《His Precious Girl》Chapter Thirteen

"You'll be okay." I said as I ran my fingers through Lee's soft hair.
It was lunch and we decided to head outside for the rest of the half an hour we had. I was sitting on a bench with Lee's head laying on my lap and the rest of his body was curled up on the bench.
"This is a big match and scouts are coming to check us out too." Lee said anxiously while playing with my free hand that was resting on his stomach.
"I know but you're so good at soccer so don't worry and just play your heart out." I told him and he smiled up at me.
"You're right. Thanks precious." He said and I grinned.
"You'll be at the game right?" He asked.
"Of course! Anissa and I are going to come and cheer for our boys." I said cheekily and he chuckled.
"Isn't that your soon to be step sister." Lee asked looking towards the trees that were surrounding the school grounds. I looked as well and noticed Mira sitting on the grass a few meters away from us leaning her head on a tree trunk behind her and listening to music with her eyes closed.
"Yep that's Mira." I answered.
"She goes here?" Lee asked curiously.
"Yeah it's her first day today I haven't seen her till now though." I told him my hand still running through his hair.
"Wait isn't that the douche who tried to ask you to prom?" Lee said with a hint of bitterness in his tone.
I looked back and it was indeed Darius who was walking towards Mira with a very familiar red rose in his hand.
He patted her shoulder and she looked up at him and got up.
They said a couple of sentences before he gave her the rose which she accepted with a small smile.
She nodded at what he said as she took the rose and he grinned. After a couple of more words exchanged between the two Darius walked away from Mira with a satisfied smile.
Mira sat back down and stared at the rose for a couple of moments before shrugging and putting her headphones back in.

"Wow. That jerk couldn't even come up with something new." Lee said and I chided him for being rude but internally agreed.
He could have come up with a new way but oh well.
"Should I be worried that he's taking her to prom? He was kinda rude the other day." I said worriedly and Lee grinned up at me.
"Already feeling protective for your soon to be sister." He teased and I flicked his forehead.
Hard
"Ouch!" He yelped rubbing the now red spot and I instantly felt bad.
"Sorry I didn't mean to do it that hard." I said apologetically.
You totally did.
I ignored my conscience and instead lent down and gave his forehead a kiss.
"It's okay now that you've kissed it better." He said and we both started laughing.
"Come on we should go to our locker the bell is going to ring soon." I said and he groaned but got up anyways.
We walked back to school and Lee grabbed my hand and made his way to his locker.
"I need to give you something." He said with an exited smile as he opened his locker.
He grabbed something and handed it to me. I glanced down at my hands and looked at the soccer jersey with the name Jenson and the number four.
"Will you wear it to the game?" He asked as he tucked a lock of my hair behind my ear before caressing my cheek with his knuckles.
"Of course I will!" I said with grin and wrapped my arms around his torso in a hug. He squeezed me back before letting go and kissing my forehead.
"I need to go to my locker now." I said and he nodded.
"I'll see you later precious." He said and let me get out of his arm to walk to my locker as he made his way to his class.
As I was getting the books I'll need for the next few classes that were left for the day someone patted me on the shoulder.
"Oh hey." I said when I turned to see it was Mira.
"Hi I was wondering if you could show me the way to my chemistry class? It's on another floor and I have no idea how to get there." She said and I nodded.

"Sure. I actually have chemistry right now!" I said with a smile.
"Cool." She nodded and I closed my locker before we made our way to class.
We were walking up the stairs in an awkward silence when I decided to break it.
"I saw Darius talking to you a while ago, what did he say?" I asked even though I already knew.
But I did not want to tell her that I knew because he tried to do the same thing to me a week ago.
"He asked me to go to prom with him." She said and I gestured for her to continue with a hand motion.
"I said yes. I mean he was kinda cute I also know no one in this school besides you and your boyfriend so I had figured I would be going to prom alone but then he asked so I though why not?" She said with a shrug.
"Ahh. Makes sense." I said and we fell back into silence.
Mira sat next to me in class since we had a free period after the big exam yesterday and we could sit wherever we wanted. We talked for a while and I found out a few things about her.
She's not talkative but she can be brutally honest and she's usually closed off and only talks to you if you ask her something. She seems cold from a distance but she's actually pretty chill.
I thought I wasn't going to like her but I guess having her as a step sister wasn't going to be that bad.
"What do you have after?" I asked her as the bell rang and students started leaving the classroom.
"Art." She said.
"That's cool! I have math." I said even though she didn't ask.
"Okay. I guess see you around." She said and with a final nod she left the class.
I walked to math class and was surprised to see a fight happening in the middle of the hallway.
I was going to ignore it and walk away when I heard a familiar voice that stopped me in my tracks.
"What the fuck were you doing?" I heard the voice say and I pushed through the crowd to see Marcus yelling at this random dude.
"Dude chill I was just trying to talk to her." The dude said with an eye roll.
I looked around and spotted Anissa standing there with fear in her eyes and my eyebrows shot up.
I noticed Lee was standing next to her looking at the two boys in the middle of the crowd with a watchful gaze as if ready to come in between if something happened.
I made my way to Anissa and grabbed her arm to grab her attention.
"What the heck is happening?" I whispered at her.
"That guy kept bothering me in class and when I walked out he grabbed my arm forcefully and it actually hurt like a bitch. Than he just looked at me really weirdly and that's when Marcus and Lee came." She explained and just as I was about to say something I heard a loud banging noise.
"Don't ever touch her without her permission again." Marcus said after punching the dude who stumbled back into the lockers.
"Shit." Lee said as he rushed to pull Marcus away.
"Where the heck are teachers?" I asked no one in particular and just as I said that a teacher came out of his classroom and stared in shock at the small crowd.
"Everyone go to class! And you three follow me!" Said the teacher pointing at the boys in the middle of the crowd.
I looked at Lee worriedly and like he could sense my look he turned back and gave me a reassuring smile.
I'll text you later. He mouthed to me and I nodded.
I looked at Anissa's wrist and my eyes widened at the bruise.
"He gave you a freaking bruise?!" I almost yelled in the now almost empty hallway.
"Yeah it's whatever. Go to class you'll be late." Anissa said hiding her bruise and I narrowed my eyes.
"We're going to the infirmary then I'm taking you home." I said dragging her to the infirmary as she complained about me overreacting.
