"Katie, we're gonna go now" I said as we entered the living room

"what? Why? We're supposed to get ice cream!" Katie said with a pout

"Ice cream?" Sophie asked

"hey! I know you both are busy, I'll just pass by an ice cream bus and we could go together on the weekends, but you could send Sophie with us and I'll drop her off later" I said

"nope, I don't want you to go all that way and come back here, we'll go all together some other day, but will you be okay becs?" She asked

"Nate, Katie, you don't have to worry, I'll be okay, okay?, just don't worry, I know you guys want me to stay with you but we can't our house is there and I have work and school and everything" I said as they nodded

"you know if you need anything just ring me once and I'll be there" Nate said holding my hand

"I know nate and Im lucky to have you brother, thankyou guys so much" I said before saying goodbye to both of them and eve saying goodbye, we got out and walked till we found an ice cream shop we always went to

"Let's get ice cream for a take away, we can eat it while walking"I said as eve nodded before we entered the ice cream shop

"Hello, welcome to Joe's ice cream, what would you like have?" A girl behind the counter asked

"I'll have one scoop of Peanut butter and chocolate in a cup" a voice said from behind us stopping us before we turned to him and I widened my eyes

"Alex!" eve said happily

"what are you doing here?" I whispered yelled

"Evelyn, what would you like to eat?" Alex asked ignoring me

"I love Peanut butter and chocolate! It's my favorite!" she smiled

"Make that two" Alex said before he turned back to Evelyn "it's my favorite too, it's the most amazing thing ever"

"Becca-" Alex started before Eva cut him

"She likes cotton candy" Evelyn said

"Ew who likes cotton candy?" Alex whispered to Evelyn before they both starting laughing

"it's disgusting" Eve said as she put on a disgusted face

God I felt myself suffocating, they had so much in common and I hated it so much

"then 1 scoop of cotton candy ice cream" Alex said

"That'll be £10" the girl said before I took out the money and handed it to her before Alex pushed my hand and gave her a credit card

"I'm paying" i said but he shook his head

"Alex I don't need you paying for me! I'm paying for me and my daughter" I said

"I'm paying and count it as a treat for Evelyn's for getting number 1 in the play" he said

Alex kept insisting before he payed, i took my ice cream as Evelyn held hers

"We're going, thankyou for paying, bye" I said as I pulled Eve with me and we walked out but I knew he was following us

"what do you want Alex?" I said not looking back "please stop following me!"

"Going to my car" he said walking before he turned back to us and waved to Evelyn

"I'll see you at school Evelyn" he said as she gave him a thumbs up before he chuckled,

"Eve! What was that?! What did we talk about today?" I exclaimed

"I forgot" she said "sorry mommy"

"Eve I'm being serious! Stay away from him" I said before she nodded and started her ice cream

"Bus or walking?" She asked

"walking, plus the weather today is great" I said as she nodded before we walked and went back to our house, I never called this place home, because it wasn't home, I can hardly sleep at night, just to make sure Eve is safe

"Ma" Evelyn yelled running towards me with a big smile on her face

"Hey love, how was school?" I asked kissing her forehead

"we have a trip tomorrow!" she said excitedly

"Wow! A trip? Where to?" I asked
