《Star Wars: Rebirth of the Sith》Chapter 3

It was dark. Jadek couldn't see clearly through the sand blowing into his face. he felt a presence in the force. He continued forward battling against the sandstorm that was raging around him. Eventually he came to what looked like the ruins of some kind of temple. "Seek me out on Korriban" boomed a deep voice. At the centre of the ruin was a doorway and in that doorway stood a dark, hooded figure. Jadek felt the force begin to pulsate around him. As the sandstorm began to clear the hooded figure ignited a crimson lightsaber. Jadek immediately went for his own sabers but the weren't there. As he began to panic the dark figure ran towards him and let out a devastating blast of force energy that sent jadek reeling onto the ground. As soon as he looked up the figure was upon him. He couldn't see a face, only black robes highlighted by the light from the weapon he was holding. "When you find me on Korriban i will show you the truth. I will open you up to your full potential." Said the figure as he raised the lightsaber above his head. This was it. Jadek couldn't move. Paralysed by some kind of dark energy. If this lightsaber comes down Jadek was dead. The hooded figure brought the lightsaber down upon him. Jadek jumped up. He was startled by what had just happened. But he looked around and realised that he was in his quarters and that he was alone. "A dream? No that felt too real." He thought to himself as he wiped the sweat from his brow. "Who was that? What did he mean by saying that he would show me the truth? The truth to what?' He thought to himself. He didn't need any more confusion or any more questions he could not answer. He put this to the back of his mind while he readied up to head for the hanger and begin his mission to Korriban.

When he got to the hanger it was very quiet. There was very little activity and the only person there, other than security detail, was the quartermaster. "Master San'Ti, good morning. Your A-Wing is ready for departure. Our tech specialist has installed a stealth drive into the ship to assist you in arriving undetected. The ship is fully fuelled so you should be able to get to Korriban with plenty of fuel remaining. A short light speed jump away from Korriban will be the cruiser 'Guardian' where your A-wing can dock and you will be transported back to Coruscant. If there is anything else you need please feel free to obtain it from the warehouse."
"Thank you Quartermaster. Am I flying solo?" Asked Jadek.
"No sir. there will be a piloting droid on board with the co-ordinates for Korriban in its nav-unit should you wish to engage in auto pilot" replied the quartermaster.
With a slight bow of his head Jadek boarded his ship. An A-wing was the Republics smallest ship. They were nimble fighters but against a cruiser it had no hope but with the stealth drive and Jadek ability to hide within the force he should be able to enter Korriban completely undetected. Jadek signalled the quartermaster and began to fire up his thrusters as the hanger doors opened. Once opened fully the A-wing shot out at speed and Jadek went straight into space above Korriban. "PD-4, set auto-pilot for the Korriban system. I am preparing to jump to light speed" ordered Jadek as the droid acknowledged this command with a few beeps. It wouldn't be too long before they reached Korriban so Jadek needed time to prepare to cloak the ship in the force just in case the stealth drive wasn't enough. That and he was still replaying the previous nights dream over in his mind. And then the questions started again. What would he find on Korriban and what truth will he be shown? The mission was now beginning to have a little personal touch to it but his main focus was to find and destroy this artefact first and foremost. But at the same time Korriban was forbidden for a reason and despite everything Jadek had heard about the planet, this was an opportunity to find out exactly why.

************
General Corvus was receiving a transmission onto his personal console in his quarters. It was Grand Admiral Oberen, Leader of the Empires Chosen. "Grand Admiral Oberen. We have begun excavation of the Sith Academy on Korriban. Soon we will also have a base of operations and with enough time we will have garrisoned this planet for ourselves. SO far there has been no opposition and the planet does indeed seem derelict" said Corvus.
"Excellent work General" Replied Oberen. "Once again you impress me with your haste and dedication. Someday you may even make Grand Admiral yourself."
"Thank you Grand Admiral. I will provide you with another update in due course". Said Corvus as one transmission ended and another one patched through.
"General, we have established a base of operations and have now begun excavations" relayed Tole.
"Good work Captain" said Corvus. The console powered down, "Someday i will be Grand Admiral. That day may be sooner than you think" Corvus said to himself.
