"Natalie!" Emma yelled from the window of the car. "Get in!"
"Do you wanna come?" I asked turning back to Nate.
"No I should get back to my cousins house. I'll see you at the end of the week to switch our phones." Nate said while smiling at me.
"Okay." I smiled back and hugged him before walking over to Emma and getting in the car.
"Was that Nate Anderson?" Emma asked with wide eyes. I nodded and bit my bottom lip. "You two almost kissed! Wait did you get your phone back? Holy shit you're in his hoodie!"
"I didn't get my phone back." I said well playing with the strings on Nate's hoodie. "Last night I saw him at the party and we kinda slept in the same bed."
"What?!" Emma yelled looking over at me. "You didn't have sex right?"
"No we didn't, just slept in the same bed. Then today we went out to breakfast and the waiter said 'better watch your girl. Natalie Andrews is the biggest hoe in school.' Then Nate kinda punched him in the face and then we ran out of there." I said while smiling.
"Natalie he protected you... that's so sweet." Emma said as she pulled up my driveway and turned her car off. "You should go out with him."
"I don't know. I don't think I'm ready for a relationship." I said while biting my lip. "I don't want fall in love someone and get my heart broken." We both got out of the car and walked inside.
"Who says you will get your heart broken." Emma said while raising an eyebrow at me. "Natalie you can't be afraid that's it's not gonna work out."

Gabe came around the corner and looked over at me. "Where have you been?" He asked walking over to me and then pulling me into a hug.
"I just spent the night at Mike's house." I said, leaving out the part with Nate.
"Alright I'm just glad you're okay." Gabe said. "Get out of the skirt and put some pants on."
"Okay." I giggled and walked upstairs to my room. I changed into a pair of grey leggings and kept Nate's hoodie on. Emma walked in and sat down on the edge of my bed. "I think I might really like him..." I bit down on my lip and smiled.
"I'm pretty sure he likes you too." Emma said while smiling. I sat down next to her on my bed and pulled the sleeves of the hoodie over my hands. "And I think you should really do something about it."
"How do I know he's not gonna be like every other guy?" I asked while biting down on my lip.
"Because no guy has ever stuck up for you the way he did." Emma said. "And I know he's a good guy." I nodded and grabbed his phone off my bedside table. I opened his phone and went to our text messages. I went to the picture that Nate had posted and zoomed in on my neck. And there it was, the hickey. A text message popped up from a girl name Cherry.
Hey babe. Can't wait until you come visit me again ;)
Hey... this is Natalie Andrews. I have Nate's Phone, we kinda switched them the other day. Do you want me to give him this message?
You're Gabe's sister?
Yep.
Omg I miss him so much. And yes, please send him this. God isn't Nate just so hot?!

I'll send him the message. And he is really nice.
I opened the message with Nate.
Your girlfriend Cherry wants to meet up with you. Didn't know you were dating someone...
I looked over at Emma who was playing a game on her phone. I bit down on my lips as the tears started to flow out of my eyes. "He has girlfriend..." I said looking down at my bed sheets.
"What...?" Emma said dropping her phone to look at me. "I'm sorry." I nodded and looked down at the phone as a text message appeared.
I don't have a girlfriend. Who texted you that?
Cherry.
Natalie I promise I'm not dating her. We were friends along time ago and now she's become obsessed with me and thinks we're dating.
Okay...
Natalie I promise I'm not dating her.
I turned Nate's Phone off and laid down. "He's saying they aren't a thing. But I don't know." I said biting down on my lip.
"Maybe they aren't." Emma said. "I mean he is a popular so she could've just been saying that. Just trust him." A small smile spread across my lips and I nodded.

8 69Wrong Side of The Severance
In the waning times of a costly war that spanned several firmaments, one world that was supposed to be cherished by the gods was cast to the wayside, and from everyone’s minds. This world - Berodyl - had flourished under the tender love of the gods for millennia… but no longer. Berodyl stood ready to aid the gods in their strife, but when the time came, the armies of this world never heard the call. They never even saw the battlefield. No. Instead, they found that, once the war had begun, the hierophants no longer heard the whispers of their sacred deities whom they had served so faithfully; only silence now filled the halls of their temples. Some even came from beyond Berodyl’s firmament to take to the sides of those who would fight for the gods. Alas, they soon found themselves stranded in a land abandoned— now, too, abandoned themselves. Now there is but one question weighing down on everyone: can a world such as this - a world once loved, now alone - survive with nought but its own? For an outlander such as Livia, the question seems nearly impossible to answer. The first book of The World The Gods Forgot.
