She looked up, her hands around his waist. "Smile!" She smiled ones and thanked him, her idol. It may seem like a silly celebrity crush on the outside, but in real life it was a little bit of hope.
The only little bit of hope in her heart. Everything seemed so far gone, this was the only thing that made her believe. Believe that she could make others happy.
She smiled once again as another photo was made. "What's your name?" He asked, his voice just as soft as in the songs she fell asleep with, preventing her from crying.
She told him her name, not knowing why he would want to know it. Maybe because she was a fan and he 'loved' his fans. She thought it was bullshit, but she wanted to believe it so she did.
Smiling she walked away from the meet and greet. He knew her name. She knew he was real. She couldn't give up now, she just had to see him once again. After that she could die, but for now she wanted to see his face one more time.
She knew her friends thought she was crazy for being his fan. 'He would never notice you.' Or 'when are you gonna get over your stupid celebrity crush, he's weird!' Would come out of their mouths.
Her family didn't help either, thinking the boy was stupid as well. Actually her Internet best friend was the only one who liked him.
The words of them hurt her. It felt like it didn't matter what she liked, she had to like the same thing as other people. It felt like everyone was doubting her decisions.
It also hurt because she liked him, he was the one who she looked up to. And hearing from everyone that he wasn't good enough, made her cry.

It made her cry because they didn't know the times she just watched his videos, because she was sad. The times where his soft voice would calm her down, not anyone else's. The times where she could be herself, knowing he couldn't judge her. He made her feel safe in some way.
Sighting she walked back to her moms car. Back to where everyone would call him stupid. Back to where words mattered.

Ok so my friend had something similar to this, please do not insult someone's idol. It could be why they're still here , if you don't like them that doesn't mean she/ he can't. He/she probably has a reason for liking this person and it can really break someone to hear that the one they look up to are not good enough, stupid or weird. These people are all amazing, no matter what, they make people happy. Don't insult them cause it'll not only hurt them, but also their fans!
