...
After agonizing thirty minutes, Lyla finally finished 'beautifying' me.
"Take a look." She said giddily and turned me around.
I looked at my reflection in the mirror and a smile slowly stretched across my face.
I look so different... But a good kind of different...
She did a light black and gold makeup to match my dress and curled my hair in soft curls. She gave me two matching golden bracelets and I put them on my wrists. Then I looked at Lyla in confusion.
"They're too big for my wrists." I said and showed it to her.
"Not there." She said with a chuckle and moved them above my elbows. "There." She grinned proudly.

I mimicked her grin and looked at myself one more time. While Lyla was doing my makeup, I took the time and thought about everything that happened in the last twenty-four hours.
I was slowly accepting this mate thing I suddenly got involved in and my mind was becoming more calm. I wasn't freaking out anymore, but I was still hesitant a bit. I mean, you can't just expect me to be all lovey-dovey with my bosses who I barely know outside of work. Okay, scratch that. I know nothing personal about them, but I feel like Tharion and Draco will change that very quickly.
They better. I'm not doing this on my own.
"I think it's time we go to them. Don't you think?" Lyla said cheerfully.
"But what about my heels?" I asked and pointed to a pair of golden heels near the stand my dress was on.
"I don't know if you've noticed, but dragons walk around the lair barefoot. Some kind of tradition or something. I don't know. So we have to be barefoot too." She explained. "I think the personnel were just being polite and respecting you as a human. If I remember correctly, they did the same thing with me." She added happily and went to the stairs.

I looked at her feet in confusion and sure enough, she was barefoot. I reluctantly nodded my head and went after her. She skipped happily down the stairs and then threw herself into Blaze's arms. I was at the middle of the stairs when my eyes met Tharion's and Draco's.
Even though I already saw what they were wearing earlier, my breath was still caught in my throat. Especially because now they had this glint in their eyes as they looked me up and down a few times.
Forcing myself to keep my cool and not get jelly legs, I slowly descended the stairs and walked in front of them. Their mouths were slightly opened and they couldn't stop looking me up and down.
I willed myself to not get shy and be more confident with them.
They're your mates now for crying out loud. You can't be shy forever.
Draco gently took my right hand in his and slowly twirled me. Then Tharion took my left hand and they both gently kissed the back of my hands. My heart was ready to burst already.
"You look stunning, love." They said at the same time with the biggest grins I've ever seen on their faces.
My heart went wild.
Yup. I'm definitely going to develop a heart disease by the end of this day.
"Th-thank you. You're very handsome yourselves." I said shyly and mimicked their grinning faces.
"Look at that. You didn't talk like someone's chasing you." Blaze teased from behind.
I glared at him for a second and then returned my gaze to my mates. Draco was jumping in place giddily, trying hard not to squish my face out of happiness, and Tharion was silently admiring me and gently caressing my left hand which he didn't let go ever since he took it in his.

Draco was about to say something, but the door of their room swung open and slammed loudly against the wall. Then a female version of Tharion and Draco walked in.
"Where is she?!" She roared as she marched in furiously and I couldn't help but to admire her.
Aside from having Tharion's and Draco's face, she also had a perfect model like body. And the long, golden mermaid dress fit her so well, it could put any professional model to shame.
"Calm down Kayda. She's right here." Blaze said with a sigh.
So her name is Kayda. And judging from her appearance, I'd say she's their sister.
Kayda's eyes snapped to me and in the next second I was almost tackled down.
"Kayda!" Tharion and Draco yelled in panic.
"Finally! You have no idea how long I've waited for you!" She squealed excitedly and squeezed the life out of me.
"Too... tight..." I barely managed to say.
"Okay, that's enough. You'll choke her." Lyla said and somehow peeled Kayda away from me.
I immediately took a few deep breaths. Draco hugged me gently and slowly rubbed my back.
"You almost killed our mate." Tharion growled at her.
"Don't you dare give me that attitude. How could you not tell me you found your mate? Were you planning on depriving me of my sister-in-law no.2?" Kayda said fiercely and crossed her arms.
Sister-in-law no.2?
"Calm down Kayda. They literally found out yesterday." Blaze said in a bored manner.
"You shut up. You were way worse than them." She snapped at him.
This girl is on fire.
I tapped Draco's hand and nodded my head as a sign that I'm okay. He reluctantly nodded and slowly let go of me. Not a second passed and Tharion replaced him. I groaned, but then giggled.
"I'm fine. No need to worry. Now let me meet your sister properly." I said with a smile.
Tharion grumbled something and begrudgingly let me go. I chuckled at that and then faced Kayda. She again squealed and pulled me in a hug. But this time she did it more gently.
"It's so nice to meet you! I'm Kayda! The youngest Lombardi." She said excitedly.
"I'm Katherine. But you can call me Kate." I replied with a chuckle.
She squealed again and started jumping a little.
"I love her already." She exclaimed giddily.
Then she pulled away and looked me up and down with a raised eyebrow.
"What?" I asked in confusion.
"You're missing just one thing." She mumbled to herself.
Then she took off the headpiece she was wearing and placed it on my head.
"There. Now you're ready to meet the rest of the horde." She said with a big smile.
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
I turned to look at Tharion and Draco and they were already sporting big grins on their faces.
"Let's go!" Kayda said excitedly and exited the room.
Tharion and Draco placed their hands on my back and slowly guided me out. Lyla and Blaze were right behind us.
