《Cellphone Swap》Chapter Eight

I woke up with a killer headache. All the memories from last night him me like a bag of bricks making me bite down on my lip to stop myself from crying. I grabbed Nate's phone off my bedside table and saw a text from him.
Hey Natalie, are you okay?
I should be asking you the same question! I'm so sorry that happened... That was all my fault.
Natalie I PROMISE it wasn't your fault. We hate each other and honestly he probably thought I was using you to get to him.
Yeah... m
I'll see you in two days, to switch back our phones.
I turned Nate's Phone off and sighed. The thought of Nate just made me smile. I bit down on my lip and smirked to myself. That gorgeous guy liked me...
My door opened and Gabe walked in. "We need to talk about Nate." Gabe said as he closed the door. "Natalie, he's using you. We hate each other. He's not just going to magically like you without a reason."
"And how would you know if he liked me?!" I yelled as I stood up. I walked over to him and glared up at him. "You have no right to get in my personal business. Now get out!"
"Natalie... please just listen to me." Gabe said, "He's a player. He's either going to use you to get to me or to sleep with you."
Tears rushed down my cheeks as I stared up at Gabe. "Nate wouldn't use me." I said as I bit down on my quivering lip. "And wether or not you want to believe me is your choice. But I know he isn't using me."
"I bet every other girl he has been with probably thought the same thing." Gabe said, "take it from a player. Once a player, always a player." Tears started rolling down my cheeks as I did my best to wipe away the tears that wouldn't stop coming out.

"Please leave me alone..." I said as I bit down on my bottom lip. "I need to think this all over." Gabe nodded and walked out of my room. I closed the door and walked back over to my bed. I sat down and grabbed Nate's Phone. I opened it and went to my number.
I hovered my finger over the call button. I contemplated on wether to hit that button for a good five minutes. I sighed and finally decided to call him.
"Hey." His voice sent butterflies to my stomach and I bit down on my lip, trying to stop smiling.
"Are you using me?" I asked, "I'm just not sure how to feel about this anymore..."
"Natalie what are you talking about?" Nate asked as he sighed. "Did Gabe get inside your head? I'm not using you.... I promise I'm not. Natalie I like you."
"Nate you're a player. You aren't going to change your ways for me." I said as I bit down on my lips. "I know you're using me. Wether it's to get at Gabe or to sleep with me."
"Natalie, listen to yourself! Gabe got into your head." Nate said as a tear rolled down my cheek. "Sure, I've been a player before but I'm not anymore. You made me change..." I sighed and laid down. "Natalie I don't ever want to lose you!"
"After we switch phones, I don't ever want to see you again." I said as I bit down on my lip. "It was a mistake to ever get involved with you."
"Natalie, please just liste—." Nate started. I pulled his phone away from my ear and hung up. Tears streamed down my cheeks as I pulled my knees up against my chest.

I heard a knock on the door and I stood up from the couch. I walked over to the door and then opened it. I looked at Nate and he walked over to me and pressed his lips onto mine. I melted into the kiss and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Get off her!" Gabe yelled as he pulled me away from Nate.
"You're such a pussy." Nate said as he smirked at Gabe. "You can't even let your little sister be happy." Gabe let go of me and walked over to Nate.
"Its called protecting her." Gabe said as he punched Nate. "From being with an asshole like you." Nate smirked and punched Gabe back. They kept punching each other, neither giving up.
"Stop!" I screamed as I grabbed Gabe's hand. "Please stop." I said as both boys grunted and looked down at me. "Gabe, I'll never see him again... I promise." I turned to look at Nate, "And I'll go get your phone."
Before either boy said anything I ran upstairs to my room and grabbed Nate's Phone off of my bedside table. I ran back downstairs and walked over to Nate. He had my phone in his hand and we switched them. "Natalie you don't have to do this." Nate said, his face was filled with hurt. "I don't want to lose you."
"Well it's to late." Gabe snarled. "Because you did."
I ignored Gabe and looked up at Nate. "You're a player Nate Anderson... and I can't put myself through that." I said as I looked into his gorgeous eyes, "I'm sorry."
"Natalie, think about that first night we met, at Mike's party." Nate said as he walked closer to me. "You were in the black skirt and red top, your hair was curled. I found you crying over Aidan. I can still picture your face when you got embarrassed about not knowing who I was." Nate said well laughing, "I remember the morning afterwards too. You hair your hair in a pony tail and you were wearing my hoodie. We went out to breakfast and almost kissed, but then Emma found us."
My eyes were filling with tears as I stared up at him. "I just remembered thinking you were so gorgeous and how lucky I was to even be talking to you." Nate said as he grabbed my hand in his. "I can still remember that first time we kissed..." A tear rolled down my cheek and Nate quickly wiped it away. "I remember feeling that you with me was so right."
"Big whoop." Gabe started making me turn around and glare at him. "You remember what she was wearing."
"Gabe shut up and leave me alone!" I yelled as I pulled Nate outside. I slammed the door shut and we sat down on the swing on my porch.
"Natalie... What I'm trying to say is that I've never been in love. But if I can guess what being in Love feels like, that's what I feel for you." Nate said as I hung onto every word leaving his lips. "I'm in love with you."
I placed my hand on his cheek and kissed him as hot tears rolled down my cheeks. "I love you too." I said before I pressed my lips back onto his.

Creature Feature: InGen Hybrids
The fossil record is obviously incomplete, which means InGen's experiments with the hybridisation of various prehistoric creatures are probably not over. With that in mind, this guide is likely incomplete. But if you're writing Jurassic Park or Jurassic World fanfiction, or stories told within that pretty awesome universe, then any of the creatures found in these fair pages should be considered entirely canon!
