When will the ocean cover me?
When will I be forgiven for my sins?
Punishment is only the answer of a crime
and I'm afraid I've never loved this way before,
I'm afraid I won't be at peace for a while now,
but I've learned my lesson,
I swear I have.
Show mercy and I shall never love again.
Show mercy and I shall never ask for anyone to soothe my burnt ground and ruined soul,
show mercy and I shall never come close to anything that looks bright and powerful,
any source of light that will warm me up.
Any pair of arms wrapped around me.
I never asked to go to heaven.
But I never deserved this hell.
