《Monsters (Pennywise X Reader)》Chapter 11

"So, where are we going?" (Y/n) asks, paying attention to the road ahead.
"There's a chinese restaurant, we're gonna meet them there." Mike says, turning on a street and parking in front of the restaurant.
It was pretty big, the woman hadn't seen it yet. She hadn't had the time to get out of the house after the clown had appeared in her life. They got out of the car and Mike talked to the woman in the front, she led them inside the building towards a large table, seven chairs were placed around it. She asked for another chair, since she thought that they had the number of clients right. She sat beside Mike, looking around the establishment.
"What are you gonna tell them?" she says, looking at her nails before picking up the menu.
"About what?" he turns to her, getting up to look at a fish tank that was beside the table.
"About me, you can't just straight up tell them about my story. Either they'll hate me or think you're crazy." she continues, looking through the pages and reading the contents of each dish.
"I'll figure it out. Knowing them, they'll probably want to befriend you. After that I can tell them." Mike says, he hears a sound behind them turning to see one of his friends walk in "Hey!"
The guy jumps slightly, Mike walks to him and hugs the guy pretty tight, the man reciprocates, they keep hugging for a few seconds before Mike lets go and starts talking non-stop.
"I didn't know if any of you guys would- After all this time. But of course you came!" Mike got in the man's face, intimidating him a little.
"An oath is an oath." he stops, looking distant for a second "We losers gotta stick together, right?"
"Losers? You remember that, right? That's good." Mike tries to enter the topic, but remembers the woman sitting behind him "Oh! That's right! This is (Y/n)." he turns to her, she gets up from the chair and extends her hand to the man.
"Hello, I'm (Y/n) (L/n). Nice to meet you." she smiles, trying to be as friendly as possible.
"Bill Denbrough, nice to meet you too." he grabs her hand, shaking it slightly and smiling a little too awkwardly for her taste.
"She's mine... Uh..." Mike begins to say, but doesn't know how to introduce her as.
"I'm his girlfriend." she gets closer to the man and holds his hand, trying to sell the lie "He's a little shy about it."
When Bill was about to make a comment the two men heard a familiar voice entering the restaurant. Another man got in, smaller than Bill, but seemed younger. He was talking to the waiter about his allergies it seemed.
"If I eat a cashew I could-" he stopped as he looked at the two men "Realistically die."
Bill and Mike smile at him.
"Holy shit." he walked to the two and hugged them both at the same time.
They greeted each other, asking about life and work.
"You married Mike?" the new guy asks, (Y/n) laughs just by the thought of Mike trying to explain himself.
"Uh... Yes! Wait- No." he says, scratching his neck embarrassed.
The woman gets out from behind him, smiles and waves at the new person.
"Hi, I'm (Y/n) (L/n), Mike's girlfriend. Nice to meet you." she extends her hand, just like she did with Bill.

And just like Bill he accepts the hand, but his face was not exactly one of sympathy, more like a surprised one.
"Nice to meet you too. I'm Eddie Kaspbrak." he smiles a little before turning to Mike "I can't actually believe you got a girlfriend, you were just as shy as Ben!"
"He charmed his way into my heart, I guess." she says, bumping her elbow on him, as if saying to go with the lie.
Suddenly a loud noise was heard, the chinese gon was rang. They turned quickly, surprised to see the two tall men and a tall woman standing by the table.
"The losers club has officially begun." the one with glasses says.
"Ha! Look at these guys." Eddie jokes.
The six keep awkwardly staring at each other, before all of them talk over one another. (Y/n) can understand, being away for so long is painful and reuniting is always a big event. She kind of left out, she wasn't friends with any of them, and wasn't planning to be. They kept talking about their perfect little lives and their past selves that used to live here. She kept asking herself how long this torture would last. She never had friends to know what this feeling was like, but if she had, she wished they would be these guys, making jokes about each other, laughing together, hurting together. Still, she prefered to be alone, she was doing well before the clown, but now just being away from it made her uneasy and tired.
She was feeling very hungry ever since Pennywise left her that day, she knew eating wasn't going to help, but she continuously stuffed her face with the food that was being served. They were already asking for the bill, the waiter brought some fortune cookies for them while the cashier was printing it. (Y/n) was the first one to grab a cookie, but no one seemed to notice. She started eating it, but didn't read the message, she just held the paper on her hands, her attention now on one of the losers.
"I mean, it's weird, right?" Ben started, she had to remember all those names so she could pass the information to the clown "Now that we're all here, everything just comes faster and faster. I mean all of it."
"When Mike called me I threw up. Weird, like I got nervous. I got, like, sick and I threw up." Richie says "I feel fine now. I feel very relieved to be here with you guys." he notices that they are looking at him "Why are you all looking at me?"
"When Mike called me I crashed my car." Eddie says.
"Seriously?" Bill asks worried.
"Yeah."
"Man, I hear you. My heart was literally pounding right out of my chest." Ben says, making a motion with his hand.
"I thought it was only me." Beverly says.
"It was like pure f-f-f-" Bill tries to say, but keeps stuttering, Mike completes the phrase for him.
"Fear." all participants of the group feel a cold shiver run down their spines "It's fear. What you felt."
"Why did we all f-feel like that, Mike?" Bill asks "You remember something we don't right, Mike."
"Something happens to you when you leave this town. The farther away, the easier it gets. But me, I never left. So, yeah, I remember. I remember all of it." Mike tells them, their faces turning fast to one of fear and remembrance.

