《The Alpha's Girl》Epilogue

"Chance?"
I called out his name but there was no response. I sighed, knowing that if I called for him yet again, he wouldn't even answer. He wasn't home, I should know that. He was most likely at work already. There was a breach in the south boarder and he needed to go and attend to it. I wanted to go with him, but I was bedridden.
"Mommy!"
I sighed, knowing full well that I can't get out of bed to see which little one was calling my name. I feel so helpless. Chance said I can call him whenever through our mind link but he's working and I hate bothering him. I didn't really have any other choice because the child who was screaming for me started crying hysterically. Just as I was about to call Chance, I heard my name being called from downstairs.
"Up here! Where else would I be?"
A small laugh sounded from the hallway and I instantly knew it was Ryan. I haven't seen him much these past few days since him and Hannah were having a baby soon. She was due any day now. Chance gave him some time off so that he could tend to Hannah in her final days of carrying the baby.
When Ryan came into my room, a huge smile formed on my lips. He came over to my bed and gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Did you need anything, Bails?"
"You are a lifesaver, Ryan. I think Jamie is screaming for me in her room. Do you think you could get her for me and bring her in here? MY mom should be here soon to take her to school."
Ryan nodded and walked out of my room and down the hall to Jamie's room. Jamie will be turning six this year. She's in kindergarten and is my little devil. She is always getting into trouble but she's so cute that we can never stay mad at her for long. I had her right after Chance and I got married. Shortly after we got engaged, I got pregnant. Nine months later, the best thing ever came into my life.
I heard some small sniffles in the hallway. Ryan came into the room with Jamie in his arms. Tears were running down her face. He put her down gently and she came running over to my bed, squeezing the life out of me. Ryan came closer and pulled Jamie back a bit from me. "Remember what I said, love, Mommy need rest and you need to be careful with her."
"Sorry Uncle Ryan, I forgot already."
Ryan just smiled brightly at her and kissed both of her cheeks. She giggled loudly and crawled into the bed with me. I put on the tv and let Disney Jr play for her. Ryan came over and sat on the edge of the bed. "Is Jace still sleeping?"

I nodded. "I didn't hear anything on the baby monitor but could you possibly check on him for me? If he's awake, you can just bring him in here with me. He's probably hungry."
Ryan left and went to Jace's room. Jace is my second son. He will be five soon. I got pregnant shortly after Jamie was born. Jace is the sweetest little boy in the world. He goes to pre-school three times a week and hates it. He would rather stay at home with me.
Shortly after Ryan left, he came back in the room. "He's awake and I got him dressed and everything for you. He's downstairs with your mom. She made some breakfast for the kids. Your dad is coming over soon to take Jace to preschool."
I looked over at Jamie and she smiled at me. "It's time for school. Grandma made breakfast downstairs so please go and eat something before school. You have a great day today, okay? I love you."
I kissed Jamie's forehead and she hopped off the bed. "Okay, mommy. Will daddy be home tonight?"
I nodded. "He will be home before you get back from school."
Jamie smiled brightly and went downstairs to eat breakfast. Ryan sat back down on the edge of my bed. "Two down, one to go. I'll go check to see if Ben is awake."
Ryan left my room yet again and went to Ben's room. Ben is my third child. He's going to be three soon. He's more attached to Chance then he is me. He'd rather sit with Chance and watch football then sit with me, Jamie, and Jace and watch anything else. He's the cutest little baby. He doesn't go to school since he's so young still.
"He's wide awake."
Ryan came back into my room with Ben in his arms. Ben happily reached out to me and I took him from Ryan's arms. He cuddled into my chest and closed his eyes. He was very sleepily. Him and Chance were up late last night since Ben had a very high fever. We were so close to calling the pack doctor if we couldn't get the fever down. Luckily, it went down when he put him in a cooler bath. He's still groggily and a little sick.
"And now the final person of the Hayes pack; you. How are you feeling this morning? Do you need anything? How are the babies?"
I smiled wide. "I'm doing well this morning. I just wish I could do more than what I am right now. We are all so thankful for you Ryan as well as my family. You have all been such great help for me and Chance."

