The three of us sat looking at eachother. "I know if yall wanted me dead I would be. So why am I still here?" I ask politely as I twiddle my thumbs. Lester stays quiet while Vincent just stares at me. "Hey I'm not complaining. I'm alive. Got some bruises but I'm alive. I've been all the time in the world." I shrug and smile. "I told you to keep her quiet!" Bo shouts from what I assume to either be down the hall or the living room. "You keep talking back Ass hat!" I call back. "Your brother's kind of a dick." I joke with Vincent. I had to assume they were brothers maybe even the twins from the photo I saw. Vincent shakes his head no and just shrug again. "Guess it's easy for me to say since ya know, the whole trying to kill me thing." Man what is happening to me? Guess fight or flight has turned to sarcasm or flirt.
Lester places a plate of what looks like stew infront of me. "Eat up, made it myself." He says all proud of himself. "Thanks hun, looks good." I smile. Looked good? Yes. Smelled good? Nope. Vincent got himself a plate and Lester called for Bo. Grabbing my fork I scooped up a chunk of meat. Popping it into my mouth it had a gamey taste. "Deer?" I ask swallowing it down. "Yeah, how'd you know?" Lester asks as he sits across from me. "Tiny town remember, back home you either have to hunt your meat, raise it, or be lucky enough to have a cousin thay raises it. My step dad would go hunting and bring back deer if he couldn't get an elk." I explain before going back to eating. "Yeah with all the animals I clear if it's still fresh enough I just bring it home. No use waisting good meat." Lester beams and I hold back choking. "Yeah that's just what someone wants to hear when they're eating." Bo smirks as he sits down next to me.

"Whats wrong? Too fancy for it?" Bo asks as he digs in. I sit up and straighten my posture before continuing to eat. "So now you stop talking." If looks could kill he'd be a skeleton scattered around by coyotes. I swallow my food before speaking up. "I just don't enjoy talking with my mouth full is all." I state plainly and turn to look at Lester. "It's really good, thank you for making it." Lester turned a bright shade of pink before going back to eating. I looked over at Vincent who was just moving the food around with their fork. "Not hungry?" I ask sympathetically. "If you'd like me to look away so you can take off your mask I could." They looked up at me from their plate with a hint of softness in their eye. Slowly he nods his head yes and I nod back. Turning to face the wall I continue eating.

Once everyone was done I helped Vincent to do the dishes. Lester sat in the corner watching us. "Why are you helping?" Lester asks as I hand Vincent a plate to dry. "Well since I'm probably going to be here a while I might as well make the best of it. Could be Stockholm syndrome, or my daddy issues, too." I say with a smile as I continue to scrub the dishes. The hot water felt soothing on my hands. The three of us sat in silence as Vincent and I finished the dishes. "You sweep the floor, I'll wash the counters. Sound good?" I ask Vincent softly patting his back. More to use his sweater to dry my hands than anything. He tilted his head at me and I felt a soft smile pull at my face. "Here, hand me your dish cloth." Vincent hands over the cloth and I feel his hand hold mine. Surprisingly soft. Guess that's what happens when you work with wax.

"Count you turn on the radio Lester?" I ask as I scrub. "Sure thing!" Lester smiles at me and does as asked. Classical music played as Vincent and I cleaned. "Wouldn't see you guys as Classical lovers." I joke and Lester let's out a little laugh. "That's my bit brother for ya. Vince really does like the pretty things." I looked over to Vincent who was swaying as he swept. "Hmm." I smirked and set my dish cloth down. I step over to the masked man and tap his shoulder. "Excuse me," he looks at me shyly and I hold out my hand. "May I have this dance?" I ask softly. Hesitantly Vincent took my hand as the song changed. 'Hey lover' started playing as Vincent placed one hand on my hip and held my hand with the other. I placed my free hand on their shoulder as we started moving. Vincent's movements started out stiff so I started us swaying and moving in a circle. "Don't dance much do you?" I whisper as we danced in the kitchen. "We can stop if you'd like." I try to comfort my dance partner. Quickly though Vincent shook his head no. Straightening their posture he sways with me and from what I could tell from his eye Vincent was even smiling. Lester was beaming as the two of us danced. "Look at you Vince! Dancing like a big city boy!" Lester laughs but I don't think Vincent was paying attention. He spun me around and held me to him with my back on his chest and crossed my arms with his as we swayed. I couldn't believe it but I was actually having fun. I even found myself laughing as we danced. Vincent even ended the dance by spinning me I to Lester's arms. I laughed as Lester took my hand and danced me around like an old 50s movie.
When we were done dancing I was out of breath and my face hurt from smiling so much. "Alright," I chuckle catching my breath. "I think I need to get on up to bed." Lester looked slightly sad. "Aw come on (y/n) just one more song." Even Vincent help up one finger to show one more song. "Sorry boys, I'm exhausted. But we'll dance more tomorrow." I promise the boys before walking out the kitchen. "Good night!" I wave to the two of them. Lester waves back smiling. "Good night (y/n)!" Vincent watches me walk up the stairs and just waves quietly.

The Hazards of Skinny Dipping
This isn't a deep book about first loves or self-discovery. If you want a book like that, I'd be happy to recommend one, but I don't have that kind of story to tell. Instead my story is about rash decisions and finding out that your dream guy is bad in bed. It's the story of when I finally went skinny dipping, and how my life was never the same again. Oh, and it's also the story of my freshman year of college and realizing Mr. Right might have been there all along.
