《The Lion and The Raven ~ James Potter AU》CHAPTER 5

"Hey Cam!" screamed James.
Blonde hair turned to face them in surprise before becoming happy.
"Bon Soir. I couldn't find you both at the boats." she replied.
Professor McGonnall had just gone back into the huge doors after introducing herself and giving a quick description of the Hogwarts houses.
"Did you meet up with your cousins?" asked Sirius, appearing from beside James.
Camilla nodded. "Oui, I did. I have to introduce you to them later."
"Ah-hem." came the voice of Fabian Prewett, as he cleared his voice.
"Oh right!" exclaimed James. "Camilla, these are our friends- Fabian Prewett and Frank Longbottom. Guys, this is Camilla Lavensque."
The boys both bowed and kissed her hand after she gave a light curtesy.
"Which house do you want to get sorted into?" asked Frank, attempting to make conversation.
"I belong in Slytherin. However, I am going to try to trick the Hat into sorting me into Ravenclaw." replied Camilla.
"You WANT to go to Slytherin?!" exclaimed James.
Sirius sighed and shook his head with disappointment, "And just when I thought I liked you."
Camilla, unaffected by this simply shrugged. "I'm ambitious. Not everyone who goes into Slytherin emerges mad, crazy and trying to take over the world, you know? I'm not chivalrous or brave. So, I can't go to Gryffindor. I'm not exactly accepting or loyal, ruling out Hufflepuff. I am, however, very very ambitious and I always get what I want. Slytherin is thus perfect for me. But..."
"But?" questioned Prewett.
Camilla's lips quirked, "I had a wager with my cousins earlier. Both of them bet I was going to Slytherin. So, I'm going to do everything possible not to get into Slytherin. I'm smart and a little curious, so Ravenclaw's my best bet. Besides, a Slytherin not going into Slytherin? That would be the most Slytherin thing to do."

"True.." replied Prewett with a laugh.
"But- but-" started James. "Slytherins are all evil!"
Camilla widened her eyes. "James! That is no way to talk about your mother."
And thats when James remembered that Lady Potter was, infact, a Slytherin and a very proud one at that.
"You mentioned something about a Hat." commented Sirius, steading the topic.
"Why did you?" asked Longbottom curiously.
Camilla looked at them strangely, "You all do know that we are sorted into our Houses based on the opinions of a singing hat, right? My cousins told me that."
"A Hat?-
"What happened to the troll-
"Thank goodness-
"I can not have hat hair-
"They are ready for you now." interrupted the Scottish professor.
The children followed her.
... "Black, Sirius!"
"GRYFFINDOR"

"GRYFFINDOR"
"Fawley, Catherine"
"RAVENCLAW!"
"Fortensque, Alice"

That day saw the highest number of Gryffindors sorted, much to Headmaster Dumbledoor's delight- 11 to be exact. There were also 8 Ravenclaws, 6 Slytherins and 9 Hufflepuffs.

The Legion of Nothing
Nick Klein is your average high school geek--if you can still count as average when your grandfather is a retired superhero, and you've been trained in the martial arts by his friend, a mysterious, immortal mercenary. After his grandfather dies, Nick inherits the last version of the Rocket suit, powered armor that allows him to shrug off bullets, smash through walls, and manipulate sound. Along with it comes the base of his grandfather's superhero team including the team's jet and trophies from forty years of fighting criminals and aliens. Together, Nick and his friends, descendants of his grandfather's teammates, attempt to bring back a superhero team that was originally formed during World War 2. Along the way they'll face the normal problems of high school (bullies, homework, and dating), and the less normal problems like supervillians and mysteries leftover from their grandparents' past. As a story, it uses the conventions of all eras of comics from the 1940s on, ranging from serious to silly. If you're hoping for a grim and gritty story, this isn't it. The Legion of Nothing first debuted on my website legionofnothing.com in 2007. In that period it's updated more than 900 times, is still running, and has had millions of pageviews. The first two years have been released as an ebook, receiving good reviews on Amazon and Goodreads. I hope you'll enjoy it, and that you'll review it and comment. You can also vote for it on Top Web Fiction and rate it on Web Fiction Guide. Member of The Order of Phantasmal Architects.

Vigilantes Make Us Safe: Rebel Rebel
When the world was on the brink in the 1940s a group of men and women with uncommon ability pulled the world from the brink. They inspired generations to come and led to a golden age of vigilantes protecting the world. Times change. By the early 2000s almost nowhere was willing to tolerate unregulated men and women dispensing their own form of justice. The dawn of the internet made operating in the shadows virtually impossible. Everyone thought the days of vigilantes were done but presidential candidate Richard Hughes, riding a wave of populism, has promised to bring these men and women into the light and empower them to keep us all safe. The passing of the Vigilantes Making Us Safe Act changes everything. All teenagers feel like they don’t fit in at times. Ryaan Asfour knows the feeling well. As part of an immigrant family in a country turning against immigrants, there’s a lot of people who don’t think he belongs. The election of Richard Hughes and the passage of the Vigilantes Making Us Safe Act hasn’t helped matters. Suddenly anyone who wants to discriminate can just say they’re keeping people safe and do whatever they want. Sudden popularity at school after hitting a game winning shot makes it even more apparent how much he doesn’t fit in with the rest of his world. A clash with a pair of vigilantes on his way home from school puts things in perspective. What can Ryaan do to protect his family and his neighborhood? Vigilantes Making Us Safe will follow a variety of lead characters including Serenity, Toxic, Hitbox, the Rebel and more. I'll keep the cover image and title updated to reflect the current protagonist but I encourage you to check them all out.

From Ninja to Pirate
Life can be difficult, hard and painful. Who am I kidding? Most of you probably have already experienced first-hand, all the difficulties, hardships and pains in life that I talk of, so rather than listen to me teach the lessons on how you should stay strong and look forward to the good things, I think you'd much rather prefer me to just get on with my story, and that's exactly what I'll do.My name was Uzumaki Naruto. I was a genin of the hidden village of the leaves, and the team-mate of Uchiha Sasuke and Haruno Sakura. My parents were the Fourth Hokage and the Jinchuuriki of the nine-tailed fox before me, and I was what people called, a failure. But now, the story has reversed. No more failure. No more Naruto. No more ninja.I am Akagami D. Natsuki, a girl who challenges the world, in the era of pirates! All credits go to Oda Eiichiro and Kishimoto Masashi for writing One Piece and Naruto. This is a fanfiction I wrote for my own pleasure. Please don't judge it too harshly... I have checked for spelling and grammar mistakes, but just in case there is the occasional mistake, please comment on it, rather than insult me. From personal experience, I have seen people insulting my grammar, with a comment akin to:"Cant u even spell 'mom' correctly? It's 'mom' not 'mum' you idiot!!!" So, please, don't insult me like that... It really ruins my day, which might have already been awful... Also, I apologise if they get really overpowered, or sound really arrogant... I don't mean it that way, but that's how it is read, so I'm sorry before hand. Well done for making it this far, and thank you for reading. noelicoan.
