《Frenemies》Chapter 19: Parked Outside Your House

A/N: a short and pretty chill chapter aha :)
-
Everything's okay now.
Everything was okay.
Jungkook stared up at the ceiling of his room, mind tired, yet brain wide-awake. Twisting, turning, and contemplating his own thoughts as he lay frustrated and numbly exhausted. The maknae couldn't find sleep.
His mind was bombarded with images and thoughts of you.
First, from the point after what had been dealt with by Namjoon and the others outside your very house. Sure, it had been hectic at the start, but eventually fans calmed and started to listen to what was being said. Lia and Yoongi were shaken up badly by a few bruises and scratches here and there, but overall, all were alarmed and alert when police had showed up to the scene.
The scene outside your house took forever to disperse but it eventually did. All Jungkook remembered was seeing how proudly Namjoon seemed to be smiling when the police helped your family and Vee back into the house, all while escorting the boys back to their PD-Nim's van. They had managed to beat most of the news outlets that were coming to the scene...all the fans gone, streets now silent.
Jungkook remembered everyone being relieved inside the van, all starting to disappear from the roads and into the streets. Everyone was catering to each other, Jin closer to Lia who examined at her scratches, Yoongi and Namjoon speaking in breaths...everyone was weirdly relieved and reassured apart from Jungkook.
All he had been focusing on was looking over at the top window of your home as he was moving uncomfortably in the backseat of the van. Yes, his hard still on, he was blushing and in uncomfortable pain as he tried to hide his bruising on his cheeks with his hood that he propped up. Hair at his eyes, they were soft when staring at your curtains.
That's what he remembered.
Sighing, Jungkook moved to his side, trying to bury the side of his bruised cheekbone into the cushion of his pillow. The same bruise that was eventually asked about by the members and the staff.
Tuesday which pasted;
This was the same bruise all had looked over at him in concern when they had met with an angry, yet, weirdly proud BangPD. Although, the management was pointing out their idiocy, they were also congratulating us all on sticking to what we believed in when it came to helping you. All the conversation had died when asking about Jungkook's bruising...
.
"I had sneaked outside to help," Jungkook had lied, "it's nothing. I'm okay."
.
They had trouble believing anything that came out of the silent maknae. But they didn't push out any further answers out of the maknae. They let him be, confused over why he was barely sitting well.
...he wasn't sitting well because Jae was right. The knock to the groin had Jungkook whining in his bed for a while once he had gone limp. It wasn't a pleasant feeling at all.

A feeling he took a few days to collect himself from.
Wednesday, Thursday which pasted;
Thoughts on his groin that he catered to with painkillers and an embarrassing visit to a doctor without the members knowing, Jungkook remained quite somber as he rehearsed and practiced along the members in daily schedules, all while trying not to pay attention to all the media that was surrounded around their group and this scandal a lot.
The best they could do was wait at this point and management had made that clear to the group. Jungkook had a hard time trying to make it clear to himself however, he wanted everything to just go back to normal.
But it couldn't. Not just yet. Not when he constantly kept wanting to get pulled over to you...the one person he hadn't seen or heard from a few days after the incident of your home.
He would constantly remember you.
What had happened in the closet, to the point where Jae had come and did what he did...
It was all hard for the maknae to register and forget.
Friday which pasted;
Just schedules.
Schedules.
Thinking of you.
Schedules.
Using the restroom.
Performance on a game-show stage.
Schedules.
Thinking of Jae and his penis.
Eating, eating.
Watching everyone crash at the dorm.
He lay awake, staring at his closet doors...
- thinking of you.
And now we have the weekend. Here, the present, where Jungkook still manages to stay away and twisting in his own thoughts and sheets. The maknae can not find sleep.
Just like every night of this exhausting past week.
Head moving slowly into the pillow he was laying on, Jungkook swallowed lightly, staring over into the darkness of his room. His eyes moved over towards the bedroom's closet...again, this was almost a constant reoccurrence at this point.
Jungkook's heart started to pump out more fluids while staring at the closet. He saw flashes and felt the same warmness and feelings he dealt with while with you in your closet a week ago. The way you said his name, to the way you took in breaths, to the way you played your hands nervously into his hair. The maknae felt himself move awkwardly underneath his sheets as he tried to divert his gaze away from the closet and over to the ceiling instead. He had trouble doing so, his mind now tricking his body to feel what he did when Jungkook had started to move teasingly between your legs.
.
"...Jungkook."
.
The maknae swore internally, forcing his eyes away from the closet with the twist of his body. He turned to face the opposite wall, clenching his lids shut as he forced his mind away from you.
Y/N has a boyfriend, stop it.
He couldn't. No matter how hard he tried he couldn't.
Instead, he was warped in the thought of the so-called 'boyfriend'. Jaw clenching, Jungkook was genuinely concerned, confused, and terrified when it came to thinking of that man any where near you. He now understood why you seemed to be so obedient to the man...Jungkook understood now. But it saddened him that you were involved with a man that held you in such ways, threatened and yelled with a gun flailing around, all while violating you. That's the part that Jungkook didn't understand. How did a person like Y/N cross paths with someone like Jae?

