"Come on Louis, I'm going to be late to my own band's practice." Luke whined as he flopped himself backwards on Louis' bed.
"Oh chill out, I'm done." Louis announced as he rubbed his two lips together to blend in his lipgloss. Luke made an over-exaggerated sigh as he jumped up from the bed and walked towards the bedroom door, opening it.
"Thank God, I don't see why you had to get changed. What you were wearing before would have been perfectly fine." Louis walked past the taller blonde boy and out of his own bedroom shaking his head.
"You said it yourself. Ashton wanted to meet me. I have to at least make a good impression." Louis stated, walking down the hallway and into the small living area. He walked around the sofa before taking a seat and placing on his purple flats to match the purple top he had on.
"Gosh, it was like you were meant to be born a girl." Luke groaned. Louis' head whipped around and shot his friend a playful glare before standing up and brushing down his white skirt. "Can we now leave?"
"Yes, let me just get my bag."
"I'm going to wait in the car. Hurry up." Louis rolled his eyes as he made his way into the kitchen where Megan was sat and his bag was placed.
"Hey. I'm leaving, do we need anything from the shop?" He asked the girl as he picked up his bag and held it in his left hand.
"Nope. I did the shopping on the way back from work. Is Luke dropping you back later?" She asked, flicking through the magazine she was reading.
"Yeah." He answered stepping forward and pressing a kiss to her cheek.
"Okay, don't be back too late, you have college tomorrow!" She ended up having to shout seeing as Louis was already walk out of the room.
"Yes mother. See ya later." And once again, the front door was shut and Megan was alone, not that she minded.
-
"Okay." Luke clapped his hands together as Louis climbed into his car. "Have you got everything you need because I am not turning this car around."
"Yes, yes. Just go will you. I need to meet this hot friend of yours." Louis rushed. Luke shook his head smiling before starting the car and driving off down the street towards his own house.
It took no longer than twenty minutes before they reached Luke's house and Louis felt a little nervous when Luke announced that Ashton was already there. He pulled his phone out of his bag to check his make-up and fussed about his hair.
"Louis calm down." Luke chuckled. "I told you to trust me. He's gonna love you. Ashton isn't one to judge, I promise." Louis just nodded his head and let out a large breath through his nose before getting out of the car. He shut the car door gently and waited for Luke to come around to his side so that he didn't have to walk into the garage on his own. "Just make sure you don't embarrass yourself and all will be okay."
Louis glared at his friend for real this time and Luke couldn't help but laugh at his friend. However, they both walked up to Luke's garage and Luke opens the small side door which the two of them both walked through.

"Ahh, there you are. What took you so long?" Calum asked. Luke's just stepped to the side and Calum looked over to Louis before his lips parted into a smile and gave Luke an understanding nod.
Calum and Louis are familiar with each other. They had gone to high school together along with Luke and had been one of Louis' best-friends. They still are, friends, that is, just not as close seeing as Calum does not go to the same college as the other two. Calum played bass in the band and also did vocals along with Luke.
Louis looked to the right of Calum stood the third band member Michael. Michael had also gone to the same high school but had not been in their small group of friends as he and Luke did not get along very well. However they had managed to work out their differences for the sake of the band and now Michael played guitar and vocals for the band, much like Luke. For as long as Louis could remember, Michael had been dying his hair and he was amused as he noticed that today his hair was yet another different colour; lilac.
"Uh, hey. I'm Ashton." Louis' eyes widened and his head slowly turned to the right. There stood the boy he had seen in pictures. Louis' eyes flickered back to Luke who had now left his side and was talking with the other two band members. Louis looked back to the boy with drumsticks and smiled softly.
"I'm Louis."
"I know." Ashton smirked. "Luke's told me a lot about you." Louis felt as if his cheeks were on fire and he had no problem figuring out that he was most definitely blushing like crazy.
"All good I hope." He chuckled nervously. Ashton nodded his head and smiled once more, not loosing eye contact with Louis. Louis quickly looked over Ashton's outfit, noticing that he was wearing dark blue jeans, a black vest top with a checkered shirt tied around his waist. He also noticed the bandana he had in his hair.
"Ash, get on the drums and stop flirting. We need to get started." Louis noticed the small coat of pink that covered Ashton's cheeks after Michael had spoke but decided to ignore it as Ashton smiled one last time.
"Lou, go sit on the sofa and tell us what you think?" Luke asked and pointed towards the old couch that was placed right in front the the band's set up.
Louis nodded, moving forward and sat down on the comfortable fabric, placing his handbag bedside him and crossing his right leg over his left. He leant back a little and placed his hands on his lap as he noticed that all four of the boys were now with their instruments. He looked over tithe drums, catching eye contact with Ashton and felt his cheeks burn yet again.
"This is Disconnected." He heard Luke say through his microphone. His eyes however, didn't leave Ashton's as the drummer hit two sticks together as if he counted up to four. "Life's, a tangled web..."
Louis found himself smiling, nodding his head to the beat of the song. He had to admit, Ashton looked extremely hot, sweat dripping down from his hair. He also thought that it was super cute how Ashton would pull faces as he concentrated on the song.

