"Wait well I want to join too!" Pansy leaped from her bed.
"Haha really?" I looked around to her whilst brushing my hair.
"Yes! I don't want to miss out on their faces when you catch them. " Pansy was smiling from ear to ear. "Are you sure you want to do this? What about when Harry finds out?"
I tried my best not to think about that after my rather impulsive decision. I didn't really know what I would do when Harry found out, I knew that he wouldn't want anything to do with me anymore but I didn't know if I actually wanted anything to do with him. Clearly he didn't care for our friendship and his allegiance to hating Slytherin came first above everything.
"Well I don't care. I'm not wasting my time on people that don't give a shit about me" I snapped
"Well, well where has this temper been hiding all along. Maybe you are a Slytherin after all haha!" She laughed and so did I but I knew there was a lot of truth in her words. Even though how I was acting was so unlike me, unlike how my father had influenced me to grow up there was something invigorating about my current attitude. I felt powerful and strong...I felt like my mother.
"Have you seen Dumbledore much recently?" Pansy spoke as she opened up her books. Oh my goodness Dumbledore! I hadn't even thought about him! After she said it I began thinking when actually was the last time I saw him.
"Now you mention it, no?" I put my brush down and hopped onto my bed. "I can't remember when I last saw him."
"I think Umbridge is running him out of Hogwarts. Might not be a bad thing the guy is so annoying." I cringed at her words, Dumbledore had been nothing but good to me.

"I think he's great" I said quietly.
"Mmm well each to their own" she rolled her eyes and buried her head into a book. "Oh I forgot to say Daphne mentioned about us all having a little 'party' tomorrow. Apparently Blaise snuck some drink in."
I questioned Blaise's intentions of this, I don't think he was the type of person just to do something to be nice. His creepy ways made me suspect there was a hidden agenda and it was probably best I didn't attend.
"I think I'll skip that, I'm not one for drinking. Well actually I've never drank. Well I did have some wine one Christmas but it was watered down."
"What! Ok no you have to! It's part of being a teenager! You have to experience it! Don't make me beg." Pansy pouted her lip.
"Urgh I don't know.."
"Draco will be there..." I looked up to see her smirking.
If I say yes now it's going to look like I'm going for Draco! Now I knew my answer! "Urgh definitely not them!" I rolled my eyes and grabbed a book.
"Hmm yeah whatever. Fine but you're missing out!" She tucked herself into bed and turned on her reading light.
I walked over to the main light switch and turned it off, I put my own reading light on and began reading. Even though I would love to have a little extra confindence around Draco I had I feeling I would go the other way and up a mess. I had been lucky enough to see my sister on the many times she'd wandered in after too much alcohol and she never came across confident and sexy more disastrous and imbalanced.
Time to get some sleep, I knocked off my light and tried a night without him coming into my dreams.

The school day went by as every other day. I saw Harry but he looked in the other direction avoiding me completely. This only reassured me more that the decision I had made was final and I wouldn't be going back on my word.
I trailed my way back to my bedroom after being in the library for a couple hours working on some potions work we'd been set. I threw my bag onto my bed and sank myself into the mattress.
"Come on, Hurry and get ready we are meeting everyone in the common room in 10 minutes!" Pansy span around to me whilst doing her makeup in the mirror.
"Pansy I've already told you I'm not going!"
I watched as Pansy turned her full body around, she crossed her arms and began walking closer to me. "Look, we both know you're going to go because let's be honest Draco is there and as much as you don't want to admit it and you want to live on fantasy island where you're never going to bother with him again it's not going to happen! You couldn't bare being sat here knowing we were out there, knowing he would be talking to people...or what would happen if someone suggested a game like..I don't know maybe spin the bottle?"
"OK! Ok! I get your point! But even if I do go all that's going to happen is he's going to do them things in front of my face! I mean what's worse?!"
"Really? What's worse? So you don't think when you're sat in here alone that your brain isn't going to go to the worst place possible and think the most outrageous things?" Pansy's eyebrows where raised and her eyes extremely wide.
"Ok you raise a valid point" I flung my head back into my pillow.
"I know I do so hurry up and get ready!"
"Urgh...."
-
"No, no, no!" Another outfit Pansy didn't agree on.
"Ok I'm running out of clothes here Pansy! Could I get some guidance please!" I was nearly throwing a tatrum at this point. 10 mins ago I wasn't going and now I was stressed beyond belief! I hadn't even done anything with my hair and we had 10 minutes, maybe I had to be a little fashionably late.
"You need to look like you don't care but even when you don't care you still look good! Get me?" Pansy's fingers rested on her chin in a thinkers position.
"Right ok what about this snuggly oversized jumper and these tight flared jeans?" I held the clothes in front of my body.
"YES! You've got it! Right now hurry up! Wait I know I'll meet you down there! And put your hair up, use my hair claw on my side and dont forget some earrings!"
"Wait no don't leave me!" I tried to hop towards her with one leg in my jeans and one leg out.
"You'll be fine!" She flashed me a smile and crept round the door.
No! No! Oh god...I didn't want to walk in there alone!! Great! I quickly finished putting my jeans on, changed my top, I stood in front of the mirror and twisted my hair up. Earrings! Shit! I scowered through my draws.
"Come on, come on!....AHA! Yes!" I found a cute pair of dangly earrings of my sisters. Perfect they will do!
Right one last check...ok let's do this.

Macabre Mim
*Note: This story is on hiatus. I intend to pick it up again, but the mood of my life has shifted for the time being and I'm going to be working on a side project for a bit.* What would you give to live the life of your dreams? What kind of deal would you make? And when you were there, forced to stare your dreams in the eye and live them every day, how long would it be... before they broke you? Author's note: This is my first excursion outside the realm of villain fan fiction and I welcome feedback. The thing I've loved most about RRL so far is the potential for writing to be an interactive experience with excited readers. That said, also, the primary genre this is intended for is the blossoming realm of LitRPG. Namely, a slice of life tale in the manner of Grimgar or Re:Zero. So, likewise, I don't expect there will ever be a clear beginning-middle-and-end type of pattern to this story. It will likewise always be a bit more of a reactionary, exploratory novel into realms unknown - much like the 1800 travel-novel theme used by Jules Verne. Or, at least, that is my ambition.
