《Theirs》Chapter 20

...
The big door in front of us opened and a big crowd welcomed us with loud cheers and whistles. I froze in place.
Oh my God... There's hundreds of them.
"Don't worry. We're right next to you." Draco whispered in my ear.
I hesitantly nodded my head and they slowly guided me inside the big and very gorgeous ballroom.

----------------------------------------------------
As we were walking through the crowd, some of them greeted us excitedly. Tharion and Draco guided me to the small stage which was in front of the crowd. As we started to climb the stairs, my nerves started to act up and I suddenly felt anxious.
"Relax love. Everything will be alright." Tharion whispered to me.
And those words were enough to wipe out all the worry which creeped inside of me just seconds ago. My heart fluttered, making me smile at him like a kid during holidays.
"Good afternoon everyone." Draco's booming voice echoed throughout the ballroom, making everyone go quiet. "Thank you all for coming. I see curiosity got the better of you." He joked and the crowd laughed saying a few words of confirmation.
"We won't keep anyone in suspense anymore, so let us introduce you to the person you're curious about." Tharion continued their speech.
Then they took both of my hands and gently pulled me in front of them.
"This is Katherine Zale. Our mate and a new addition to our horde." Draco said proudly.
"And just like Lyla, she's a human. So be gentle with her." Tharion added with a smile.
The crowd roared excitedly and immediately started to greet me. I blushed madly because of all the attention, but I still greeted them back.
I never knew so many people could get excited by just hearing my name.

"Now, unfortunately, our introduction ends here since we came with our company's employees for a camping trip. If we don't go back to them, they'll start to worry about us." Tharion said and everyone groaned in protest.
"Don't worry. We'll bring Katie back here soon." Draco added with a grin.
Although I could see their disappointment, they still smiled and nodded.
"That would be all. You may go back to your duties." Tharion said and in a few minutes, the ballroom was empty.
"Why were they against us leaving?" I asked.
"Well, you are our queen-to-be, so obviously everyone wanted to spend some time with you." Kayda said with a grin.
"Queen-to-be?!" I yelled in surprise.
And then I realized that's not weird or surprising at all. Tharion and Draco are kings. I'm their mate, so that makes me a queen. I think.
Oh fuck! Oh shit! They expect me to be a queen?! How am I supposed to do that?! Especially since 99.99% of them are dragons! How is someone supposed to guide hundreds of dragons?!
"Let's leave that conversation for some other time. We have to go now." Tharion said and wrapped his arm around my waist, silently comforting me.
I think he noticed my panicking expression. I gave him a nervous smile in return. Everyone nodded at Tharion's words and then we exited the ballroom.
...
We went back to their room and got changed into a fresh set of normal clothes. I quickly removed my makeup and put my hair in a ponytail.
"As much as we love seeing you in human clothes, I think ours suit you better." Draco said with a grin.
I just shrugged my shoulders.
It's just clothes.
We walked downstairs and Lyla and Blaze were already waiting for us.

"Let's go people. We're supposed to leave in two hours." Lyla said and marched out of the room.
We were right behind her.
...
When we were getting closer to the big brown double door, I saw Kayda standing in front of it. Once we were close enough, she engulfed me in a tight hug.
"You better come again soon." She jokingly threatened.
"I will." I replied with a grin.
She bid goodbye to the rest of us and then Blaze opened the double door. We slowly walked out and the sound of birds chirping welcomed us. I turned around and waved at Kayda one last time.
"Have a safe trip!" She yelled excitedly.
I chuckled a little and thanked her. The door closed and we headed back to the camping spot.
...
After some time, we were back and were now slowly packing our stuff.
"Is everyone finished?" Draco asked after a few minutes.
Everyone said 'yes' and we slowly entered the bus. I pushed Lyla to sit next to Blaze, because I knew she'd come and sit with me. I didn't want to deprive Blaze from his mate, since I now know what it means to have one. Tharion and Draco again sat in front of me.
"Want to sit with us?" Draco asked cheekily.
"I don't know if you can see, but there's not enough space." I said and got myself comfortable.
"Well, you can always sit on our laps." He said playfully.
I chocked on air and snapped my eyes to him.
"Not fucking happening!" I whisper-yelled immediately.
"I told you she wouldn't agree." Tharion said with a sigh.
"It was worth a try." Draco said with a chuckle and turned around.
I glared at their seats while a blush slowly appeared on my face.
Jerks.
...
After long and agonizing traveling, me and Lyla were finally in front of our apartment.
"Home sweet home." She said and opened the door of our apartment.
We walked in and the boys were right behind us.
"Oh no you don't. Out." Lyla said when she saw them entering.
"But-" Draco started but she interrupted him.
"Out. I want to talk to Kate." She said sternly. "Alone." She added.
Tharion and Draco tried to persuade her to let them stay, but Lyla wasn't budging. Me and Blaze were standing to the side and watching their argument in amusement.
Where's popcorn when you need it.
"Out!" She yelled a little and pushed them through the door.
Then she grabbed Blaze and pushed him out too.
"Bye baby." She said, kissed him on the lips and then slammed the door in his face.
I couldn't hold it in any more and I burst out laughing. Lyla glared at me, but I didn't stop.
"Stop it. And come here. I want to tell you something." She said and walked into our living room.
I went after her, still laughing like a madman.
