Chapter 7... Finally
*Taylor's POV*
I sat straight up in bed like usual, I was covered in sweat and I felt like I couldn't breathe. I pulled at the collar around my neck hoping I could get air into my lungs. I've been here for about four days now and so far its been the same. Wake up then go get Heath up and follow him around. Shift when he says and play with him or whatever he wants. Get this he actually made me play fetch...with a stick.. how humiliating is that.
Sometimes Emma sits with me while Heath is with his vampire friends. She's nice I like her, she treats me like a human and not like a "mutt" I do enjoy that.
There was a soft tap at my door. Oh and my door is maybe half a foot from my bed. Remember Harry Potter's room in the first one? Yeah that is practically the same but a little more like a closet although there is a window.. with bars. I sat up and opened the door, it was Emma and I smiled up at her.
"Miss. Emma what can I help you with?" I hated saying that Miss or Mr that is a sign of respect and I do not respect them.
"Would you like to come for a walk with me?" My eyes widened. A question? I can answer it?
"What about Master Heath?"
"He sleeps in on the weekends." She said.
Why didn't he tell me that? Instead he would have been mad that I woke him up. Oh well.
"Sure Miss. Emma, I'd be delighted." I stood and followed her outside to the back yard. No one seemed to be awake but that's okay, their back yard is beautiful. It is a huge field of green grass with paths that lead around the property. We went straight toward the tall bushes covered in bright read roses.
I smiled to myself, this is a place I'd want to go with Savannah.
We walked along and talked about the weather and the agenda of the day. Then she asked me something something I wasn't expecting.
"You should leave." She said and stepped over to a small pond. No one could see or hear us out here we were about a mile out and the yard is still beautiful.
I walked over next to her and looked to the water seeing my reflection. I looked like hell, my hair was flat and my face was thinner from lack of food.

"I wish I could leave." I said after a minute.
"Then go."
I looked at her. "How? Wont they look for me?" they being the vampires.
"Maybe, but you need to be with your mate."
She kept looking at the pond. "Why are you telling me this?" I asked and she looked up at me.
"You got here on accident and you were taken by force." she paused and looked at the pond and sighed. "I heard my father talking, its against the elders law to keep a werewolf that belongs to a pack and especially that has a living mate."
My mouth dropped open. "I can leave your saying." A smile grew on my face. I could go home, I could leave and be with Savannah.
"It isn't that easy, if you run, they have a right to chase you and-"
"Why? How?" I interrupted her.
"Because they bought you."
"So your saying right now if I ran I might have a chance?"
"Maybe," she shrugged. "You don't know the land like they do. Your pack is that way." She pointed to my left. "If you run now, don't stop, but.."
"But what?" My heart rate started to pick up. Home. Home. Home. Savannah. Savannah. That's what was on my mind.
"I have to go and say you hit me and ran, or I'd be exicuted for betrail."
"Would you do that for me?" I asked. If not, I'll hit her and run. Sorry Emma.
"I guess but you have to hit me to make it look real."
I reached forward and hugged her. "Thank you." I said and smiled.
"Your welcome." she said and turned to her left so I could hit her.
I closed my eyes and hit her across the face. I saw four claw marks.
"Emma I'm so sorry." I stepped forward and reached to her cheek.
She stepped back from me. "Go. Now."
I nodded and jumped and shifted in the air. Running to the straight not left.
I ran for about two miles and took off the collar leaving it on the ground and continued to run.
I ran past the trees and jumped over logs and dodged bushes. I even saw some deep run away from me, my stomach growled and I licked my chops. But I shook my head. No I have to keep going.

