《Monsters (Pennywise X Reader)》Chapter 16

A few hours went by until she heard voices coming from one of the tunnels. She hid in another tunnel, hoping that she could see and hear what they were doing. She kept peeking from the rock she was behind, sometimes waiting more to appear again, afraid they would see her. The woman watched as they lit a fire inside a weird object and then began to chant something she couldn't understand even the cavern having so much echo.

Suddenly, the dimly lit place becomes as bright as the sun. The soulmate's four lights were coming down the ceiling, they rotated and swirled between one another. The woman became really afraid. What if the ritual actually worked? What if they were killed? What if... There were so many possibilities!

She saw the lights enter the box in the middle of the room, her eyes accompanying the black man closing it. However, a red rubbery thing started coming out from the box, getting bigger by the second, making the adults there get away from the crater, knowing that it would pop. (Y/n) too hid behind the wall, afraid of the noise and the outcome of the ritual.

The balloon popped, making her jump on her place, her ears hurting from the loud noise. She got up from her hiding place, looking at the group, asking herself if everything was fine. Then, she saw it hiding in the crater, bigger than she had ever seen it. The woman of the group (she remembered her name, Beverly) pointed her flashlight at it, screaming as she saw its face.

"Oh, did it work Mikey? Did it work?" it asked between the thorns of the crater, laughing wildly "Tell them why your silly little ritual didn't work." it moves around inside the place "Tell them it's all just a... What's the word, Eds? Gazebo." it jokes alone.

The woman couldn't hear the humans talking, they were too afraid to say anything too loud. But, she could hear it loud and clear, its words echoing around the place. She got out of her hiding place, getting closer to the crater, almost inside it with the clown, now bigger and with more hands.

"Oh, Mikey. You never told them the full story, did you?" it laughed again "Didn't want them to know what actually happened to the poor Shakapiwa."

"Fuck, Mikey! You lied to us again?!" Bill screams, shocked and angry at his friend.

"The-They didn't believe they could kill it, that's why it didn't work back then!" he screams while stuttering.

"Are you fucking kidding me, Mike?!" the man she recognized as Richie screams at the black guy.

While they bickered with one another, the box behind Pennywise liberated its three lights. They hit each other and caused lighting to flash around the ceiling. The group of friends tried covering their eyes.

"Pennywise!" (Y/n) screamed, loud enough for just the clown to hear.

It turned to her worried, asking itself why she was right there and not hiding.

"My light is still inside the box!" she says worried, getting closer to it.

"Don't worry. When I'm finished with them, we'll fix it." it says, gulping in fear. It was one of the few times she saw it be afraid.

She nodded and standed back, leaving the creature to do what it needed, but she didn't leave the crater, still worried about her Deadlight. She stayed in the middle of it, afraid that the group would try something against her.

"27 years I dreamt of you." it says, getting out of the crater, getting bigger and becoming a half insect as it showed its body to the group "I craved you. Oh! I missed you!" it laughs "Waiting... For... This very... Moment." it gets closer to Mike, his friends screaming at him to run "Time to float!" the clown's hands become a claw of some sort, resembling a crustacean.

The moment Pennywise was going to crush Mike, Bill jumped on him, dodging the blow. And so, they began the run around the crater, the clown laughing and the group screaming. (Y/n) was just watching it all unfold, tears in her eyes, not wanting any of the humans to die, but not wanting to be alone in the universe again. She crouched down, covering her ears from the horrible noises.

Soon, all the people were in their own nightmares. Fearing and fighting for their lives, while (Y/n) tried to argue with the monster, but it didn't seem to be going anywhere. They were interrupted by Mike appearing from behind a rock, getting Pennywise's attention. The woman could only scream at the guy.

"I know what you are." he begins "That's why I'm not afraid." he courageously stands in front of the creature.

It wraps a kind of tentacle around the man, bringing him up close to its face.

"I know what you are!" it messes with the guy's mind "A madman." it simply says, opening its mouth, preparing to take a big bite.

"Pennywise, no!" the woman tries, beginning to think that her efforts were in vain.

Suddenly, a rock flies at the clown's face, making it close its mouth and look at the attacker.

"Hey, fuck face!" Richie says, while the creature throws Mike at the wall "You wanna play truth or dare? Here's a truth! You're a sloppy bitch! Yeah! That's right! Let's dance!" it begins to get closer to the man "Yippee-ki-yay mutherfu-"

As he was saying, the clown channeled the Deadlights power, making the man roll his eyes to the back of his head and then, he began to float, his nose bleeding slowly, melting his brain slowly into madness.

"Pennywise, stop!" she screamed, running to one of his legs and pulling it, but it wouldn't even budge.

"Bip-Bip, motherfucker!" Richie screamed, throwing one piece of railing like a spear in the air, hoping to hit it.

The world seemed to stop for a second. The creature saw with its slanted eyes the spear passing next to its head, it couldn't care less where it would stop, but when it heard a gasp and a rumble on the ground, that was enough to get its attention. It didn't have a physical heart, but when it turned to look at its lover, it was pretty sure its heart skipped a beat.

The woman had the spear through her stomach, blood was coming out of her mouth and the wound. She gasped for air, her mouth hanging open, letting the blood out and pulling on her collarbone. The spear was stuck on the ground, keeping the woman at an angle of 45 degrees.

It turned to her desperately, its hands flying around her, not knowing what to do with her. It moaned in despair, a rumble in the place showed that the ceiling wasn't too stable.

The woman turned her head to it, a soft smile on her face. She extended her tired hand at it, and the creature grabbed the limb with its much bigger one. Tears were streaming down her face, she managed to brighten her smile, remembering a conversation they had.

As she was dreaming awake, it couldn't stop thinking that it was its fault, she was there because of it, her light was inside of the box because of it. She was going to die because of it. It suddenly felt her tighten her hand, grabbing its attention.

"You're worried." she says with difficulty.

"Don't bother y-your little head over it." it managed to say, a soft smile covering its features too.

"It'll be okay. You're going to be okay." it says, its face turning from the smile to a frown and then a thin line.

"It's not me you should be worried about." its head touched hers, tears now staining its face and dripping white ink on the ground.

She smiled again, closing her eyes softly, whispering her last words.

"I'll see you on the other side, Glamour." and then, nothing.

When she opened her eyes again, millions of stars swirled around her, the colourful universe surrounding her being. She looked around, feeling the peace the open space gave her. For a second she felt the weight of being infinite, able to know all, able to do all and able to be all.

She was okay, no humans, no body, no earth. But at some point she began to feel a very human emotion, sadness. And it soon became loneliness. She was alone, again.

She wasn't prepared for another round of looking for Glamour, but she wanted to, she couldn't be far from her other half. She wouldn't be infinite if she could.

However, she knew that it was coming. She knew from the start that its physical body would perish, she just hoped that it knew too.

A long time she waited, it could've been hours or eons, she couldn't tell, but it finally arrived. And she felt complete, they couldn't see each other, they were together, they were one being again.

"I was waiting, Glamour." she says, feeling her non existent heart beat when it begins to talk back.

"I'm sorry, Charm." its voice was calm and slow, pretty much like hers "No Derry.

"No humans." she continues.

"No hunger."

"No loneliness." and at that, they smile together.

Stuck forever watching the universe go by, feeling complete, happy and infinite in their own way.
