Alex's POV

I walked up to her and sat down with her. She was startled, when she realized that it was me. "You heard me didn't you?" Mia asked. I nodded. We stayed silent for a while. For some reason, my heart was beating really fast, and I don't know why. "You know, ever since you disappeared, I wasn't myself. I would always try to get into fights. My temper got the best of me. Worst of all, I almost killed Maconga because if he didn't challenge your father, none of this wouldn't have happened." Mia explained, trying to hold back her tears. I was shocked by her reason. "I started to lose my feelings as the years went by. But now your right here in front of me, sitting next to me, alive." Mia said, smiling through her tears. I smiled back. "Well I'm glad to be back and I'm glad that you're still the same Mia that I knew from when I was still a Cub." I said. Mia just smiled, giggling, then she started laughing. I started to laugh with her. She has the most beautiful laugh. I couldn't have asked for a better friend, possibly something more.

Marty's POV

I noticed that Alex wasn't here, so I decided to go look for him that's when I heard laughter coming from next to me. I followed it and saw Alex with the girl lion from earlier. They were laughing their butts off, and pushing each other like kids. That's when I noticed that Alex was blushing, even though his fur didn't let it show. I smirked, when I saw this. 'Would you look at that. He's already falling in love with someone and we just got here.' I said in my head.

A little while later..

It was night time, so it meant that it was time for us to sleep. I saw Alex and the girl lion walking towards the lion pride. I have a feeling that he's gonna confess to her pretty soon.

Alex's POV

When we got back to the pride, my mom and dad decided to show me my old sleeping place that I shared with Mia, when we were Cubs. They told me why Mia was sharing it with me. It was because she lost her parents to the hunters and my parents were close friends of her's so they decided to take care of her while taking care of me as well. After my mom left, I played with my old blanket, when I noticed Mia just looking at the ceiling. My guess was that she couldn't sleep. So I pulled her close to me, and I just cuddled her until I fell asleep with my arms around her. I felt her fall asleep too and we slept and had a dream less sleep.
