The showers were organised beside each other so Red and Leonard stood next to each other as Red looked at all the complicated bottles.
"What's 'shampoo' and 'conditioner'?"
Red asked holding the two bottles together.
"They're for your hair, you want me to help you?"
"No! I mean- i can manage thanks..."
Red screamed almost immediately after Leonard finished talking. He placed the bottles back with his face burning up.
"Well alright."
Leonard shrugged his shoulders and continued with his shower as Red also started his and just used the things he recognised.
Chuck was still cradled into a ball by the clear lake when an unknown voice spoke up.
"Why are you crying?"
Chuck removed his head from his knees, wiping away his tears.
As he looked up he saw a giant standing in front of him. He was so big, Chuck, while sitting, was the size of his foot and he had... feathers? Even though Chuck had never ever saw anyone with feathers he felt like he recognised him.
"Who are you? W-Why- How do you have feathers?"
Chuck stared up at the figure, observing all the feathers that wrapped around his body, except for his stomach and face he was completely covered in brown-ish feathers. The unknown man sat beside him, bouncing Chuck into the air as the ground rumbled below him, his feathered wings brushing up against Chucks arms.
"Well of course you wouldn't be able to recognise me. It has definitely been awhile."
The figure was quiet for a moment, just sitting beside Chuck- who was still sniffing constantly from him crying.
"Must be, 'cause if I had seen you, I would have remembered you from your feathers obviously."
Chuck pointed out, getting him to raise his feathery arm and chuckle to himself.
"Oh yes right- I always forget that."
"How do you forget that you have feathers?"
Chuck wiped away another tear, slowly forgetting why he was there in the first place.
"Well when you've been by yourself for so long, you get use to it."
Chuck suddenly remembered again, remembering how isolated Red use to be and how if only Chuck had helped him out, he wouldn't be gone right now. Chuck couldn't hold back the tears and hid his face between his knee caps.

"Hey, hey are you okay?"
The man- who still hadn't introduce himself- leaned over, hesitating to place a feathered hand on his shoulder.
"No... I am completely useless- I cant even be fast enough to help my friend... when he needed me most, I wasn't there for him..."
Chuck sunk under his knees, muffling his words through his tears. The man finally placed a wing on the smaller boys back, covering it entirely, now trying his best to comfort him.
"I'm sorry to hear that, that would be awful..."
The man tried to support, but it was obvious he was terrible at the whole comfort thing. Chuck shifted his head up, wiping away a tear and then grabbing the mans feathery hand and blowing his nose, like it was a napkin. He just silently wiped his hand as Chuck sat there quietly, looking back up at the man.
"Wait- are you- not it cant be... unless you're really?"
Chuck began to mumble, his eyes being filled with more and more thoughts. The man just sat there in curiosity to see what the small boy was going to say.
"I thought he was only a legend?"
"What? Mighty Eagle?"
He finally questioned with Chuck nodding his head.
"Really haha, well surprise I'm real."
"Really? like I'm not going crazy?"
Mighty Eagle shook his head and Chucks eyes suddenly lit up like a spark had went off inside.
"Chuck?"
A distance voice screamed, Both Chuck and Mighty Eagle looked behind them and saw Bomb running in the distance.
"Bomb!"
Chuck stood up and ran over to Bomb, giving him a really big hug, missing his comfort hugs.
"I'm sorry i ran off."
Bomb hugged him back, relieved he also okay.
"It's okay Chuck, and who are you with?"
Chuck popped his head back up, gleaming with excitement.
"It's Mighty Eagle!"
Chuck cheered and Mighty Eagle casually waltzed over to Bomb and Chuck.
"MIGHTY EAGLE??!"
Bomb shrieked, completely freezing when he saw the gigantic bird. Mighty Eagle just waved his wings around, showing that he was in fact real.
"Hello, yes I am in fact real- I was only gone for a bit."

Mighty Eagle rubbed his neck- or where his neck would be as Bomb admired him from really far down below.
"He's even bigger than Terence- or anyone in the village."
Bomb whispered to Chuck, still staring directly at Mighty Eagle. Mighty Eagle found it funny how astonished humans can be just by seeing him.
"Yeah hybrids can grow to be pretty big, compared to you small beings."
"Wait- hybrid? There's more like you? I only remember hearing about you."
Chuck spoke up, surprised but also confused. Did he mean more giant eagle people or giant people with other animal features?
"Yeah well all the other hybrids have their own islands so you don't really see them much- but enough about me- Weren't you looking for your friend?"
Chucks mind sparked once again, as he remember his mission- to save Red, and now he may possibly have a plan.
Red dried his wet hair with the light green towel Leonard gave him. Placed his light red shirt on and then his comfy red jacket back on with Leonard waiting for him, his green hair dye slowly fading into hid dark brown locks. Red walked over the large man with Leonard opening the door for Red. Red just glanced at the floor awkwardly as he thanked Leonard who sweetly smiled back. Red didn't know how to feel about him, he has been so sweet and nice to him. No one had really ever treated Red like this.
Red glanced up at Leonard who calmly walked next to him, coincidentally looking down at Red as well, smiling sweetly again. Red was quick to look back at the wooden floor his chest feeling tight. After a while of staring at the ground and watching Leonards feet move to not bump into anything, Red shyly looked up to see his surroundings and could see Leonards room door up ahead. He walked closer to it until Leonard suddenly caressed Reds hand, holding in his big, soft hands.
Reds face lit up as he finally glanced over at Leonard who slightly leant forward, causing Red to lean backwards out of embarrassment.
"I want to show you something first."
Leonard softly informed, gently pulling Reds arm away from Leonards room. Red followed along still holding Leonards hand as he imagined what Leonard could possibly want to show him. They walked for what seemed like forever, up stairway through hallways until eventually Leonard just stopped and looked back at Red with such excitement as he slowly opened the door to expose the bright sunlight shimmer into Reds face.
Leonard let go of Reds hand as Red walked outside the see the beautiful orange sky with the sun touching the sea. Red kept walking with amazement, he didn't realise that the sky could look so beautiful. Leonard stood beside him also watching the sun set slowly.
"It looks beautiful doesn't it?"
Leonard asked looking down at Red who was still admiring the view.
"Yeah... the way the sun hits the sea."
"Yeah."
Leonard agreed, holding onto Reds hand again, this time his grip tighter yet careful. Red looks up at him, his eyes glistening in the light.
"I could watch the sunset forever, if it means i can watch it with you."
Leonard turned towards the already flustered Red with the dearest smile, saying what his heart wants to say. Leonard reached out for Reds other hand and held them both in front of him.
"You could live with me and we could sit together and watch it together."
Leonard offered his eyes only showing true genuine honesty. Red was lost with words, his mind and heart were thinking different things.
"You don't have to answer right now, take as much time as you need."
Leonard offered, understanding how big this could be to Red. Red thought about it, about Leonard and about everything. Leonard has been the only one who has ever been genuinely nice to Red or showed this much admiration for him. If Red stays with Leonard, he wouldn't feel so alone and maybe he'll be happy for once.
Red smiled to the thought of being able to sit beside Leonard and just enjoy the sound of the sea. Red now finally understood his dream, even though it seemed bizarre, he now believes it was his heart telling him that Leonard was different.
