《Falling for a Star (Complete)》Chapter 36 - Epilogue

Their honeymoon in Hawaii was the best two weeks of Brenley's life, having amazing mind-blowing sex every day, swimming in the ocean, laying on a white sandy beach sipping pina coladas, riding jet skis, ziplining, hiking up mountains and making love under a waterfall. They learned how to hula dance and went to a luau and swam with dolphins. They went snorkeling and deep sea fishing.
That one vacation made up for all the vacations she never went on growing up and Dylan was a great travel partner because he was fun and adventurous and silly and he made her excited every day to wake up and see what they were going to do next. On that trip she learned to love travelling as much as her parents had and she was looking forward to taking many more trips with him.
For their one month anniversary Dylan surprised Brenley by buying her the Campus Perks coffee shop so she could be in charge and implement all the ideas she had to make it even better. She kept Dave on as the manager and the coffee shop was busier than it had ever been.
She wanted to work there as much as she could to get all her ideas up and running but not too long after they bought it she started feeling really run down and tired all the time and had to leave early every day. She wasn't sleeping very well and was getting sick every morning so she finally caved and went to see a doctor.
Like Dylan predicted, she found out she was pregnant and the doctor said they probably conceived right around their wedding night. Her and Dylan were both really excited and so were their families when they told them. It was the first grandbaby in both families.

Brenley found out soon after that, that the night of the wedding her best friends Ellie and Dave had both ended up getting really drunk and they woke up the next day in bed together completely naked. Apparently they had been too drunk to use protection because as fate would have it, Ellie got pregnant too.
So Brenley and her best friend most likely conceived their babies on the same night or really close to it.
Ellie and Dave ended up falling in love and getting married when she was six months pregnant and Brenley was her maid of Honor and Dylan was his best man.
Ellie and Dave ended up having a little girl they named Savannah and Dylan and Brenley had a little boy they named Tucker. Tucker and Savannah were born only a week apart and of course they grew up as the closest best friends ever, and were more like siblings than friends.
Brenley and Dylan ended up having three little boys and two little girls and her Dad spent a lot of time over at their house, reading to the babies and teaching them how to play chess and paint. He was very involved in their lives and seeing him so happy warmed her heart.
It became a tradition that Dylan's family came to stay for a week a couple times a year, at Christmas and the Fourth of July and Brenley became really close with all of them and his brothers' girlfriends and then eventually their kids. Brenley got the huge family she had always wanted.
It was really important to both Dylan and Brenley that their kids have as normal of a life as possible and that they learn the value of a dollar and hard work. They made sure they had chores and as they got older they were able to start earning money for things they wanted instead of having it handed to them. Any time they started getting out of line or acting too spoiled, Dylan's parents came to stay for a week and they straightened them right up.

Dylan stuck with his promise to only shoot two movies a year so he wouldn't be away from home too long and he only accepted parts with no kissing or sex scenes for his character, even though the studio put a lot of pressure on him to change his mind. He refused to budge on it. He focused on roles in action movies where he got to play a super hero, a badass detective, a CIA operative, a Mob boss ....... things like that.
He was a really good Dad and husband and hated being away from them for too long. He spent any time not shooting back in Iowa with Brenley and the kids and sometimes he flew them out to where he was shooting on location because he missed them too much. The kids loved being on the set with him and getting to see how movies were made but he always shielded them from the seedier sides of Hollywood and the people and places that could be a bad influence.
The whole family flew out to L.A. to go to his movie premieres with him but they avoided the drunken after parties full of drugs and hook ups. They also stayed away from the paparazzi and kept their names out of the headlines as much as possible. Dylan had never enjoyed that side of the business anyway. They spent their summers in L.A. at the beach house but they didn't go to industry parties and avoided the celebrity hotspots where paparazzi were likely to be.
In the end Brenley was able to have the coffee shop and family she always wanted in Iowa and experienced true love with the most unlikely person in the world, Dylan Chase, a huge movie star, the sexiest man alive but the man she just knew as her husband and her best friend.
Brenley's Dad eventually confessed that he had seen the sweepstakes to spend a week with Dylan Chase and he had always been a fan of his so he started doing research to find out what kind of man he was. He watched interviews where he talked about how he busked in the streets and lived out of his car while going on hundreds of auditions to get famous. He read about his family growing up poor and how the kids all had to help out and about all the charity work he did to pay it forward.
He said he thought Dylan was a really good man and that him and Brenley would be a perfect match for each other. He thought they had the same sense of humor, good heart and both worked really hard when they wanted something, so he signed her up hoping by some miracle she would win and get to spend a week with Dylan, hoping they would fall in love. He was really shocked when she actually won the sweepstakes out of the thousands that applied and his plan worked out. He always liked to tell everyone that just maybe her Mom was watching down on them and had something to do with it.
