She noticed that she actually wasn't home, she felt the cozyness and the warmth, but it was all the clown. She was still holding its waist, gripping tightly. She could feel an air draft and it wasn't no longer dark, a few lights were shining not so far away, she could see them with the corner of her eyes. She slowly left its side, looking around the place to see where she was at. There were bleachers surrounding her and people were cheering at a baseball game that was happening at the time. She became confused, why would it want her here? She asked to be home, was it punishing her just from trying to gain information on its enemies? If that was the case, why a baseball game?

"Wh-why are we here?" the woman asks, still shaken up by the last few minutes.

"I want to show you something." it says, dragging her behind the bleachers, to a darker spot than before.

Where they were there was some light, but Pennywise seemed to blend with the shadow. She even had to get closer, as far as to touch his arm with hers to make sure that it was still there. She watched as a small firefly flew out of the darkness and to the front of the bleachers, slower than an old woman going up the stairs. She couldn't see the insect anymore, but some seconds later it came back, but with a little girl, no more than five years old, following it.

That image scared the woman, she knew what it was going to do, she could feel it tremble beside her, feeling her fear grow. However, there was some doubt that it would actually eat the child. (Y/n) looked in the direction where the thing should be, except it was too dark. She asked herself if she was as visible as him. And it seemed that she was, the kid didn't notice her as she got closer and closer. The little girl ran after the light, trying to get it in her hands, but it always flew faster when she got closer to catching it.

The woman wished so hard that it was just playing with the girl, wished that it would only talk to her and joke around, as a normal clown should do, and later on she wished that she wasn't even there to see what was coming.

"What are you gonna do?" she asked the darkness, feeling a pit forming inside her stomach.

The clown didn't respond, watching the kid get closer and closer, readying itself to lure its victim. It grabbed the firefly midair, making its white gloves appear in the light. The little girl was scared at first, jumping a little at the sudden movement coming from the dark. It pulled its hands back, opening his hands close to his face, using the light from the firefly to illuminate its face.

"Hello, Vicky." it says softly, smiling creepily at the child "Isn't that what your friends call you? Vicky? How did I know that? I guess I must be your friend too." it continues, sneakily trying to convince the kid, giggling at the end.

"If you're my friend, why are you hiding in the dark?" she asks, worried eyes travelling over the being in front of her, not being able to identify much.

Its smile falters, slowly turning to a frown.

"You're not my friend. You're scary." she shakes her head, turning her back at it, planning to go back to the boring game from before.

The clown hangs its head, making fake sobs and cries. Getting the attention from the little girl one more time. She turns to look at him, weary, but not as scared as before.

"What are you doing?" (Y/n) asks, looking at the both in front of her, she didn't like where this was going.

"Why are you crying?" the kid asks at the same time as the woman.

The thing looks up, now a more convincing face than it had before. It was compelling and if the woman hadn't known better she would've fell for it, she would've thought that it was just a bullied clown.

"People always make fun because of the way I look. I thought that if you couldn't see my face, you maybe would want to be my friend." it moans in sadness before continuing "Oh, silly old Pennywise. You'll never have no friend." it talks to itself, moving slowly backwards, faking a retreat.

"People make fun of me too." she says, it was clear the pain inside her eyes.

(Y/n) couldn't help but think about why kids had to go through so much sometimes.

"They do?" it asks innocently.

"Because of this." she points to her birthmark on her cheek. It wasn't anything big or too apparent, kids could be so mean.

"Oh, isn't that silly? That little thing?" it questions her, she nods her head sadly "Well, I can blow that thing right away!" it smiles at her.

"You could?" she smiles softly, hope filling her little heart and showing inside her eyes and on the faint glow on her cheeks.

"Oh ho, yes! One puff and it'd be gone!" it laughs, a little too maniacally to (Y/n) "Oh, you'd have to come close enough to see my face. I don't know, Vicky." it scowls, hiding its face against its shoulder.

"No, it's okay. I won't make fun of you, I promise!" the girl gets close to it, the eagerness making her do it faster.

