After school the architecture department had five angsty students and one nervous teacher held inside after school hours.
The only reason that the teacher was nervous was (Y/N)'s unwavering glare. He could feel her judging every move he made. Even when he looked up to catch her staring, she refused to look away.
He couldn't care less about having some of the school's most infamous students in the same room as him, he just wanted (Y/N) to stop staring.
"Hey, why don't you kids make yourselves useful and clean up some classrooms."
Zack groaned and slammed his head on the desk and (Y/N) scoffed.
"Why? So you can get us alone?"
The teacher sighed.
"In pairs..."
"There's an uneven numbers of students... sir." Vasco pointed out.
'Wow, he can count?' Zack thought.
The teacher pressed his lips together. 'This damn girl is so difficult!' "Fine then. (Y/N), choose who you would like as your partner."
Without a second thought, she answered.
"Jay."
Before anyone in the class could react, she was dragging Jay out of the classroom. He was stumbling after her, watching his feet to try and get them back in control as well as seeing
(Y/N)'s choice of shoes. He realized with a smile that they were the ones he bought for her.
Once they were out the door (Y/N) let go of his wrist and huffed. "You know, I really hate teachers."
Back in the classroom it was awkwardly silent. Daniel looked at Vasco, who was staring at the door and then to Zack, who met his eyes and shrugged.
When Daniel looked to the teacher, he looked dead inside. He sighed and rubbed his temples. "Just go to another classroom. Don't bother coming back." With that he grabbed his bat and walked out of the classroom.

The last three boys sat in silence for a minute, then Zack stood up with his bag.
"Well, I'm out."
"But we have to clean the classrooms." Vasco pointed out.
"Fuck the classrooms." Zack said and walked out.
Vasco was ready to argue more, but Daniel spoke up.
"Hey, let's just clean up ourselves and the teacher will yell at him tomorrow." 'He won't...'
Vasco glared at the door one last time before agreeing.
"Okay! I'll clean my side, you clean yours." Daniel said as he stood up. Vasco nodded, giving Daniel a silent treatment of sorts as they began to clean.
After about 15 minutes Daniel had wiped down the classroom's windows and reorganized the classrooms's books. He turned around to see what Vasco had gotten done, and sighed when he saw him swatting at the whiteboard with a duster.
'What should I do? If I tell him he's doing it wrong he might try to fight me again.' He continued to watch Vasco destroy the duster and slowly work away at the writing on the board. 'Think.. think...'
Vasco was startled out of his focus and he heard a clap behind him. He turned around to face Daniel, who was beaming at him.
"Great job today! The classroom looks great!"
Vasco didn't understand. "I'm not done-"
"I think it's time to go home! I'll stay back since I didn't finish my part."
"I didn't finish either."
"It's okay, tell Jace I said hi."
Vasco paused at the mention of his friend. 'I should say hi to Jace... he should see my new phone screen.'he slowly picked up his bag. "Okay... I'll see you around. Don't get in trouble again."
Daniel nodded, 'But you're in detention too...' "Okay. See you tomorrow."

Vasco grunted and walked out of the classroom.
Daniel sighed when he was finally left on his own and got back to work. His mind wandered as he cleaned, thinking of the girls asking if he was going to perform at lunch.
He remembered how he used to always sing when he was home alone, which was quite often. And the idea of singing on stage made his heart race.
While his mother worked, he would lay down in bed and stare at the ceiling, wallowing in loneliness.
Daniel looked around to make sure no one else around.
________________________________
(Y/N) was walking down the hall by herself. She and Jay had finished cleaning fairly quickly because they spent their time cleaning, not talking. And it turns out Jay was a total clean freak.
She walked in a zigzagging path as she made her way out of the building, not bothering to look where she was going. It's not like there was anybody to walk into.
When she heard humming from one of the hallways she stopped. She tilted her head to ty and decipher where the music was coming from.
Where there was music, there was Duke.
Most of the time.
When she got a good idea where the beautiful singing was coming from, she jogged towards the classroom. Duke had never mentioned that he could sing. She would have remembered.
When she made it close enough, she nearly ran past and skidded to a stop. As she expected, Duke was standing there with his mouth dropped open.
"Duke, you never told me you could-" she stopped when he slapped her leg. She narrowed her eyes down at him but looked in the direction that he was.
"Wha- Daniel?" (Y/N) called out, just in case. Was that really his voice? Why did it sound so lonely when he was singing?
Daniel gasped and whipped around to see the two people that heard him singing.
"W-What?!" 'Someone was listening?'
Duke stepped into the classroom, a blush beginning to form on his cheeks. (Y/N) remained in the doorway, leaning against the frame.
"H.. Hi." Duke said shyly with a small wave.
'Huh? Him? (Y/N)?'
"L-Let's.. uh.. let's.." Duke stuttered and began to wring his hands, (Y/N) stepped forward and gently pushed him towards Daniel.
"Let's perform together at the festival." He said, standing as straight as he could and not meeting Daniel's eyes.
Daniel gasped. 'What? What did he say?'
"I know it's crazy but lets do it. I was wrong about you. I feel honestly in your voice. I need you." Duke continued, finally looking up at Daniel and clenching his fists with determination.
Duke began to falter at Daniel's lack of response. "Y-you must feel bad because of my proposal. I'm not trying to capitalize your popularity."
'How could we-'
"I'm confident in my rapping. We'll blow them away. Believe me."
Daniel continued to stare.
"If you want to hit me go ahead."
"Don't hit him." (Y/N) piped in.
Duke glanced back at her with a shaky smile. "Please, just think about it."
"C-Can..."
Daniel felt like he was in his old boy. Small, weak, insecure.
"Can I really do that?"
