"SOPH! EVE! lunch is ready" Katie yelled, after Katie and Nate insisting that I stay till lunch, making me miss my work,

"We're here!" Sophie yelled sitting at the table

"Girls! you didn't wash your hands!" I said giving them a frown while crossing my hands

"Sorry" both of them whispered before running to the bathroom, they washed their hands then came back to the kitchen

"Where is daddy?" Sophie asked Katie

"Daddy just came back from work" Nate said appearing by the kitchen entrance

"DADDY!" Sophie ran to her dad as he hugged her, I looked at Eve and she was looking at Nate and Sophie

"Eve, Baby come here" Nate said as Eve smiled before running to him, he hugged both of them together

"did my princesses wash their hands?" He asked as both of them nodded

"good job girls, now let's go eat" he said releasing them from the hug

"Eve sit here, Soph" Nate said siting between both of them and I couldn't help but smile about how Nate would treat Eve just like the way he treats his daughter.

Katie put a hand on my shoulder before giving it a small squeeze, I looked at her and we both smiled

we served the food before everyone started eating

"who's turn it is?" Nate asked

"Mine!" Eve said as Sophie yelled "Eve's!"

"Ops guess I forgot" Nate said making the girls chuckle

"I have a great idea actually, how about we get ice cream later?" Katie said

"YES!" The 4 of us yelled

"I meant Soph and Eve not you Nate and Becca!" Katie said as we laughed

"But daddy and Auntie can come right?" Sophie asked

"Of course baby, anything you both want, now finish your food so we can get ivevream later" Katie said as we sat and ate our food

I stood up to wash my hands before the hou's door bell rang

"I'll get it" I said making my way to the door, I opened the door and my eyes met a familiar eyes making a wave of shock hit me

"How did you find this house?! Why are you here?" I said feeling all nervous again

"I'm not leavin-" Alex was stooped when Eve ran to the door

"Eve!" Katie yelled as both of them appeared by the door

"Eve, go inside" I said

"Hello Evelyn" Alex said "how are you?"

"Eve, Baby, can you go to soph to her room?" Nate said kneeling beside her but she shook her head

"I want to see Alex! He promised me he'd take us someday to buy gifts with all the kids who participated in the play" Evelyn said

"I'm still on my promise, I'm taking you guys soon" Alex said as he kept his gaze on her trying to figure out something "I'll just have to organize it with your teacher"

"Evelyn go inside" I said

"Eve baby lets go" Katie said

"Nope, I wanna seeee alexxx" she shook her head

"EVELYN JUST GO INSIDE" I yelled as a wave of shock hit her before her eyes filled with tears as she ran upstairs

"I'll talk to her" I said as I went to Sophie's room, I found Katie hugging eve as she sobbed

"you guys talk, I'll go" Katie said as she got out, we stayed silent for couple of minutes before she looked up and I kept my gaze on her

"I'm sorry" we both said at the same time

"Should we go home?" I asked her

"but auntie Tee said we'll go for ice cream" she said with a pout

"we could pass by an ice cream bus, while you could go with them in another time baby" I said as she nodded with a smile on her face
