Few days later

"Don't move" the photographer told her. Sadie was sitting criss cross on the studio floor with a nude floral embroidery mesh bra and underwear set.

Wearing her natural hair, her curls forming a miniature Afro. Fake pink and white butterflies were clamped to her hair to make the shoot go from basic to top notch. She was shooting for a black owned company that specify in making hair products for black women. It was an offer she couldn't deny and none of it had to do with money. She liked the idea and the backstory on how they became the number one product listed in America last year. Her head was propped up on another model's shoulder both wearing the same lingerie set as well as the identical butterflies in their hair. "Don't forget to smile with your eyes" he shouted before stepping back, raising the camera up to his eye as he began to snap away.

Sadie blocked all contact with Jodie. Starting with her number as well as her Instagram even though, they both weren't following each other. She was over it and she wasn't about to kiss any ones ass especially not hers. The vendetta she had with her was only Jodie fighting her own demons. "Do you mind cuddling each-other" he asked, while holding his finger up to direct them, Sadie and the girl looked at each-other and eventually did what was told. Her arms wrapped around Sadie's lower half as well as Sadie's arms around hers.

Giving straight face, tilting her head slightly. He looked satisfied as he smiled. They've only been shooting for an hour now and this was just the first outfit. Even through it all, Sadie had a clear mind—it's been a minute since she did a shoot and to be honest she couldn't be more happier to get back to working. It was the only thing that could keep her mind at ease and not have her searching her thoughts instead. "And that's it" he shouted, handing his camera off to the man standing next to him as he walked towards them.

Brian Maxwell, the person who was known for taking those nude pictures of Paris Hilton for the cover of Playboy Magazine. Everyone weren't so much talking about Paris but more so him. How he was able to capture her sexy side but still making her look desirable. He had to be about 5'6, caramel brown skin which only allowed his freckles and hazel eyes overpower everything. Sadie remembered the first time she met him. It was while walking for Victoria Secret a year ago, he didn't know that she liked women and tried to offer her dinner that she later declined. He wasn't like most, he kept it professional and since then acted as if none of that happened.

"Never seem to amaze me Sadie" he said holding out his hands to help not only her but the other model up. "You as well Sasha" he looked over

This was Sadie's first time shooting with Sasha but she wasn't an unfamiliar face. The two followed each other on Instagram and would causally like each-other pictures. It was nothing more than an internet friend. Sasha was Haitian, much taller than anyone Sadie every modeled with. Standing at 6'0, her long stallion legs were covered in her golden chocolate skin. Even without the light, Sadie was still amazed at how she was able to keep her glow.

"Can I please grab some food" she said, holding on to her stomach. Sadie much agreed with her, the shoot started at seven in the morning and they didn't start shooting until eleven.

Brian laughed, releasing the two hands as he motioned for her to go. Sasha smiled as she rushed off, "So what about you?"

"What about me?" She said,

"Wanna go get food"

Sadie raised her brow, slightly tilting her head trying to figure out his motive. "You know I'm gay right? Which means I like women"

A small laugh escaped his lips, "I'm not trying to get with you girl" he stated waving her off as he stepped back a little, "just wanted to get food"

As much as she wanted to second guess on it, she was starving and with her rushing out the house this morning she didn't even think to grab herself a quick snack.

"I'll meet you outside" she said as he just nodded and walked off. She headed towards the dressing room where she went to slip back on the joggers and oversized shirt she came in there with. Staring at her reflection in the mirror, she went to unclamping each butterfly out her hair as she neatly placed them on the table. Her face still covered in makeup, she didn't bother to remove it—they still had one more set to do. Passing by the makeup artist and other people on set, she made her way to the glass door, only to see Brian standing by his white BMW.

Nose deep into the phone he didn't even notice her walking towards him. Clearing her throat to somewhat get his attention, he finally looked up. "You not gone fix your hair" he scrunched up his face, leaning forward to pick at Sadie's Afro. She swatted his hand only making him jump back and then followed behind was a laugh.

"I'm just playing" he said, chirping the car as he held the passenger door open for her. She rolled her eyes, wondering why she even agreed on lunch. When the door closed he hurried over to the drivers side, wasting no time starting it up and pulling off.

"What you have a taste for?" He asked, his eyes still focused on the road.

"I don't know I'm feeling like a sub sandwich or something"

He nodded as he continued driving down the street, "we probably will have to do take out"

"That's fine" she said back, her phone vibrating in her hand. It was an "Unknown caller" so she didn't bother to answer—it probably was somebody trying to scam or just happened to have the wrong number.

He drove about three more blocks to the closest sub place. Turning off the ignition he pushed the door opened, stepping out fully he bent down to see Sadie was still sitting there, "Want me to just get you something?"

"Please do" she laughed, the same number calling her back to back.

"Aight now don't be complaining about what I like on my sandwich" he told her, slamming the car door as he made his way inside.

Instead of answering she decided to text the person just to make sure this wasn't someone she knew who happened to be using a different phone. Almost immediately the person kept calling ignoring what she just texted. She sighed, noticing that they've changed from a regular call to FaceTime. She placed her thumb on the camera as she slid the green button over to answer. Almost instantly, Jodie face was presented. She was in the car and it looked as if the phone was placed on her lap. "I was going to keep calling until you answered" she said not having a smile or smirk on her face, "so you blocked me?" She said again

Sadie's thumb still blocking the camera, she regretted her decision on answering it. If she would've known it was Jodie she would've let it keep ringing. "What do you want" she said

"For you to move your thumb and talk to me"

"I can hear you, you don't have to see me"

The phone shifted a bit and Jodie was now holding it up, by the way the scenery was changing fast in the background she knew she had to be on the highway, "look I don't even care, I just want to say I'm sorry for the way I acted at the premiere and the party. I don't know what got into me"

She knew exactly what it was and so did Sadie. It was the thought of her being with another girl and whether she wanted to come clean about it—Sadie knew, "I had time to really think about the situation and it was all completely my fault. So that's why I'm calling—" she started to say as she laid the phone back in her lap, "Can we go get drinks or something and forget what happened?"

"I'm working right now" which was the truth even if she was on break.

"Jodie nodded her head, "Okay that's cool but what about after? I rather say I'm sorry in person, it means so much more when people do"

Knowing that she couldn't tell her no, Sadie literally wanted to smash the phone into her head. She hated how quickly she was able to forgive and forget when it came to her. Her mind was made up just a few minutes ago and now here she was second guessing herself. "Sadie?" Jodie mumbled, "Do you forgive me?"

She sighed, as she rolled her eyes. Her thumb never left the camera and if it did, Jodie would see how much she had her defeated. Her eyes looking up to see Brian coming out the building with a bag and two drinks. "Yes, or no?" Jodie said once again

"Yes" she said under a whispered but Jodie for sure heard. Her smile spread so wide you could almost see all thirty-two of her teeth.

"I really mean it, I'm sorry Sadie" she told her, never letting that smile leave her face. Brian opened the car door and Sadie didn't even say her goodbyes before she ended the call. It was just that easy—she got her back that fast without even putting any effort. Brian getting situated, he placed the drinks in the cup holders as he slammed the door once he was fully in.

"I got you what I usually get" he told her, searching through the bag and pulling one sub out first—handing it off to her. And as much as she wanted to eat, she couldn't—she didn't even have the right state of mind. "Do you forgive me?" She remembered the words she said.

Why wouldn't she, Jodie meant the absolute world to her.
