I looked at Haechan with an annoyed expression. "Why are you so stupid?"
Haechan flicked my forehead. "Why are you so ugly?" He laughed.
"Can you two not fight for once?" Mark rolled his eyes.
Haechan unexpectedly threw a strawberry at my face.
"That's it! I'm going to kill you!"
Haechan got up and ran out of the cafeteria while I chased after him.
Mark sighed out. "And there they go again. Do you think those two will ever get along?"
"Probably never." Jeno responded.
I walked down the empty hallways searching for Haechan who had disappeared from my sight. I was caught by surprise when he suddenly pulled me inside an empty classroom.
"Ya! You scared me." I lightly slapped Haechan's arm.
"Sorry." A cheeky smile appeared on his face.
He lowered his head to kiss my lips but I stopped him by throwing a strawberry at his face.
"Oww....what was that for?"
"Just a little payback." I smiled innocently at him.
"Really Haechan?" I questioned him with an annoyed expression. "A strawberry? I don't recall that being part of the plan."
"What?" He defended himself. "The argument had to look more believable."
"So out of everything you could have said, you decided to throw a strawberry at my face instead."
He smirked evilly at me. "Truth is I just thought it would be funny."
"Ya! Lee Hae-"
Before I could even scold him, he attached his lips on mine and pinned my against a wall. I was a bit surprised by Haechan's sudden action. My hands firmly gripped his biceps as he used his strength to gently carry me and sit me down on a random school desk. His lips made their way to my neck, catching me by complete surprise. I slightly pushed him away from me out of shock, but he only gripped me tighter and pulled me closer to him. This was a new side of Haechan that I haven't seen before. Despite his 'bad boy' persona that he fronted at school, he was actually more gentle and caring than one would think. This new dominant side to him was a surprise to me, but I couldn't say I didn't like it. He pressed his lips onto mine again. My hands automatically wrapping around his neck, deepening the kiss.

"What has gotten into you?" I gasped trying to catch my breathe from the heated kiss after breaking apart.
Hechan chuckled as he also tried to catch his breathe. "What? You didn't like it?" He smirked at me, driving me completely insane.
I pulled him closer to me by the collar of his uniform shirt, pressing my lips onto his. Unfortunately, the final lunch bell rang killing the mood. We both groaned in annoyance as we gathered our things.
I quickly pulled out my pocket mirror to fix my makeup before going back to class.
Haechan scoffed while watching me. "I don't know why you wear makeup. I think you're beautiful just the way you are."
I smiled and kissed the tip of his nose. "Awwe thank you babe, that's so sweet. But I hope you know that not all girls wear makeup to impress guys. Honestly we couldn't care less what you guys think, we wear makeup and dress up for ourselves...." I poked his chest as I walked past him."...not you."
I saw as Hachean's mouth dropped while I left him alone in the empty classroom.

Since Haechan and I were seatmates for our last class, he was the last person I saw before the end of the day. Sometimes I loved sitting next to him, but most times I completely hated it. Of course it wasn't because I hated him like in the past, it was because he always played around and never got any work done.
"Can you pay attention already." I snapped at him.
"But it's so boring." He whined and banged his head against the desk.
"Haechan! Final exams are this Friday."
He groaned and ignored what I said.
"When are we going on a real date?" He sighed out.
"What?" I asked. "We've been out haven't we?"
"Yes but not really." He groaned and looked at me. "We've been dating for a month now but we haven't been on a real date......you know......alone."

He did have a point. This whole month that we've been dating we never got the opportunity to go out alone. Most of our so called 'dates' have just been hang outs with the others. It wasn't our fault though, we were somehow always dragged to hangout together unwantingly. If we tried to get out of it, the boys would get suspicious or just plain annoying to the point that we were eventually forced to go out together.
I secretly held on to Haechan's hand under the desk. "If you pay attention the rest of the week and study hard for exams, I promise that we'll go on a date this Saturday. Just you and me."
He eyed me suspiciously. "Aren't you supposed to hangout with your precious bestfriend Chenle on Saturday?" He rolled his eyes as he said Chenle's name.
I nudged his arm slightly. "You are my boyfriend." I emphasized the word boyfriend. "I'll just tell him I'm sick or something."
I large grin formed on Haechan's face. "Really?"
"Yes really." I assured him. "Mark and Renjun are also going out of country to visit their families so it's the perfect time. Since we'll be on winter break, I could just say that I'm visiting Busan."
"Okay then, it's a deal." Haechan smiled before focusing his attention on the lesson. I giggled at his sudden determination.
To my surprise, Haechan spent the rest of the week completely focused in every class. He studied morning, lunch, and after school. It was a bitter sweet expirience. Sweet because I was proud that he was studying so hard, but bitter because he hardly paid any attention to me all week. By the end of exams I was desperately craving Haechan's attention, something I never thought I would say.
"I'm drained " I sighed out after our last exam. "That last exam was impossible."
"Ehh." Haechan shrugged his shoulders as we walked out of the classroom.
"Ehh! What do you mean ehh?" I asked shocked by his response.
"It was kind of easy."
I scoffed at his response while we met the others outside.
"Please." I rolled my eyes. "You out of all people thought the exam was easy."
"What are you talking about?" Jaemin asked after over hearing our conversation.
"This idiot over here says that he found the final exams easy."
"Wouldn't doubt it." Jeno suddenly added on.
"What do you mean?" I asked confused by his comment.
"Haechan's a genius." Jeno simply responded.
"What?"
I saw as Haechan smirked from the corner of my eye.
"He's a lazy genius." Mark joined in on the conversation. "He's lazy in the sense that he sleeps through almost all his classes and never does any work, but it's because he doesn't need to pay attention. This kid has a nearly photographic memory."
"It's unfair if you ask me." Renjun chimed in. "I study my ass off all semester just so this idiot can rank higher than me in the end."
"Rank higher than you?" I practically yelled in disbelief.
"Yea." Jeno sighed out. "Haechan has never failed to rank within the top 10 after exams."
"Number 1 to be exact." Haechan boasted proudly.
I glared at him in annoyance. He tricked me!
He studied my furious expression and smiled back at me nervously. "Well would you look at the time." He looked at the non existent watch he was wearing. "I should be going home now, I'll see you all later."
I smiled sarcastically at him and watched as he sped off into the distance. I swear I was going to murder him tomorrow when I saw him.

Ashes of the Primordial
With the upcoming shutdown of the servers for Ragnarok Games’ deep dive VRMMO, ‘Ashes of the Primordial’, the player log of those online for the final night was depressingly empty-looking. A revolutionary level of realism drove Ashes to the forefront of the games market, billions of players enjoying their journey to power and glory as an avatar of their own creation. The final enemy of the game-world defeated, the company announced, in line with their stance from launch, that they would be shutting down the game exactly six months after the defeat of Sutr, the final boss. Ammanas, the player responsible for Sutr's defeat, stays online until the end. However, as the countdown hits 0, the start-hub of his dive rig (what would typically greet a forced ejection from a game) was no where to be seen and instead darkness greets him as he fades into unconsciousness. Awakening to unfamiliar sights in an unfamiliar body, one which turns out to be a lot more familiar than he first thought, now he must figure out where, how, why and what to do with the new world he finds himself in. Author note: I don't own the cover, just something found through a google search. This is also my first story and the MC will basically be unimaginably OP yet never really utilising his full power. He just wants to find somewhere to fit in to the new world he finds himself in and despite both his nature as a loner and his interests he will find himself forming connections with the denizens of this new realm. Hope you enjoy
