《Before I Go ✔️》Chapter 07 | Before I Leave My House

I lock the door on my way out and turn to the left where Gavin's standing beside his car, his mustang. The car was red and beautiful no doubt, I just don't want to imagine ever girl who's ever- never mind. "Can you walk any slower?" He groans at me before taking his seat inside.

I finally reach the car and enter through the passengers side. Gavin's scent masks the air and it's unusual I feel so attracted to it. "What are you doing?" He says watching me pour some hand sanitizer into the palm of my hand.

"What does it look like I'm doing?" I roll my eyes at him. I was just taking some precautions.

"It smells like shit."

"Actually it's cookie dough scented." I say. "Get it right."

"Put your seatbelt on and shut up." He tells me. I stick my tongue out like the child I was before I grab the belt and with my luck the belt just breaks. Breaks completely off of the car.

I slowly turn my head to see Gavin shaking his head at me. "Lets just go." Gavin turns on the loud engine that I hear every morning and almost every night, it was hard to miss. We head down the road into our neighborhood before we get on the main road.

"Do you plan on telling me what we're doing now?" I said looking over at him. One of his hands were on the wheel as the other was holding his phone, I wasn't going to die of cancer I was going to die in a car accident because I broke the seatbelt and now the driver is texting.

"Well I guess we have to get a new seatbelt." He mumbles. "Thanks to somebody, you couldn't even open that pickle-"

"Your point is?" I cut him off.

He glances at me for a moment before he looks back at his phone. "Do you know Andy Griffin? Probably not. Anyway, he decided it would be funny to draw a dick on my car."

I laugh a little. "Pretty funny if you ask me."

"As I was saying, Beck and Carver are going to help me get some revenge on the kid." I look a little worried as I see him smiling. "You're going to help too."

"On one condition." I said. "You don't tell your friends or anyone for the matter that you're babysitting me."

"Fine, lips are sealed."

The car comes to a halt and we both wait for the boys to show up. I annoyingly have to get out of the car when Carver arrives so he can sit in the back. "Where's Beckham?" Gavin asks.

"Grounded." Carver explains before turning to me with a confused look. "Haven't I seen you somewhere before?" He asks.

"Yeah that's why I don't go there anymore." I tell him.

"Fail." Carver laughs out loud.

"Just like your social life." I chuckled. I think I even managed to make Gavin laugh without humiliating myself.

"You think your so good at comebacks?" Carver says.

"Try me." I provoked.

"Are you wearing space pants because your ass is out of this world." He winks making me laugh a little.

"No I'm wearing softball pants because my ass is out of your league." Okay when did I become so good at comebacks? "Do yourself a favor and ignore anyone who tells you to be yourself, bad idea in your case."

"Okay now that was just rude." Carver frowns at me. "This isn't over."

"It's Alex by the way." I said.

"I remember you now!" Carver shouts. "The girl from the party." I nod my head. "It's all a blur for me."

I look out the window to see we've arrived at Costco. I used to love coming here as a kid for food samples. The three of us hop out of the car and head inside the large store. Carver runs off into another direction leaving me with Gavin.

"What do you plan on getting here?" I said as we made our way through the aisles.

"Do you always ask so many questions?" Gavin says.

"Do you always act like and asshole?" I said stuffing my hands into my pockets. We reach a wall of paint and start arguing over which colors to choose from.

"Blue." I said.

"Red."

I roll my eyes. "This is useless."

Gavin stares at me blankly before he grabs the blue can. "Blue it is." He turns his back to me but I can't help but feel like he's starting to warm up to me.

"Hey look." I said, I grabbed a blow horn from the shelf staring down at it.

"Don't press the-" before he can finish I've already pressed the small button that sends a large noise throughout the store.

"Sorry Gavin, what'd you say?" I chuckled. In return he turns around completely ignoring me, did I see thee Gavin Cambridge smile?

We paid for our items. Which include Carvers raw steak purchase and toilet paper. The cashier gave us all suspicious looks before we headed out.

We finally arrive at a movie theater. I know we're not stopping by to watch a movie, that's for sure.

Gavin parks his car and looks toward me. "Don't screw this up Alex." I smack his arm which is useless because it's protected by his large biceps.

"That blue Honda is his." Carver says pointing a few parking spaces away.

"We're breaking in?" I said.

Gavin laughs. "We're teaching him a lesson."

"And how do you plan on doing that?" I asked.

Gavin and Carver exchange mischievous grins making me somewhat intrigued.

Gavin takes the can of paint and I watch him paint a mans genitals on the hood of the vehicle, of course. When he's done Carver puts the raw streak underneath the hood, disgusting.

Carver takes out multiple rolls of toilet paper and we hurry up to wrap the car in its entirety.

"I think we have one last thing to do." Gavin pulls out the same blow horn from the store, he places a piece of tape around the button part which causes it to excessively blow it's horn without stopping. He tosses it underneath the car and we make a run for it.

I felt a rush of adrenaline entering my body, something I've never felt before.

We finally reach are last stop of the night, home. I fish in my pocket until I pull out my phone and see that it's already half passed midnight. My mother wasn't home yet? Maybe she went out with Sarah afterward.

"Tonight was, interesting." I said wrapping my arms around myself. It was pretty cold out here.

"Yeah." He says scratching the back of his neck.

"You can head back home if you want, I'm ready for a very long nap." I admit, laughing nervously because what if he wants to stay longer?

Gavin nods his head. "Then I guess this is goodnight?"

I nod my head. We both just stand there until we finally turn around and part ways. I unlock my door turning my head just a bit to see Gavin already disappearing within his house.

Now, I better go take a shower with my antibacterial soap.
