Chapter 8
*Taylor's POV*
We walked into the Alpha's house and I just stood there as the Alpha walked down some hall. I looked over to Savannah and she nodded for me to follow her.
We walked up a set of marble stairs, her house was very beautiful. We walked into a room and I could tell it was hers by the decor. A couple posters, and some pictures hung on the wall.
Savannah walked into her bathroom and I sniffed her room. I never want to leave.
She came back out in her bathrobe and walked to her dresser and grabbed a T-shirt and jeans.
"These should fit," she said and turned toward me. "Although you have a bigger ass then mine." she chuckled and I hid my face embarrassed. Not my fault my ass is the way it is.
She set the clothes on the counter in the bathroom and closed the door. I shifted and went to grab the clothes, but stopped. I'm not going commando in jeans, and I cant ask for a pair of underwear that's just weird, even if she is my mate.
I swollowed my pride and put on the clothes. I felt weird, but damn they smell good.
I stepped out the door after I cleaned up a bit and Savannah stood and walked in front of me and I looked down to the ground.
She reached out and pulled me into a tight hug.
"I'm so happy your okay Taylor." she pulled back and looked for my eyes which were focused on the floor.
"Please look at me." she said in the sweetest voice, how could I say no. Although even if I did I couldn't say no.
I looked up into her brown eyes and saw little white flecks in them. She smiled at me but it faded to quickly.
"My father thinks you betrayed us." she looked into my eyes and I did my best to keep mine there.
"No, I didn't betray the pack." I said sternly. I didn't mean for it to sound mean but it kinda did. "I got captured by hunters." I said quietly.

Savannah pulled me in another hug and I hugged her back. The feeling of her body against mine was amazing.
She pulled back again and moved her head towards mine and I closed my eyes and leaned my head forward. I felt her lips against mine a second later and they were so soft, I just want her to stay right there, but instead she pulled away and she was blushing. It was adorable.
She grabbed my hand and lead me down the stairs again to the living room where her father was standing. There was two body guards next to him and my parents were in the back of the room along with the beta and Savannah's mother.
Savannah and I stood in the middle of the room hand in hand. I knew what Savannah was doing. She was making sure they remember we are mates, telling them I belong to her. As much as I don't like being owned, I do belong to her in many ways. My heart and soul, my wolf, and my love. It's all for her.
"Savannah go stand with your mother." her father said. Just his voice scares me. Savannah squeezed my hand in reassuarance then let it go and she walked to her mother's side.
My hand felt cold and limp without her hand in it, even just after a minute or two.
"Miss. St.Claire please explain what happened over the last couple days." he commanded.
My throat was dry and it was hard to find my words.
"When my mother told me she called you and Mrs.Rivers I panicked and ran. I ran into a trap and got captured by hunters off our territory. Then I was sold to the Owen's family. They were Vampires and I was purchased as a pet for the masters son. Then this morning I decided to run, I ran and didn't look back." I felt out of breath by the end of what I said.
The Alpha looked like he was deciding what would happen. I glanced back and saw Savannah, she gave me a worried smile and I looked back to the Alpha. I kept my eyes low but I was still attentive.

He stepped forward and my heart began to pound heavily. He stopped and all I could see were his boots while my eyes were glued to the floor.
A second later my head was whipped to the side and I hit the ground before I knew what even happened. Pain rushed through my jaw and up my head and down my neck.
"Taylor!" I heard Savannah yell from my left. I looked and she was running for me but the two body guards grabbed her by her arms and held her back.
My vision was blurry and I felt something wet on my hand. I looked down at my arm on the marble floor and there was red liquid spreading on the floor. "What the?" I said quietly.
I glanced to my right and noticed the pieces of broken blue glass on the floor. Why is that there?
I faintly heard Savannah screaming my name behind me as I lay on the wet marble. I saw two black boots appear in my fuzzy vision.
"You Taylor St.Claire recieved that for betraying your mate. My daughter." I heard the Alpha say in a hard cold voice.
Betray my mate? What? I would never do that to her ever!
"Taylor!" Savannah screamed again. I wanted to turn my head but my vision started to fade in an out and my head felt really heavy. I laid it on the marble and closed my eyes wanting it to stop. On second thought a little sleep might be good.
*Savannah's POV*
"Taylor!" I yelled again. I struggled against the men holding me back. "She needs help!"
Taylor is turned facing the other way so I cant see her face, but the pool of blood is getting bigger. I need to help her.
My father stepped in front of me and grabbed my face to look at him but I kept my eyes on Taylor's body. I felt tears run down my face.
"Savannah look at me." My father said to me.
"How could you!" I yelled at him and looked back at Taylor.
"She betrayed you. She rejected you."
I stopped struggling and looked up at him. He smiled knowing his words got to me. I gathered the saliva in my mouth and spat it in his face. "She didn't reject me, she was confused."
He growled and wiped my spit off his face. "She left you!" he yelled and pointed back at her.
"She left to protect me!"
"Protect you?" he laughed. "How?"
I yanked my arms away from the guards and stepped forward. "To protect me from hurting her and myself. What she did made me realize I need her!"
He was speechless, so I took that as my opportunity to go see if she was okay.
I ran around my father and dodged her blood and broken glass. I knelt down in front of her. She had a huge gash cut open on her forehead from hitting the marble floors, then two small ones on her lip and chin from my fathers fist. That bastard. I glanced at her left arm that hit broke the glass and it was sliced open as well as her hands.
"Taylor," I shook her lightly. She didn't open her eyes. "Taylor." I called again. Still nothing. My eyes were stinging with tears. I looked up at my parents and Taylor's. "Don't just stand there call an ambulance!" there faces looked blank but then Taylor's father reached in his pocket and got out his cell phone.
I looked back at Taylor. My hands were covered in her blood. "Taylor!" I yelled and shook her.
"Honey." My father wrapped his arms around me and pulled me away from her. I was sobbing, I couldn't catch a breath and barley could see through my tears.
I tried to get out of the monsters grasp but I couldnt. "Taylor." I said softly. She has to be okay. I need her. She's mine. She's my mate.
I could only hear my cries in the room. Everyone else was silent. She is going to be okay. She is going to be okay. I had to think positive. For my mate. For my love.

A Castle in a Teacup
One might say that to anger forces beyond the ken of fragile breakable mortals is a bad idea, others might say that meddling in dark forces with little chance of gain is also a bad idea, they would both be right by on all counts but they forget to mention also how incredibly stupid combining both of those things are. Stupid people don’t last so long on the mystic side of things, normal folks who wander over to the other side have a tendency to do one of two things, either A. figure out that the best thing to do is keep their head down and not draw attention from any entity that refers to humanity as “you mortals” , or B. something horrifying happens to them. As you may have guessed I fell into the second category, mostly because I thought there was a third option. See I though there must be an option C, an option where I got to end up not as some shitty back ally wizard cowering at the chance of discovery, praying that one of my wards or spells wouldn’t be noticed by something that goes bump in the night. No I would be the one who rose above all that. I would never have to be afraid. Well I made a good attempt at it that’s for damn sure, but unfortunately for me it turns out there is not an option C. At least not for me…
