"We don't have much time," Bonnie whispers snapping Angel out of her shock. "I'll step outside, but you guys only have two minutes at most before we have to go," Bonnie adds before walking out the door silently.
Nodding her head, Angel feels tears begin to well up in her eyes. It had felt like forever since she had seen Elijah or any of her mates for that matter. Looking down she feels a gentle hand on her face. Gently wiping away the tears that had fallen before slowly pushing it up.
"Why are you crying? What's wrong?" Elijah asks worriedly when Angel meets his eyes. Shaking her head lightly, a smile lights up her face. If she could jump into his arms and hug him, she would. Although at the moment, that wasn't possible.
"I missed you, I missed you so much. And I missed Kol, and Nik, and Bekah, and," Angel can't finish before tears start to well up in her eyes again and her words become blubbers. She was blaming the hormones, but she knew it wasn't just that.
"We've all missed you too, but we don't have a lot of time right now," Elijah whispers gently. Stepping closer to Angel and placing a hand gently on her stomach, looking down at it with a soft smile on his face. "I love you, I love you so much. You are my better half, and you are going to be a great Mother to this baby. I wish I could stay to watch them grow up, and become just as beautiful as you. But I can't, so you have to promise me you'll stay strong, and remember how much I love you." Elijah finishes, a sad smile now filling his face and tears growing in his eyes.
Still staring down at her stomach, Elijah bends down, placing a tiny kiss on her stomach before standing. "I love you," he whispers softly. Placing one last kiss on Angel's lips before speeding out of the room, leaving Angel standing there. Large tears streaming down her face.
"I love you too," Angel whispers before it felt like all the air being knocked out of her lungs, and someone had just dragged her under the water. Leaving her to never come up for air. She was crying so hard, her legs couldn't seem to support herself as she fell to the floor in a heap. Still mindful of her stomach, Angel curled into the tightest ball she could.

"Angel, we have to go," Bonnie announces. The crying woman hadn't even noticed that she had entered the room. Not moving, Angel felt a hands grab her arms and gently pull her to her feet. "Come on," Bonnie whispers. Dragging her out of the room and back into the hallway.
"I know you're sad, but you need to calm down," Bonnie tells Angel sternly. If Angel couldn't be quiet and walk for herself then this wouldn't work. And everything they had done would be for nothing.
But before she can respond to Bonnie, a splash causing both of them to look down to the source. Looking at the floor, Angel's eyes go wide, her water just broke.
"Bonnie?" Angel whispers worriedly, her voice horse from all the crying. The water breaking has seemed to stop her crying. "What's going on? I thought I had a few more weeks before the baby was due," Angel asks Bonnie. Turning to look at her, Angel notices the worried expression now filling Bonnie's face.
"Shït," Is all Bonnie can say. Taking a deep breath before continuing. "All the stress must have caused your water to break. We have to hurry, this isn't a normal baby so there's no way to know how long it'll take before the baby starts coming. You need to follow me and stay quiet if you want to get out of here. Okay?" Bonnie states strongly, her face becoming blank and void of emotion. She had to get Angel out, and nothing was going to stop them.
At that moment, all Angel could do was nod her head. Taking a deep breath, she follows after Bonnie silently. Currently, they were in the same hallways as before, although there was a large door at the end of it. Walking up to the large mahogany door, Bonnie rests her hand on it softly while chanting in Latin.
"There are 5 guards outside, I can snap their necks but it won't keep them down for long. They have a group of witches protecting them and I won't be able to overtake their magic for long. Niklaus and Kol are outside the gate. They can't enter the perimeter, the magic protecting it is too strong. If worse comes to worst. Run. And don't stop running until you reach them," Bonnie instructs. Her voice at a quiet whisper that Angel could barely hear.

Before Angel can come to any response, Bonnie flings open the door. Flicking her wrist as soon as she enters, causing everyone in the room to drop to the floor with a bang.
"Come on," Bonnie whispers. Dragging Angel with her by her hand, they almost reach the door before a voice interrupts them.
"And where do you think you're going?"
"Katerina, what do we owe the pleasure?" Kol asks sarcastically, speeding to stand in front of her. He had not personally met her when his brothers had back England 1492. Although he had heard plenty of angry ranting from his brothers in the times before he had been daggered.
"In case you happened to forget, your mate who was kidnapped happens to be my daughter. So I will ask again. Why hadn't anyone told me my daughter had been taken?" Katherine states angrily. She had wondered why she hadn't heard from her daughter for a while, she at first thought she had just gotten busy with her mates and being pregnant.
Although after a while of waiting, she realized that probably wasn't the case and had decided to look into it on her own. She might not be as hold, or have as much power as the Mikaelsons. But she did have some power and a lot of powerful contacts.
"We've been a bit busy if you haven't noticed," Niklaus responds tiredly. Could she not have come at a different moment? One where they weren't close to getting the answers which could help them get Angel back.
"I can tell," Katherine responds with an annoyed eye roll before walking over to the drinks cart next to Bonnie and Elijah. Helping herself to a whiskey, Katherine downs it in one gulp before turning to face Elijah and Bonnie. The latter of which was now standing on her feet, although Elijah still had a rough grip on her arm.
"Elijah let go of the girl, we need information and she is willing to supply it. At this point, I will do whatever it takes so that Angel had my grandchild return here safely, and I will not let you guys get in the way of that." Katherine states, her tone not changing throughout. If there was one thing Katherine was good at, it was keeping a level head.
"Now Bonnie, you mentioned Elijah needed to die for his sire line to die as well. That would mean that a group of people that Elijah sired are the ones who have Angel. I believe at this point, Elijah, you should know who has her. I don't believe you are the type to change people on random or without great cause. If I am right, which I believe I am, you most likely taught them everything they know. Which would mean your death would probably be the only thing that could stop them." Katherine finishes her small rant with a deep breath, watch as Elijah, Kol, and Niklaus faces light up in recognition.
They had been blinded by the pain of losing their mate, and they hadn't been thinking clearly. Or at all for that matter.
"She's right," Bonnie adds, breaking the silence that covered the room. She was glad that someone in the room was thinking clearly, as it seemed the Mikaelsons had not been. Given how Niklaus had daggered Rebekah a few months ago.
Finally looking up, Niklaus is about to protest. After all, there must be another way. They were the Mikaelsons, there should be nothing that could stop them. But before he can say anything, Elijah speaks up.
"I'll do it."

Fallen
Hundreds of years ago, the servant god Elsyn declared that they would destroy humanity entirely, explaining it as their duty as humanity’s peacekeeper. When the gods saw it fit to send someone to oppose the fallen servant, Iztris—the gods’ own servant and follower—visits Cheryn. Iztris requests the aid of Alyson and Jacob, the oldest two heirs of Cheryn and the only ones given the gods’ offer of the ‘assurance of victory,’ and the heirs agree. There will come a time when humanity does fall—but none of them would allow that to happen by the hands of a being just as flawed as mortals. I recommend reading the story by volume, instead of by the order the chapters were posted. This story was beta read by Mad Sadie. Many thanks! Please note that some characters use different pronouns depending on the chapter’s view and the speaker. Iztris, for example, is referred to with neutral pronouns by Elsyn (in most cases) and themself, and after being introduced as such they are referred to with male pronouns by Alyson and Jacob.