Jungkook licked at his bottom lip, his gut now remained unsettled at the thought of Jae still possibly having access to being near you. Just the way you had started crying the moment he had left...Jungkook had never seen you cry until that moment and it haunted him.
You weren't a pretty crier, it seemed as if you rarely let that side show. He noticed how sad the tears on your cheeks above all people was equivalent to seeing the ripping of a heart occur in front of him. He was in shock then, and still is now...
.
"Y/N..."
Jungkook's eyes were soft, his arms hesitant as he moved slowly closer to your numbly crying form.
You didn't look at him at all, and that simply shut him up.
Jungkook didn't say anything, now standing face-first and centered in front of you.
Awkwardly having his hands stretch out, his breath hitched, body stumbling a tad bit back when you whimpered and instantly clung onto him.
Your wet cheek stained at your brother's hood Jungkook wore, your breath shakily digging into the maknae's neck as you balled.
Jungkook swallowed, soft and saddened, he allowed his arms to tightly move around you.
No longer awkward or comfortable, he let you catch your breath against him.
.
Jungkook felt his throat tighten up.
He couldn't sleep, giving up, he propped himself to tiredly sit up onto the bed.
The next move he pulled was what he did for the past week—every night. This was the only thing that could get the maknae to sleep, and he tiredly and awkwardly went on to act it out every night since the night spent at your place.
Moving out the door of his bedroom, he went on to wake up his hyung.
-
"You've woken me up," Jin said lowly, staring gently over at the maknae that was silently sitting in the passenger seat of PD-Nim's car. Jin moved his hands away from the driver's wheel as he moved his back slowly and comfortably into the back of his seat. "Now are you going to get out, or remain seated like the other five times we've been here?"
Jungkook felt a little lighter now, maybe even finding his sleep. He was just relieved internally when he could see the lights to your bedroom closed from across the street. It was always a concern for him to see that the streets around your house were now quiet...no more fans, no more reporters. It was all empty and you were okay. Y/N's okay.
"We can go back now," Jungkook said barely above a whisper, looking over at Jin who seemed to be reading right through him. "I'm sleepy now."
" Yes," Jin said, eyes narrowing, "and I've been sleepy this entire time, yet you've woken me."
"I'm sorry."
"Don't apologize Jungkook-ah," Jin sighed out, arm moving slowly over to the passenger seat's head, "Just explain why the constant check-ups this time of night?"
"I," Jungkook licked at his bottom lip, staring up at your bedroom window, "I just wanted to make sure what happened outside a week ago managed to make a change...that's all."
Jin didn't say anything, simply humming out in agreement as he stared at the side of Jungkook's face. Did the older member believe that that was the only reason for Jungkook dragging him to your streets? No. No, Jin wasn't an idiot.
"There's something else bothering you," Jin said slowly, "I'm not asking for you to tell me, but just know that if you ever need to talk to me about it, I'm here."
Jungkook nodded.
Jin smiled lightly over the fact that Jungkook didn't deny that something was wrong.
Jungkook slowly found his eyes to dart away from Jin and over towards the window again. Brows slightly furrowed, he felt sleep hit him like a brick, his eyes dropping and tired.
"You care for Y/N," Jin said slowly, turning the vehicle on in an instant, "It's okay to admit that to yourself...even after everything that has happened between the two of you."
Jungkook didn't say anything to that.
Instead, he simply nodded again lamely before keeping his gaze on the window of the quiet and sleeping home of yours.
"Okay," Jungkook breathed out, feeling the car starting to move away from the streets now.
-
"Okay," the man said tiredly, turning on the vehicle so that he could leave the streets your house was located at. "Let's go home."
Vee stared over at the man that had his tired eyes fixed on the dark window before them across the street. Sitting in the vehicle across the street, sure, Vee felt uncomfortable but she didn't have any other choice but to be quiet and simply hear the siblings before her speak.
"You care for Y/N...that's why you drag us here every day," the woman said in the back, her hood on and hidden from Vee who sat in the passenger's side.
The car started to move, the car was silent. Only Vee's heavy and uncomfortable breathing seemed to challenge the silence that ringed through the atmosphere in the vehicle.
Jae didn't speak up to what was said by his sister. He remained silent, moving to obliviously follow another van that was far ahead of his when turning to exit the street.
The van ahead turned right.
Jae's car turned left.
The street that held your quiet and sleeping home was now silenced for the rest of the night.
