"Why do you always listen to music?" The girl looked up from her book. The story about the lifes of others forgotten, with only one sentence. A question.

"Because it's the only thing that can't betray me." She answered, truthfully. Maybe her friends would feel offended, thinking they'd never betray her. But that was far from the truth. She had found herself crying about them, more than once.

"I would never betray you!" The voice of her friend spoke. The girl didn't know why, but she couldn't tell her that she actually did. Tears stung in her eyes by now.

"Never is a big word." Was all she said, before getting back to her book. She didn't want to hear it right now so she pulled out her phone, playing the music that made her happy.

The happiness didn't last long as her friend pulled the ears out. "No! I'm tired of your bullshit! You are literally the worst friend ever! I you!"

Tears stung in her eyes again as she muttered a small 'I'm sorry', before walking away. Away from betrayal and the yelling. Away from getting hurt. Away with the music that made her happy. Or actually made her just forget.

"Yea walk away! Like you always do! Why won't you ever fucking talk to me?!?" Her friend shouted after her. She just ignored it. Although she knew the answer, she just couldn't say it; because I'm not worth it...
