《Hymns of my Heart [collection of my poems]》MAMA

Mother, you gave life to me now I want to serve thee.

When I was just a baby, for you it was hard to wipe my pee.

Everyday, you wash my face in the morning,

And feed me my milk in the evening.

You fetched me during my schooling

But now look I can be on my own riding.

Every time I hurt my knee and you cure,

But now I grew they gave me punches and force to endure.

You use to teach me in my elementary math,

But see I could calculate my own stats.

Mama, see what I have now in high school,

I have my good friends that are so cool.

Though I cannot see what are their bad sides,

You teach me the good from bad and you that abides.

Smoke, liquor, drugs, and babes are bad, you say.

And I kept them in heart and never want to destroy my future days.

When I was a kid and you sometimes spank me,

But look I am now responsible that I could be.

And the last time I badly sing in the microphone,

Hear my voice it is in the right tone.

Ma, say now what do you like for me to do,

It is the now the right time for me to serve you.

Think of any odds and will make them hear,

After which I will make those things clear.

Do you want an asparagus soup to be cook?

Or prefer to listen to an old childhood story from the photo book?

Now see the different sky's light

And reminisce our days that were so bright.

Finally then, sleep on my nap and just close your eyes

Be happy now and forget about the yesterday's cries.