The woman tries to get the girl, her goal was to prevent her from getting too close, but she couldn't move her legs. It felt like her feet were stuck like glue to the pavement, she tried again, this time after failing she looked at the clown. It gave her an evil smile, she could feel her heart stop at the moment. The thing looked back the girl

"Promise, promise?" it asks, saliva dripping from its mouth just by thinking of an easy and tasty meal.

The kid nods her head, smiling from ear to ear.

"Okie dokie! Just come on in a little closer and we'll blow it away at the count of three." it laughs, making her laugh too.

She turns his head to it, showing it the birthmark. (Y/n) tried again to move, still not able to do it. She felt tears coming to her eyes, it wasn't going to eat her, right?

"One." it said dragging the word, the woman kept looking between the two, still too shocked and afraid for the girl.

"Two." it dragged the word again, its eye coming slowly to the side, almost looking at the woman beside it.

She lost any hope that the kid would come out alive. She saw herself in the kid, the first time she saw it, she was so scared and so hopeless. But, at the moment, she was trying to get herself free, since she couldn't, she decided to do the next closest thing to stopping it, which was to get its attention.

"Pennywise!" she screamed at the top of her lungs, stopping the thing from saying three. It seemed to work for a few seconds. It continued to look at the little girl, not moving. Oh, how she wished that Vicky could hear her.

"You're supposed to say thr-" she was cut off, the clown bit her face with its needle like teeth and grabbed her neck to deepen the bite.

"No!" the woman screamed, it was guttural and raw, straight from her lungs, tears begun flowing from her eyes.

She wanted to run, to bury herself underground, anything but not be at the same place as this horrible scene. She was scared like never before, she thought that she could change its ways, make it harmless so that they could live peacefully and happily with each other, but it seemed that it was too egotistical to think of them as one being or something to be cherished.

It wanted to feed, to live hidden, to kill, for pleasure more than ever. It knew what she wanted and it wasn't planning to follow it. It had it all now, its hunger was gone, no need to hibernate and even had something it didn't ask for, love, which it didn't know what it was supposed to do with it. Now, it could eat the whole world uninterrupted, feasting on every creature and tasting every seasoning it offered.

The woman could only look at what the creature had done. Now she could see it for what it was, a monster. A soulless, emotionless and inconsiderate monster. She should've been less of a damsel in distress and more of a commander. She should've scared it to death or threatened it like she did some nights before. She was so stupid to think that it would change, that it would care for her feelings or her for that matter. She could've done something about the killings, she didn't know what, but she still felt guilty of those poor kids being eaten alive. She was just as heartless as it, she should've thought more about the killings happening behind her back.

(Y/n) closed her eyes, holding herself up with trembling legs. She felt something crawl on the sides of her face, it pressed against her cheeks and then forced her eyes open, pinching her brows and the bottom of her eyelids. She struggled against the strange force, not really seeing what was in front of her. However, when she finally did, she wished she had ripped her eyes from the socket herself.

It was looking directly at her, holding the girl by the head and thigh. She could see a big grin on its face, even when it took a bite from the corpse's side, the smile was there. She felt bile coming to her mouth, yet she held herself. She couldn't give it another reason to mock her. She clawed at the things on her face, her nails getting dangerously close to her own eyes as she tried to draw blood from it. Now she was angry, a cry of withdrawal and fury left her throat, letting the thing hold her face and make her watch it finish the meal.

At the end, it was smiling just as big as before, pieces of meat hanging from its mouth and blood dripping from its chin and onto the white clothing, staining it. She felt the things from the sides of her face leave slowly, however, she couldn't close her eyes. Her mouth was hanging open, a sense of defeat was emanating from her.

It laughed maniacally, it seemed like it was echoing in (Y/n)'s head, finally making her look up at it. She sighed, more tears flowing from her bloodshot eyes.

"W-why?" her voice came out rough, like she had been smoking for her whole life, at least her lungs felt just like she did.

"I wanted you to understand." it said, grabbing her chin gently, as if it hadn't eaten a human being right before.

"Now I do. You're a fucking monster!" she says through gritted teeth, saliva flowing from her mouth and onto the clown's face.

"That makes two of us." it smiles arrogantly, making the woman drop her façade.

Her eyes were as big as dinner plates, her mouth hanging open and shock was clear on her completion. She wasn't offended by its assumption, she was afraid that it was right.
