《delivery girl》Ch. 66

The next day, (Y/N) was nowhere to be seen the moment after the bell rang after lunch. Which was unfortunate, Daniel was in need of a pencil and didn't know who else to ask without feeling uncomfortable.
He was lost in his thoughts as he made his way back to the classroom. 'Maybe I could ask Jay... or Zoe? I could ask Duke too, but he's in a different department...'
He looked up to watch where he was going, his eyes lighting up when he spotted a familiar head of hair.
"(Y/N)!" He called excitedly, waving her down. She flinched and turned around to give Daniel a sharp look, pressing a finger to her lips to shush him.
Daniel stopped in his place, making a point to press his lips together. Other irritated people walking down the hallway grumbled as they tried to push past him.
(Y/N) rolled her eyes and waved Daniel towards her and he eagerly followed, but paused again when she slipped down another hallway.
'Huh?' He slowed down once he reached where she slipped down a hallway. 'There are two... which one did she-"
He yelped when he was yanked down the closer hallway, stumbling into the person who pulled him.
"Agh- Jesus Christ." A familiar voice snapped. "Would you mind not putting your full body weight on me?" (Y/N) shoved his shoulder irritatedly and Daniel quickly made himself stand up straight again.
"Sorry! Sorry." He said, looking down at her as brushed herself off and fixed her uniform.
"So..." Daniel started. "What are you up to?"
"Well, I was about to leave before you caught me so..."
"Oh, I'm sorry..."
"Yeah." (Y/N) sighed.
"So..." Daniel started, kicking at the floor and awkwardly avoiding the girl's eyes.
"So..."
Good god, for somebody of his social status, Daniel is so painfully awkward. Isn't (Y/N), the social recluse up until just recently supposed be the socially inadequate one?
"I'm gonna go." (Y/N) said, turning around and making her way to the door and just as she pushed it open...
"CanIcomewithyou?"
(Y/N) paused, not turning around to show the small smile twitching on her lips.

"Sure."
Daniel practically frolicked after her after she walked out the door, wearing a smile of his own. Although it was significantly wider than (Y/N)'s.
---------------------------
Huo waited in the school parking lot, drumming his fingers on the steering wheel as he waited for (Y/N). It had only been about a week since the two have had time to spend time together during the day (even if (Y/N) has to skip to to do so) but it was longer than either of them was used to.
He grinned when he saw her walking towards the car, laughing a bit when he saw that she sped up a bit when she saw him. He popped a fry in his mouth and wait for her to get to the car.
His excitement caused him to not even notice the other guy behind her.
"You ready to jump a middle scho-" he started when the front passenger door opened, but paused when the back door opened as well.
Daniel poked his head into the car and chirped a hello before tossing his bag in and taking a seat.
"Oh yeah, Daniel's gonna tag long."
Huo raised a brow and tucked his tongue into the side of his cheek.
"Ah."
Their first time in a week that they get to hang out together, and she brings somebody to tag along?
"Well, I only picked up lunch for you, so..." he said, handing her the bag of fast food in his lap to her.
"Oh, thanks." She said, looking into the bag before reaching in for the nuggets Huo got her.
Huo looked at Daniel through the back mirror and shrugged.
"Sorry bro, I wasn't planning on anybody else being here."
"It's fine! I already ate." Daniel said happily, completely oblivious to the fact that one of the three people in the car does not want him here AT ALL.
Huo backs out of his parking spot and begins driving to Minseok's school.
"Why did you pick me up so early?" (Y/N) asked, looking out the window as she munched on the food Huo bought for her.
"Minseok said he had a half day today, remember?"

