"I guess if you're heroes of legend, you get special treatment..."
The five of us all settled down.
"The girl who showed us here was cute too!"
I rolled my eye at his such un manly behavior.
"And though it did taste un usual, our dinner was quiet sumptuous." Itsuki replied to Naofumi's words.
Naofumi scrolled through something called a status, which the king had talked about while we first met each other.
Naofumi's face looked confused.
"Hey, doesn't this kinda seem like a video game?"
I could see Motoyasu scoff "That's because it IS from a video game, it's from a game called Emerald Online!"
"Never heard of it." Naofumi repied.
"Seriously? It's huge!"
"What are you talking about? This isn't some online game," Itsuki butted in their conversation "It's a new console game I'm playing. Called Dimension Web."
'Never heard of that either...' I thought mentally.
"Your both wrong. Everything about this place is identical to a VR MMO called Bravestar Online..." Ren spoke up.
"I've.... Never heard of any of those titles." I added on.
Everyone seemed puzzled.
Motoyasu then gave out a big sigh. "All right, lets sort this out."
"First off, Ren. Do you mean an actual virtual MMO?"
"Yeah."
"You guys know what he means by that too right?" He turned to look at each of us in the room while speaking.
"A Sci-Fi game I'm familiar with explored the concept." Itsuki responded with no hesitation.
"Well I suppose that I am familiar." I said right after.
"Yeah, I read about them in light novels." Naofumi responded.
'Wow, a book nerd.'
Motoyasu then paused for a little. "Now to be sure, lets compare general knowledge..."

'Why would we need to do that..'
"Who's face is on the 1 ,000 yen bill."
"Ready andd...!"
We all blurted out our answers, but what I had said seemed to be different from everyone else's ...
"..."
"Wait who?" Even I was shocked by this.
We began questioning more general facts of common knowledge, but none of them seemed to have matched up.
"I guess there's only one explanation, we're all from different versions of Japan..."
"It seems to be so..." I followed after Itsuki.
"How come the four of you have played games so much like this world? Why am I the only one not familiar with it?"
We all looked at Naofumi and hid our voices away for a while.
"What?"
"Oh nothing... I just assumed because you were the shield hero." I could feel the nervousness coming from Itsuki's voice
'Honestly though, it does seem reasonable to think that.' I hummed in agreement.
"Hah, you too?"
"Well yeah, it would only make sense."
Naofumi gasped confused. "Why? Is there something wring with the shield!?"
'Oh yeah... There are a good amount if things bad about shields.'
"Calm down. As the oldest one here, let me speed you up on the basics..." Motoyasu spoke in a kinda way as he walked closer to Noufumi.
"The shield is for losers, cause no true gamers ever play it."
Naofumi gasped and leaned back a bit from where he was sitting. Before taking out a loud scream.
He seemed so confused, how has he never known about this?
He dropped himself back down on the chair, and then starting to get lost in thought.
We ignored him and started some small talk.
"So, what's the terrain here like?"

"It looks pretty familiar for me." I replied to Motoyasu.
"I'm not sure, but it does look the same from what I'm use to." Ren spoke after.
"Hey Y/N." Itsuki waved to me.
I hummed in response.
"How did you get here?"
Motoyasu raised a brow.
"Like us."
"Yeah but..." Itsuki paused for a bit.
"There are four cardinal heroes. The bow, sword, spear and sword..."
"That is correct." Ren butted in.
"And it seems to me that you have a gun."
I took a look at the gun I had been carrying since I had gotten here.
"I... Don't know..." I tried putting puzzles together but there really is no way of telling how I got here.
"I'm coming world!"
I looked back to were the noise had come from, and it was Naofumi screaming from the balcony.
'Very cliche.'
"Well then, let's head back to our rooms and get a good nights sleep.." Minyasu said.
The three of use nodded and left

Here, a man is brought to a foreign world as his new character in the VRMRPG, Underworld of Armok, at Level 1. Accumulating power to help the less fortunate. There's just one caveat; he's a Necromancer, and his greatest source of strength will probably get him lynched.Quick DescriptionAnother video game/isekai novel. The Thread, in case you get a bit confused about people/places. [16+] Now probably! For strong language and violence! And anthropophagy and lewd intimations! And stupid jokes and obscure references! And philosophical ditherings and a slow pace! Make peace with the absurd, and come to terms with the terrible!

The Designated: Out of Control
It happened quicker than anyone would have imagined. Multiple hurricanes were one thing. People had dealt with that in the past. But, like kids playing dominoes, one thing crashed into another. Areas affected by hurricanes needed resources all along the Gulf and East Coasts drew rescuers and resources away from other parts of the country. When wildfires lit up the Pacific coast and mid-west, those areas were already understaffed. Driven by hurricanes in the Pacific basin, uncontrolled wildfires burned through towns, destroying everything in their paths. Across the Pacific, Asia didn't escape. From the Philippines, across China, into Indochina, and Bangladesh and India. Typhoons and cyclones pounded the coasts and far inland. Widespread flooding forced millions from their homes and across international borders. Mexico was hit hard and thousands died in mudslides as Katia slammed into their East Coast. The refugees fled north and west. Rumours started that hundreds of thousands were headed for the US border. Instead of running out of steam in the southern US, several hurricanes tore up the eastern seaboard, devastating cities and renewing their strength before veering east across the Atlantic. Maria and Ophelia veered east and slammed into Europe, reaching as far as the Netherlands and Russia before finally dissipating. After that, too many weather stations were offline to provide any form of co-ordinated information or warnings. Wildfires in Portugal burned ahead of the storms, fanned by hurricane winds. They sparked wildfires leapfrogging across Europe, beyond any one country's ability to cope. Already uneasy from multiple terrorist attacks over the summer, anti-refugee groups seized the opportunity to stage protests across Europe. Some turned violent as they clashed with police forces. Several governments declared martial law to quell the rioting and enforce evacuations along the path of the storms. Rumour and speculation overwhelmed facts. Unrest spilled over into widespread violence. Then sickness broke out in the displaced populations. Within a matter of a dozen weeks, tens of millions died. In the coming winter months hundreds more would follow. The Designated Project was activated.