"...I like the summer rain, I like the sounds you make..."
Louis smiled even harder when Ashton looked up at him, showing his teeth as he grinned from the drum set. Louis gave him a thumbs up, giving the signal that he was very much enjoying the song. Luke felt himself roll his eyes as he watched over his friend. He wasn't sure how he felt about Louis and Ashton. He knows that they would make a really cute couple, he just wasn't sure if he was comfortable with two of his good friends dating.
However, when Calum began singing, Luke looked away from Louis and over to the Kiwi boy and he smiled. "..Hang up the telephone and just be here with me." There was a thing about Calum's voice that Luke really enjoyed. He liked the fact that it was different. He thought it was cute how his slight lisp could be heard when he sang and how it was a little higher pitch than others. Soon enough it was Luke's turn to sing again and he took a step forward, looking down at his guitar as he sang his next line.
"..we put the world away, yeah we're so disconnected." Louis jumped up from his seat on the old sofa, standing in his feet and clapping his hands as fast as he could get them to go. "That's amazing!" He cheered, looking over the four boys. "You all sound so good! I would so buy your album."
"Lou, you're my best friend, you were supposed to buy our album, even if you didn't like it." Luke laughed, setting his guitar down in the rack which was pushed against the wall at the back of the garage.
"Well..." Louis dragged out and giggled. Ashton stood from the drum stool and walked towards the cross-dresser, standing beside him. "You couldn't have made me." Ashton chuckled and Louis turned to smile at him. "Hey." He breathed, amazed with the sight before him.
"Hi." Ashton smiled back.
"Ew, guys stop flirting," Michael shouted from where he was stood leaning against the door Louis and Luke had came in from. "Come on, are we going or not?" He pushed his foot off of the door, standing up properly and opened the door. He stood out the garage, followed by Luke, the Calum.
Louis looked up at Ashton with a confused face. "Going where?" He asked.
"To Sally's, you know the café in town? We go there every Monday once we are done with practice." Ashton walked towards his bag which was placed by his drum set. "You wanna come?" He asked before gripping the bottom of his shirt and pulling the material over his head.
Louis went to answer but found himself struggling as he looked over Ashton's back. Watching the muscles contract as he bent down to pull out a clean shirt from his bag. "I-uhh." He was lost for words. Quite literally. His brain just was not able to function at that moment and happened to forget every word in the English language.
Ashton was oblivious to the stares Louis was giving him as he pulled over a fresh shirt. However, when he turned to Louis, waiting for an answer, he was suddenly aware of them. Louis' blue eyes went wide and Ashton just found himself smirking. Louis coughed, gaining back his voice and ability to talk through the shock of being caught. "Yeah, I-I would love to."
Ashton just nodded, picking up his backpack and slinging it over one shoulder before walking over to Louis. He held out his hand for Louis to take. Of course, Louis took it, who was he to say no? When he felt his fingers spread and others fill the gaps, his whole body felt warm. He looked down at his own and Ashton's hands entwined and felt his cheeks heat up. His hands seemed so small compared to the older boys. Not that he minded. It was comforting and made him fell.. Safe.
His thoughts were left, however, when he felt Ashton pulling him slightly, toward the door and out of the garage. And when they got down to Luke's car, where they were all waiting, Louis' cheeks felt as if they were on fire. He could feel Luke's eyes burning into his and Ashton's hand and he could hear Michael and Calum snickering.
Louis ended up sitting in the middle, sat between Ashton and Michael, with Luke driving and Calum in the passenger seat. All five boys sang loudly to the pop songs that came on on the radio, all the was to the café. And Louis did notice just how nice Ashton's voice had sounded. He began to wonder why Ashton didn't get any solos in the songs but remembered Luke saying once before that Ashton wasn't too keen on his own voice. Having heard it himself now, Louis had no idea why the other felt that way.
-
"No. Just stop Luke." Luke had been bugging Louis all night about Ashton.
After Luke had dropped all of the boys off, himself and Louis headed back to Louis' shared flat. And ever since, The boy wouldn't leave Louis alone. "But I know you like him." He grinned, watching his friends pick up some of his clothes that was spread out across his bedroom floor.
"I've met the guy once. Just quit at it would you." Louis groaned as he picked up a shoe, throwing it towards Luke, who was sat on his bed. The blonde let out a squeal as he fell backwards, trying his best to dodge the shoe.
"Never!" He shouted, laughing at the annoyed sound Louis made. However, the laughing was soon knocked out of him when Louis ran across his room and jumped on him.
"Luke!" Louis screamed, hitting the others chest, hard, but not hard enough to actually cause any damage. His plan soon backfired though, when Luke gripped his hands and switched their positions, straddling Louis' hips. He kept ahold of Louis' wrists with one hand whilst he tickled Louis' sides with his other.
Once Luke was done tickling the smaller boy and Louis had stopped his cries for help, Luke spoke. "That didn't go the way you intended it to now, did it?" Louis just turned his head, glaring at this friend who now lay beside him on his bed. "And you still like Ashton, don't you?"
"Oh my God," Louis groaned, rubbing his face with both hands.