"Oh, did he?"
"Mhm."
"Oh, are we going to pick up your little brother, (Y/N)?" Daniel asked excitedly. 'I don't see him often! I wonder if he remembers me? Or did he meet me in my other body? I don't really remember...'
"Yeah, some kid has been bothering him at school so we're gonna have a chat." She said casually.
"Oh! He's lucky to have such a caring sister." Daniel said with a warm smile.
(Y/N) pulled a weird face that looked a bit like a grimace. Why was he being so.... nice... today?
Huo bit back a laugh as he pulled into the middle school parking lot. Some kids were already walking out, one boy who looked strikingly similar to (Y/N) was waiting at the edge of the sidewalk, nervously looking around.
"You guys wait here. We'll be back."
"Seeya!" Daniel said happily and Huo just waved.
Now the two were stuck in the car together, alone together, for who knows how long.
Good god, Huo wanted to smash his head into the steering wheel.
Listen, he wasn't the type of guy to be jealous. He didn't even have anything to be jealous of! It's not like he was (Y/N)'s b o y f r i e n d or anything. And eVEn iF he wAS, women are not objects to be possessive of! He nodded to himself.
It was just that he missed his best friend, he hadn't been able to spend time with just her, or just her and Minseok. And the first time that they get to spend time in their little unit, (Y/N) brings some CHUMP, to tAg aLoNg. And he knows that Daniel is a good kid and probably only has good intentions but stiLL-
Daniel sat in the back of the car with an uncomfortable smile as he watched Huo have an internal conversation.
---------------------------
Meanwhile, (Y/N) was standing beside Minseok, waiting for him to point out who had been bothering him. He finally pointed out the kid, and (Y/N) scowled when she saw that the kid was almost as tall as she was.
"... are you sure that's him?"
"Yep."
(Y/N) sighed before taking her brother's hand and walking him over to where the kid was standing.
"Hey, you." (Y/N) called, the kid looked over and she grimaced at the sight of a pimply prepubescent face. Eugh, this kid needs to shave.
The kid turned around and smirked.
"Oh, Minseok. I see you called big sissy to fight your battles for y-"
He was interrupted by (Y/N) grabbing one of his backpack straps and taking it down with more strength than he expected, sending him stumbling to his knees.
(Y/N) made quick work of taking his backpack off of him, undoing all the zippers and pouring the contents of the bag onto the ground.
"Hey, what the hell?!"
(Y/N) ignored him and crouched down, giving him a judge mental look when she saw a rather... erotic manga on the ground.
"T-thats not mine!"
She ignored him and picked up the cracked flip phone that fell out of his bag.
"What are you doing with my phone?!"
"Calling your mother." (Y/N) said casually. "To tell her what a snot she's raised."
"She won't care! I'll tell her what you did to me, and she'll sue-"
"Go ahead, call her. Based on how she raised you, I wouldn't be opposed to fighting her either. And while you're at it, call up your father too, and your siblings. You think I care?" She snarled, tossing the phone to the ground causing the kid to lunge forward to catch it.
"You'll regret this!" The kid shrieked, his voice cracking as he frantically gathered his stuff.
"Yeah, I bet." (Y/N) said sarcastically. She was about to co to ur about how kids these days need to be spanked more often before she sensed another presence behind her.
Thinking it was another one of Minseok's bullies, she whipped around and flared at him. But instead of finding another tween, it was the school security guard who was looking rather disturbed.
"Excuse me miss, is there a problem here."
"We're fine." (Y/N) snapped, grabbing the handle on Minseok's backpack to drag him back to the car.
"If he bothers you again, I'll actually hit him next time."

Legend of the Guild: Point Blank
Status: On hiatus indefinitely, because I'm going to be busy and the story is now at a place where it needs major reconstruction. Curt is a young gunslinger from a small town called Ore Town, situated in a barren wasteland known as the Dusts. While sabotaging the gang threatening his town, Curt is forced to take a leap of faith, literally. He plunges into the sea of clouds expecting death, only to arrive in an entirely new world beneath his own. Saved by a young girl using magic, Curt isn't too sure what to make of his second chance of life. When he meets a fellow Duster who had fallen years ago, he's roped into becoming second-in-command of a brand new guild. Guild duties aren't easy, especially as Curt is tasked to recruit fighters to take on the Grand Guild Tournament, where the winning guild takes home an enormous prize pool -- and most importantly, a mysterious ticket to the fabled "Star City" that exists above the clouds. Going with the flow only takes him so far, and Curt soon finds himself burdened with more responsibility than he bargained for, including the fate of the two worlds. ==============================Wordpress This webnovel is written for fun, and everything posted is essentially a first draft. Beware of typos and lack of creative descriptions — my main priority is to get the story out over writing quality. Still, I hope you enjoy the story. Updates are sporadic, but I aim to release a chapter (~2000-3000 words) at least once a week. Average release time is 1 chapter/3 days. I took inspiration from the lore of the MMO, Dungeon Fighter Online (Dungeon & Fighter), and there may be easter eggs or references to the game, but the story and characters have become wholly original and standalone. [Note: Profanity tag is up because profanity is present, but infrequent]