Ryan smiled. "It gives me practice for when Hannah has the baby. Anyway, you are having triplets and they're kicking your ass. Bed rest is what the doctor ordered. We just want you four to be happy and healthy."
"I know, Ry, I'm just a little nervous. With me having a rough pregnancy with Ben, this one is extra high risk since I'm having three! He said one of them or all of them might not make it, even me. But I'm trying to fight for the four of us."
I looked down at Ben, a smile forming on my face. I remember getting the news months ago when I collapsed in the kitchen. The doctor told me that this will be my last pregnant. He said I would be lucky if I have all three babies alive and healthy. It's been really stressful just thinking about it. I know for sure that all three babies will not make it and it breaks my heart just thinking about it. I'm not ready for this. Ryan has been a big help with this all. He's here whenever Chance can't be and when Hannah doesn't need him.
"Hey, are you about to cry?"
Before I could respond, I let the tears fall. Ryan came over and sat down on the bed with me. He sat next to me and I laid my head down on him and wiped away my tears with my free hand, trying not to wake Ben. Ryan gave me a small smile. "You and these babies are going to be just fine. You are the fist girl I ever met that could tame the beast outside. You came along and gave life back to this pack. You're the best Luna and you're so loved, Bails. You're so strong and you are these babies will all make it out just fine. Do you hear me? No more crying. The four of you are going to make it. Now, let's wipe these tears because I can hear Chance coming up and I'm not trying to die for making you cry, again."
I hiccupped and Ryan wiped my tears. He gave my hand a squeeze and stood up, opening the bedroom door for Chance. Chance was running full speed up the stairs, looking frantic. "Ryan! Buddy! Hannah just went into labor! Hurry to the hospital!"
All color drained from Ryan's face and froze. "What?"
Chance slapped Ryan slightly on the cheek. "Go! You idiot, run!"
Ryan shook his head and took off springing down the stairs. Chance watched Ryan run out of our house and once the door slammed shut, Chance turned to me. He gave me his infamous smile and came over to the bed. He crawled in next to me and kissed me and Ben on the head. "You're home early."
He rubbed small circles on Ben's back. "I wanted to come home and see my beautiful wife and children. Your mom just took everyone. How are you doing? And the little ones?"
"My back hurts and my butt is going numb from laying here. Other than that, I'm great. Ben also crushing my boobs."
Chance chuckled softly and moved Ben off of me. He stirred slightly but remained asleep. "My dad is downstairs. He's going to watch Ben for us. I talked to the doctor and he said it will be good for you to walk every now and then."
I perked up. "Really? Can we go now?"
"Of course. That's why I asked my dad to come over to watch Ben."
I smiled brightly. Chance brought Ben downstairs to his dad. After about fifteen minutes, I was ready. Chance tied my shoes since I couldn't bend over or see my feet anymore. Chance just laughed through it all. "Put this on, it's a little colder than usual."
I took the hat from Chance and placed it on my head. It was almost Christmas and the temperature was below freezing. He took my hand and helped me walk down the steps. We took a little longer than usual because it looks like I swallowed three beach balls and I waddled when I walked.
Once we made it down the steps and we're finally outside, I took a deep intake of breath, loving the fresh air. My arm was intertwined with Chance's. We walked in silence, watching the snow fall slowly from the sky. We looked at all the Christmas lights decorating the pack house and people's homes. The entire pack was beautiful.
The snow started falling a little harder and Chance stopped us from walking. He pointed above us because hanging from the tree was mistletoe. I smiled widely and Chance bent down and kissed my under the snowy sky. As I stood there kissing Chance, I never felt so safe and loved. I had everything I could ever dream of. I have a beautiful family, a loving husband, and the best of friends. If our house never burnt down nine years ago, I would have never moved in with my grandparents and met Chance, who brings so much life into my life. He gave me the life I never thought I would ever have and I'm so goddamn grateful for that.
Without Chance, I wouldn't know what love truly is and who I really am. Without Chance, I wouldn't be who I am.

Grimm Season 6 Episode 14: In the Nick of Time
After multiple young women disappear in the woods, Nick and the rest of the gang are called to investigate. Meanwhile, Deputy Farris relies on Hank for answers when the kidnapping suspect claims that monsters took his fiance. Elsewhere, Nick has a surprise for Adalind when she arrives at the loft, and Josh contacts his friends from Portland. This story is a season 6 episode 14 fanfiction of the hit NBC show Grimm and, therefore, takes place soon after season 6, episode 13. In this story, we get to see the immediate aftermath of the Grimm finale, see some familiar faces, and answer a few questions that were left up in the air with Grimm's end. This tale is based on the Brother's Grimm fairy tale, Jorinda and Joringel (though I recommend reading the real fairy tale after finishing the book). I do not own Grimm or any of the characters. I wrote this story out of respect and longing for my favorite show that has ended. This story contains violence and mild language.
