mason looked really annoyed but before he could say anything I spoke.

"Can't you see you're annoying him? He doesn't want to dance with you," I told them. They all looked over at me and glared at me.

"Let him speak for himself," one of the girls said while crossing her arms across her chest. I scoffed and shook my head.

"His attitude is already speaking for him, get out of my sight before I grab a fork and pop that fake boob of yours," I said clearly annoyed. They all gasped and Mason sent them a glare before they all speed walked away from us. I sighed out in frustration and looked over at Mason to see him smirking at me. I raised a brow at him in confusion but was left embarrassed when I realized what I just did.

I just acted like a jealous girlfriend and that wasn't a good thing. Lina was also smirking at me while Adam looked pissed. I felt my cheeks redden and immediately looked down. What have I done? Why did I act like that? I literally wanted to disappear at that moment from embarrassment. Great going Tiana.

"Tiana, Lina, come dance with us," Ryder yelled through the loud music. Lina smiled and nodded her head while I shook mine.

"No, you go. I think I'm just going to stay here." I said. She shook her head at me.

"Please, Tiana. Come dance with me. I don't want to dance alone." She begged.

"No, she's staying here," Mason spoke. I looked at him and raised a brow.

"Don't listen to him, Tiana. Please," she said and gave me a pouty face. I looked at them both and sighed then nodded my head.

"Fine," I said. She smiled while Mason frowned. I got up and was about to walk away from the table when Mason's voice stopped me.

"Tiana, stay here." He said in a low voice. I looked at him and frowned. Why does he want me to stay?

"Don't listen to him, Tiana ." Lina said again, "he's just jealous that you'll be dancing in front of every male in this club." She wiggled her brows. I rolled my eyes and shook my head at Mason.

"No, I'm going to accompany Lina," I told him. His frown deepened but before he could say anything else Lina grabbed my hand and walked us toward the dance floor. We started dancing with Tyler and Ryder, every once in a while we would grab a shot and gulp it down while laughing and dancing. After a while, I felt loose and started to dance freely. I kept looking back at Mason catching his eye and looking away. He was obviously not liking this.

After ten minutes into dancing, I looked at Mason again and he huffed and got up from the table and walked towards us. I furrowed my brows in confusion and my eyes widened when he grabbed my waist. I looked at him but he wasn't looking at me.

"Oh, so my brother finally decides to join us?" Lina spoke.

My eyes were fixed on his grip on my waist. What was he doing?

"Say another word Lina and you'll regret it," Mason threatened. Lina chuckled and Mason let go of my waist but stayed close to me. Lina continued to dance while I just stood there stiff. Were they expecting me to dance when he's that close to me?

Lina grabbed my hand and I took that as a yes. Amusement was written all over her eyes and I sighed but started to dance again but in a stiff manner. What can I do? I can't dance my heart out when he's that close. Mason didn't really dance. All he did was stand behind us and watched us, more like me but you get the point. It was awkward at first but I soon decided to let go and enjoy.

After a while, we decided to leave. It was getting late and we were tired. We exited the club and walked towards the car. Mason was walking really close to me and every once in and while Lina would give me a smirk while I rolled my eyes.

We got into the car and drove off. We soon made it back to the mansion and walked inside. I excused myself to my room so I could get ready for bed. I looked over at Mason then turned away and walked towards my room. I entered my room and closed the door behind me before changing into pajama shorts and a t-shirt. I laid on my bed but before I could even close my eyes someone knocked on my door.

I got up and walked towards the door before opening it and seeing Lina smiling at me.

"Yes, Lina? Do you need anything?" I asked. She looked hesitant and played with her fingers.

"I'm sure you're not going to like this but I did it because I knew you'd thank me later," she said. I raised a brow at her and shook my head.

"Oh, what did you do?" I groaned.

"Well, remember I 'threatened' Mason to not come?" She asked. I nodded my head at her.

"Well, I know that it was a lame threat but it actually worked. I also know that he isn't too fond of Adam so I said if he came with us in the morning I was going to make Adam and you share a room," she said. My eyes widened at her words.

"That's your threat? Really?" I asked and placed my hand on my hip. She nodded her head but looked down.

"There's more," she said. I nodded my head and she continued.

"Since I knew you wouldn't have come with us if he came along I told him to come later on and if he did that you and he would share a room," she said the last part quietly. My eyes widened even more.

"You said what?" I yelled. She gave me a small smile and stepped back.

"You're mates, Tiana." She told me. "You can thank me later." And with that, she ran off before I could say anything else. I stood there mouth hanging open. Why the hell would she do that? I ran my hands through my hair. I'm pretty sure there are enough rooms in this huge mansion so Mason doesn't need to stay in my room, right?

I huffed out in annoyance and was about to close the door when Mason appeared in front of me. I looked up at him as he stared at me.

"You don't really think that I'm going to let you sleep in the same room I am going to sleep in?" I questioned. He gave me a small smirk and stepped inside the room.

"This is my room," he spoke out.

"Then I'll sleep in any other random room," I said and turned away.

"There are no other rooms," he told me. I looked at him and placed my hand on my hip.

"You can't be serious? I'm sure there are plenty of rooms in this mansion." I exclaimed. He stayed silent and just looked at me, I then huffed out in annoyance and turned away but stopped when he grabbed my hand.

He walked closer to me and his eyes turned a shade darker.

"Just stay here, maybe then my wolf will stop all the nagging." He whispered. I gulped and looked down. "Please," he said in a low voice. I sighed and looked up at him and at that moment it was like my mouth spoke on its own.

"Ok."