"Pennywise." Beverly whispers loud enough for all on the table to hear.
"Oh, the fucking clown." Eddie gets to his bag to grab his inhaler.
"Mike you said you wanted help with something, what was that?" Bill asks, now turning angry at his friend.
"There's an echo here in Derry that bounces back every twenty seven years." Mike begins, but Eddie stops him.
"What are you talking about?"
"Hold on, listen, listen. We- We thought we stopped it back then. We thought it was done." Mike grabs a book of his, full of information on the cases that Pennywise was clearly involved in "A man, a week ago, Adrian Mellon slaughtered. A girl Lisa Aubric went missing. There already have been others and there will be more." he tries to continue, but they all speak over each other, not wanting to hear anything of it or be a part of whatever Mike is planning.
"Let him explain." Ben says, interrupting them all.
"The echo, we might've changed it, just like it changed us, but we didn't stop it, because it just bounces back. We made an oath. That's why I brought you back. That's why you're here. To finish it. For good." as he said that (Y/n) felt her blood run cold, she couldn't let them reunite and beat it again, she knew that this time it wouldn't be just early hibernation, it would be death.
"That shit got dark fast. Thanks, Mike." Richie says, trying to cut the uneasy feeling all of them were getting.
They all begin to eat the fortune cookies and unravel the paper inside. (Y/n) notices that hers was still on her hands, she decides to read it already. She stops dead in her tracks. She refuses to make a sudden movement to alert them that she was, in fact, still there and puts the paper in between her legs without them knowing that she even pulled a cookie from the pile.
"My fortune cookie just says 'could'." Eddie turns the message to the group, laughing at the same time that he seemed pissed.
"I don't know if they do the cookies here, but mine says 'guess'." now it was Richie's turn to be weirded out.
"You wanna throw that over here?" Bill says, looking at his own fortune and asking for the other persons sitting on the table.
Mike gave him a 'it' and Ben gave him a 'cut'. They began screaming what the answer would be, what it could mean and that Mike was probably pranking them. (Y/n) knew the truth, but she herself couldn't say it, they would immediately put the blame on her, what was she doing there anyway? That had been the stupidest idea she ever had in her whole life.
At the corner of her eye she could see Beverly holding her paper, a single tear escaping her eye as Bill asks for her paper too. She slowly puts it on the table, making everyone more scared at what it was written on the paper. They finally completed the phrase.
'Guess Stanley could not cut it.'
"Why does it say Stanley?" Eddie asks, getting angry by the minute "Someone else fucking answer me!" he looks around his friends, finally setting his eyes for the second time on the new addition "Do you have a fucking paper too?" he asks her, giving her this intense angry glare.
She was going to say no, but her scared eyes told them otherwise. Mike was feeling kind of guilty, he brought her here, she should be responsible and say what she actually has to do with It, but he can't bring his mouth to say it. At the beginning he was afraid of her, but now he was afraid for her.
She slowly put the paper on the table, at a similar fashion to Beverly. Eddie snatched the paper and read it out loud.
"'Give her back'?" he wasn't expecting that at all "What's that supposed to mean?" he looks at her, shaking the paper in his hand.
"I have to go." she says, grabbing her bag and getting up from the chair, but when she passed next to Eddie he grabbed her wrist, pulling her back next to the table.
"You won't be going anywhere until we discover what this means!" he screams at her.
Suddenly the table began to shake, causing the group to leave anything they were doing behind and pay attention to what was in front of them. The fortune cookies began to shake and break, revealing stuff from nightmares inside.
(Y/n) knew this was her chance, that could only be Pennywise messing with them. She ran for the entrance, but she didn't stop there, she ran to the forest beside the restaurant. She continued to do so until she was far enough to not hear the sound of cars. Then, she stopped and sat on the ground, breathing heavily and crying out loud.
She didn't know how to endure pressure, she was sure they would kill her if they knew what she really was. She felt fear with Pennywise, but with them it was different, it was if they were openly telling her what they would do with her lover and she couldn't do anything about it. It was an awful feeling and she wished she hadn't decided to go with Mike.
She grabbed her phone from her bag and began to stand up, wanting to call a cab as soon as she got out of the forest, but a hand on her shoulder stopped her from getting up from the ground. She stopped dead on her tracks, thinking it was one of the group, but a faint smell of blood and cotton candy calmed her more than she wanted to.
"You shouldn't have done that." it says, clenching its hand over her shoulder, making her whimper from the slight pain.
But she couldn't care less, she felt relieved, her hunger was gone, she no longer felt tired and the person she was worried about was fine and, the best part, was here with her, protecting her if she had been in any danger. She turned fast towards the clown, embracing it by the waist, holding tight, not wanting to let go ever again. She could hear its Deadlights inside, they were moving fast, but getting less agitated slowly. She rubbed her face against its clothes, drying her tears in it and mumbling while pressing her face in its chest.
"Take me home." she simply says, feeling a push at her heart and the feeling of coziness and warmth overtaking the cold of the forest.
