(Tw: death and insinuation homicide, etc.)

Pouring two cups of coffee I smile at the people infront of me. "Thank you for helping us with the tire issue." Jessica's boyfriend Brandon said as I handed him his cup. "It's no problem." I shrug and hand Jessica her cup. "I forgive you, you know that. Right?" She looks at me confused and I just sigh and smile. "Actually I'm kind of happy you guys left me out here. I've even made some friends. And I'm really considering moving out here permanently." I explain and sip my own coffee. The three of us stood in the gas station in silence. "You're very lucky I didn't call the cops on you. But hey in most cases like mine cops wouldn't even help." Jessica looks to her boyfriend. "You're reall going to stay here?" She asks me. I nod and look out the gas station window. "Yeah. Could you just do me a favor?" I ask. "I won't press charges if you do." I finish. "Sure thing." Brandon answers for Jessica. "Check on my mom for me every now and then. She knows what you all did so if you'll apologize to her I'll feel better." The two agreed to my negotiations and once they were done with their coffees I walked them out the doors. "Yall should get goin. I'll tell Bo you left the money with me." I hold out my hand and Jessica nods handing me a small wad of cash. "Thank you." She mumbles before the two of them get into their car. Leaning on the building I watched them leave. "Bo's gonna be pissed." I sighed before walking back into the station.

As I scrubbed the dishes and listened to the radio I felt calm. There were chocolate chip cookies in the oven which would be done in a few minutes. I had cleaned part of the house. These damn Bandages itched though. And Bo's fucking shouting didn't help the head ache I had coming on. I just focused on tbe music from the radio though. Finishing the last dish I took off my dish gloves. The Bandages were sweating and slightly damp. Fuck they itched. Shrugging I pulled the cookies out the oven and placed them on the cooling rack. Vincent sat at the table silently waiting. Bo was still pacing the floor and shouting at me. Luckily Lester wasn't home yet. Don't think I could explain everything to him very well. As I thought about everything that had just taken place the radio turned. "Drivers be careful, car crash on highway 81." The small smile that I already had plastered to my face grew. Bo didn't seem to pay attention to the radio. "You let them get away! How the hell could you just do that?! Vincent would have been able to use them!" Bo shouted the same thing over and over again. I rolled my eyes, still smiling, and poured Vincent a cup of tea. He looked up at me and saw the joy I was feeling.

"What did you do?" Vincent whispered to me as Bo finally walked out of the kitchen. "Oh I didn't do anything sweetheart." Nothing can could be traced back to me anyway. "I need a cigarette, I'll be right back." I smile and kiss the forehead of his mask. Walking out onto the porch I pulled a cigarette out the box with my mouth. As I lit it Bo walked out and stood infront of me. "You fucking scared us." He states lighting his own cigarette. "How?" I ask blowing out smoke. "You're really asking how? You were gone for hours. Didn't call. Then you just come back all cut up and bruised." Bo whisper scolded me. He probably hurt his throught while yelling at me before. "And you won't even tell anyone what you did." I looked to my left, not making any eye contact, when the sound of my phone ringing started. Pulling the phone out my shirt I answer. "Hey mom, you're on speaker." "(Y/n) I have some bad news." Mom says in a solemn tone. "What is it?" I ask and look at Bo. He was listening closely and looking at the phone in my hand. "It's Jessica, her and her boyfriend Brandon. They got into a terrible car crash." Mom explained and it sounded like she was pretty upset. "Neither one made it out a live." "Oh, shit." I put on a shoked voice and watched as Bo looked at me confused. "I just wanted to let you know." Mom said and I thanked her. "Love you mom. I think I need to go lay down." "Ok baby, please take care." "I will." I sigh before hanging up. Bo looked at me and tilted his head. "(Y/n), what did you do?" "Nothing hun." I placed my hand on his face and smiled. "Don't worry you're pretty little head bout it." Patting his cheek I turn and walk back into the house.

My body was sore so I went up to the big bathroom and started to run myself a bath. As I stripped down I looked over the bruises on my body. My arms where pretty banged up. A few deep purple ones on my legs. Turning to the side I started to unwrap the bandage I had on my side. The gash I had stung like a bitch but luckily it wasn't very deep. Sinking into the water I winced. "Fuck." The water stung the gash and smaller scrapes. But Soaking always helped when I was hurt. I hummed a little tune as I scrubbed my skin. I didn't feel any remorse for what I did. I don't think I really will for a while. They both had it coming. I'd have to hand it to Brandon. He was quick on his feet, but terrible with a knife. My fingers traced over my gash once again. Jessica on the other hand, she got more blows in. My jaw still kind of hurts. I'll really have to thank Lester for taking me out last time. If it weren't for him I never would have seen that building of cars they keep. I looked at my hands and laughed. To think, after everything I did today my hands would get cut up from opening a can of soup.
