《Rise of the Dark Council (Star Wars x Male Sith Reader)》Chapter 13: Leaving Mortis and a Council Meeting

This chapter takes place a year after the last one and also a few weeks before the events of a New Hope.
Y/N POV
A year had passed since I was brought to the realm of Mortis and began my training under my father. In that time period, I had grown to master my Force abilities, far better than I ever could before.
I was currently sat meditating in the Well of the Dark Side, In my mind, I was running numerous scenarios in my mind, all of which focused on a specific person. Even though, I only met this person once, to focus my hatred, all I needed to do was think of Maul, the man who murdered my mother.
In my mind, I just envisioned him stood before me, with his double bladed lightsaber ignited.
Image of Maul:
Just like with my other practices, we fought for a bit before I eventually defeated the vision, using both my lightsaber and the Force. It is unclear if I would actually be able to defeat Maul, in fact I didn't know if he was even still alive.
I was snapped from my meditation when I heard my father, the Son of Mortis interrupt my focus by saying "You have improved greatly, in fact. I believe that it is finally time to say you have completed your training here."
Without giving me a chance to say anything, he turned around and said "Follow me, I will take you to your ship." And just like that, in an instant, we were back outside the Well and my father walked off indicating for me to follow.
In case you were wondering, during the year I spent on Mortis, I had asked my father the truth about why he chose my mother, he said it was because he knew of her relation to Darth Marr and viewed her as a worthy host.

Anyway, I followed my father until we arrived at the giant structure that I now knew was the Cathedral father called 'home' it was here that I had stayed during my year, training on Mortis.
Image of the Son's Cathedral:
Much to my surprise, my starfighter was actually parked right outside. Before I could ask though, my father cut me off by saying "I had it brought here so you could leave sooner."
I responded by saying a quick "Thank you." "You will not fail me, my son. You shall restore the Dark Side to the galaxy, no more hiding in the shadows like that Sidious and his puppet Vader." He spoke, folding his arms.
Make no mistake, while I think I'd be able to hold my own against Vader now, there was no way I could ever face Sidious in a duel.
I just nodded in understanding before entering my Starfighter. Before the door closed, I heard my father finally say "I will be watching you Y/N." And after that the door shut.
I got in the pilot seat and turned the ship on before taking off. In an instant, I found myself no longer on Mortis, but rather in the middle of space, where the Revenged and that Mining Freighter once were.
Of course in the year that had passed, neither were present anymore, however I knew I knew exactly where to head next, and where the Revenged would be. Luckily my Starfighter came with a hyperdrive so I just went into lightspeed back to Taris.
Timeskip...
Upon arriving at Taris, I was initially met with surprise, however I didn't have time for that and instantly called a council meeting. Each member of the Dark Council appeared, having returned. As I began to inform them of my discovery.

"For those who've heard the rumors of my demise, I wish to clarify that they are in fact FALSE! As you can see I am not dead. I have instead been in exile, training for an assignment I wish to accomplish."
I brought up a hologram showing the Scepter of Ragnos.
Image of the Scepter of Ragnos:
I proceeded to then explain to the council. "This is the Scepter of Ragnos. Before I got sidetracked, I ambushed a Mining Guild Freighter supposedly carrying this artifact. However upon sieging the freighter, I found out it had already been delivered to Sidious to be put on display in the Imperial museum, formally known as the Jedi Temple."
Jerec asked "What do you suggest we do about this?" I turned to him before saying "There is another task that needs accomplishing preferably at the same time as this one. While on Mortis, I was told about a certain dagger." I brought up a hologram of the dagger.
Image of the Dagger of Mortis:
"This is the Dagger of Mortis and rumor has it, it is located within Darth Vader's castle on Mustafar. So here's what I propose. I suggest, me, Jerec and Desann travel to Coruscant and infiltrate the Imperial museum, the rest of you are charged with infiltrating Vader's castle."
This time it was Tavion who spoke up, saying "And how do you suppose we deal with Vader? He will no doubt be occupying his castle." I turned to her and coldly said ""You have numbers on your side, there are nine of you and one of him, that should suffice."
I ended the meeting on a final note, "If there is no further debates. I suggest we get to it. Jerec, Desann follow me."
With that I stomped out of the room, ready to begin the mission which would terrify me for years to come.
Author's Note: That's it for this chapter. I'm sorry if it's a bad one, again, I found this chapter difficult to write. Regardless, I hope you enjoy and as always thanks for reading.

Limitless Adaptation
Jamie, 19, was walking into the kitchen for dinner when he suddenly found himself walking down a street in another world, a world with a game system. There, he meets a half-dragon, half-human named Adam, who faces adversity in most places, because of his parentage, and not long after they meet, the two of them are forced to leave town, due to Adam's beast nature. In the world of Tielmar, there are species of all varieties, a Class exists for nearly everything, and Skills come in quite a few forms. Jamie starts off with a Skill called "Limitless Adaptation", which supposedly allows him to adapt to any need, but is it really as powerful as it sounds? And more importantly - can it help him survive in a world where his first friend is a reject in all communities? Will Jamie, Adam, and the other friends and teammates they make in their journey find peace, allies, and love? Or will they fall to the powerful Adventurers that soon begin to hunt their team, to claim the bounties on several of its members, a bounty Jamie himself quickly finds on his own head? All of Book 1 is now posted, and Limitless Adaptation is officially done with the decision to rewrite. Credits for the cover go to me. That duck decided it wanted to nest in the flowerpot in front of my bank, so I took a picture of it.

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