Finally after I guessed was nine or ten more miles I found a creek. I stopped and lapped up some water and got in and drenched my whole body head to toe then jumped out and began to run again but stopped slowly about two feet from the river and backed up in my same foot prints and got back in the creek.
Okay Emma said to the left so I turned to my left and ran in the creek for a while and finally hopped out after I drank some more and continued my run. It felt like forever.
*Savannah's POV*
I finally got out of bed and noticed my family wasn't here. "Oh shit there was a pack meeting." I began to run back to my room but stopped. Late is just as bad as not showing in the pack so no point in going.
I walked back down the steps and started to make some toast. I was getting the bread out when I saw my hand. I quickly reached down and unwrapped it from the bandage. It was healed but there was still some dark cut lines. I sighed, scars now.
I forgot the toast and went up stairs and took a shower and cried. Why hasn't anyone found her. Or even a scent, she better be okay.
I shook my head I cant think like that.
I just sat down on the couch after my shower. I don't want to do anything, or move for that matter.
*Taylor's POV*
I stopped for a break after two hours of running and huffed and puffed. Once I was done I looked around and smelled the air, it smelled familiar. I'm getting closer. I glanced to my left and saw the meadow I got trapped in. I'm so close.
I sucked in a big gulp of air and ran my little K9 heart out. I could only think one word. Savannah, Savannah, Savannah. I lowered my head and ran as fast as I could.
*Savannah's POV*
I walked out to the back porch when my parents got home, I just need some fresh air and to be alone.
Unless it was Taylor. I sighed and leaned against the porch railing.
I felt a breeze across my face and lifted my head sniffing the air. The air smelled so fresh, crisp and clean, like-
My heart nearly stopped and I leaped off the porch shifting and destroying my clothes. I heard my parents yell for me but I didn't care. I ran and ran until the scent was very strong.
I stopped and leaped up on a log and threw my head back and howled into the air. I loved my howl it was powerful and I know Taylor will know it's mine.
*Taylor's POV*
I stopped and listened to the direction of her howl.
My love. My mate. My Savannah.
I ran toward her and didn't stop till I saw the beautiful black wolf looking at me with her dark eyes.
I stopped and looked at her, she was so beautiful I couldn't believe it. All her markings that I have now.
She leaped off the log and charged at me. -What is she doing?- I thought to myself. She didn't stop or slow down. And a second later she tackled me to the ground and was looking at me with a weird look in her eyes. She bent down and licked my nose and I licked hers back.
My heart fluttered while my stomach was full of butterflies. She bent down to my neck and I moved it to the side accepting what she was going to do to me but right before she bit down there was a loud growl.
Savannah scrambled off of me and I stood with my tail between my legs.
The Alpha walked closer to me and I lowered my head to the ground. He was either going to sniff or hurt me, or maybe both. He might think I betrayed them or something.
When he stepped closer I heard a growl and some paws shuffle. I glanced up and Savannah just stood up to the Alpha, her own father. For me.
He stopped and she stopped growling. She didn't want to challenge him and I don't want her to but she was just trying to protect me.
She backed up a little while growling and he stepped forward and sniffed me. He smelled the Vampire's I could tell. He walked behind me and shoved me forward telling me to walk.
Savannah was by my side though and that's all that matter to me. I looked over at her and she looked at me with concern in her eyes.
Uhoh, that doesnt look good...

Dungeon Scholar
Girl meets dungeon. What could go right? A story of a good-hearted Scholar driven by her compassion and curiosity. She might be a little combat averse, but um, isn't that only logical? Love me a good grimdark, but sometimes I want to read feel-good fiction that isn't pure action, romance, or comedy. The plot and characters of Dungeon Scholar won't be all happy and fluffy, and the world will be more dungeons and monsters than rainbows and puppies, but overall the sweet moments should overshadow the bitter. Let's say three dollops of sugar for every pinch of salt, with lemon slices left on the saucers? Enjoy. Note: This is NOT a typical dungeon story. If you are here for the dungeon aspect, then fair warning this will seem incredibly slow-burn to you. The dungeon will eventually become the most important 'character,' arguably, or the second-most important narratively, but you might jump out the window in frustration long before that happens. At its heart, the story's core remains 'girl meets dungeon,' not 'dungeon meets world.' (To be clear, this does or will have a plot! It's just the more conventional story-like elements contribute to Rowena Loress's greater story, not the other way around; no conflict takes center stage until it becomes personally significant to her. Meanwhile, have some Slice of Life.) Updates every Friday Cover made using Waifulabs Written using 4thewords (referral code: UZJRY55368)
