《The Lion and The Raven ~ James Potter AU》CHAPTER 4

After James and Sirius got out the train, they were immediately pulled into a crowd of other first years heading after a man with a lamp who was directing them towards boats on the lake.
"Only four in a boat. No more!" screamed the man.
James and Sirius immediately got into a boat together. They then searched for Camilla, who was no where to be seen.
"Move forward!" commanded the man. The boats obeyed his command and moved as if by (pardon the pun) magic.
The Uncle and Nephew looked at their boat-mates.
One of them was a guy. He had light brown hair and clear blue eyes. James recognised him immediately, "Hey Frank."
The boy looked up, relieved to see a familiar face. "Hello James. Are you excited for the sorting?"
"Ya. Dad wouldn't tell me how we were going to be sorted, however. Do you know?" asked James.
Frank shook his head, "No. I asked mum as well. She said it was a Hogwarts secret, and that she could not tell me."
"My dad told us that we had to fight a troll." said the forth person in the boat.
The three boys looked at him in shock. The forth boy had flaming red hair, much like the girl they saw earlier. His face was full of freckles and he had the bluest eyes they had ever seen.
Frank clicked his tongue, "I saw you going on the other boat! Look!" he said pointing at a boat nearby
The other three boys looked. Sure enough, there was an identical boy there. Down to the last freckle.
The mysterious boy chuckled, "Oh, that loser? That's just my brother, Gideon. I'm Fabian, by the way. Fabian Prewett. The more handsome of the Prewett twins."

"And apparently, the more modest twin as well." commented Sirius with a grin.
Fabian smiled and with a twinkle in his eye said, "I'm going to like you three. I just know it."
"Are you really Fabian?" asked Frank. "Not Gideon pretending to be Fabian?"
'Fabian' flashed a guilty look, "Okay, you caught me. I'm Gidion. Or am I?" he asked mysteriously.
All the boys broke out into laughter.
"So, how is your brother sitting there when you are sitting here?" asked James curiously.
Fabian shrugged, "We lost each other in the crowd."
The boys nodded.
"Say," started Fabian "What are your names?"
"James. James Potter."
"Frank Longbottom."
"Black, Sirius Black."
"Black?" asked Fabian with a raised eyebrow. "I hope you haven't inherited too much of the Black family madness."
Sirius sighed. "Me too."
"We're related, you know." commented Fabian.
"The Blacks are related to literally every family." said Sirius dryly.
Fabian chuckled. "True."
"But, you are right. I mean, you are my first cousin through father." said Sirius. "Aunt Lucretia, right?"
Fabian nodded. "Thats my mum."
"But aren't the Prewett's neutral? I mean, I can understand the Potters and the Blacks not meeting much. Considering we are light and you are dark, but the Prewetts are grey." said James.
Sirius shrugged, "Unless you are dark, mother will never make an effort."
"The Longbottoms are related as well. Arcturus I and Lysandra Black nee Yaxley's first daughter was my grandmother, Callidora Longbottom nee Black." informed Frank.
"That makes us family. Family sticks together." said a grinning Sirius. "Now, tell me boys. What do you feel about pranking?"
Fabian grinned while Frank sighed deeply.

The Last Orellen (An Epic Progression Fantasy)
According to prophecy, the ninth-born child of Lord Orellen will have the sort of power that changes the world. But in a land ruled by mage families, no one welcomes the possibility of a dangerous new player. Fearful even of their allies, the Orellens come up with an extraordinary and deadly scheme to protect themselves. If the most powerful sorcerers in the world wish to kill the ninth-born, they will have to find him or her first. And that's not going to be easy when the Orellens have called upon dark magic to create hundreds of heirs. The boys and girls are given new bodies, new names, and even new magical talents before they are scattered across the continent. Only one among them is the real ninth, but all of them will have to grow up in a world where they are fugitives. Kalen, once fated to die, is now an Orellen heir in hiding. And he is determined to survive, even if he has to master his strange new powers to do it. The Last Orellen is a long, character-focused progression fantasy set in a vast universe about a boy's journey to become a powerful mage. Reviews are deeply appreciated. Please do not repost my work elsewhere without my written permission. What type of reader is this book for? You might enjoy The Last Orellen if you like... Clever and resourceful protagonists. Big fantasy worlds. Multiple cultures, lots of characters, many different types of magic--this story is expansive rather than closely focused on a narrow storyline. Progression fantasy that takes its time. Our main character will be progressing through magical ranks, but this is going to be a lengthy story. If you're more about the journey than the destination, this might be the book for you. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

Saga of Fallen Kings, Book I: The Revenant Prince
The Philosopher King once conquered the known world, his power seemingly unlimited and his armies inexhaustible. Since that time his might has slowly unravelled, and his once steadfast empire has begun to crack, splinter and devour itself. In the isolated Southern Realms, where even magic has abandoned them, none of that matters. For years it has been filled with warring kingdoms, where as many kings die to the blade as to old age, and constant battles tear apart the land. When one such kingdom invades its old enemy, the King and his heir, Prince Caden, are killed. Unable to accept the loss of his family Prince Arian is broken, and when the Philosopher King stretches out his hand in aid, Arian takes it without a second thought. When Caden wakes from death, he's different. His eyes and soul have changed, and he finds a world filled with friends who no longer trust he's even human. Suddenly thrust onto the throne and indebted to the Philosopher King, Caden has no choice but to keep going - he must finish what his father started, and try to survive the machinations of the figure who now owns his fealty. Meanwhile something beyond death stirs for him, desiring nothing more than to drag him back into its embrace. Author's Note: This story used to be known as "A King of his Own", but after some consideration I have decided to rebrand it. The first reason is that I was growing increasingly dissatisfied with the title. The second is that I have come increasingly to view this story as a 'saga' containing multiple 'books' rather than one long, continuous publication, and as I did so I realized that as I was quickly getting to a point in the story where I wanted the first 'book' to end. This doesn't mean I'm going back on the things I said below - they're just going to continue in the next book of the Saga of Fallen Kings. :) Also, be aware that I do plan to edit this at some point. Though I take care to squash out any obvious errors when I proof-read, and do simple edits in that process, at some point I'm almost certainly going to do large edits that might significantly change parts of the story. Old author's notes: This started as a completely random writing session. There was no purpose or direction, but as I kept typing an entire world began to form in my mind that I knew I had to write about. My plan is to turn this story into a veritable medieval fantasy epic that spans an entire world, follows multiple character and storylines, and takes place over many years. The story has quite a grounded, almost 'realistic' start, but many more fantastical elements will be introduced, expanded upon and become central to the narrative. I have ideas for this story that make me genuinely excited and I hope you enjoy my work as much as I enjoy writing it, and join me on what will hopefully become a truly massive fantasy epic. If you do enjoy this story please consider following, rating and leaving a review. I'm also happy to answer any questions or comments you have.
