《My Humble Adobe Of Short Stories》Letter to a Stranger

Dear Stranger Whom I Wish To Meet Someday,
Okay, this is not a very good beginning but let me start with telling you this, in advance, that I'm not very good at writing letters. Writing letters is all a bit new for me because I haven't really written letters to anyone before, so please bear with me a little. You know, today as I am writing this letter, a thought occurred to me: Why don't we write letters more often? It is such a beautiful process: You pick out the best piece of paper you can find; pour out your feelings along the lines, fold the letter neatly; put it in a pretty little envelope; seal it with wax and then send the letter off. But sadly, slowly and gradually this art is dying.
Look how stupid of me, in all of this (explaining how I am not good at writing letters), I even forgot to ask you about your wellbeing. I know you can't see me right now, but I'm definitely facepalming myself. :)) Anyway, I hope that you and your family are in good health. :) Even though I haven't met them yet, someday I hope I will.
When you write to someone you have never seen before, you start expecting a lot from them like how their personality is, what their physical attributes are, if they like eating olives as much as you do?(yes, I do love to eat a good amount of olives). But for once, I would like to keep all that aside and not expect anything. Honestly, before writing this letter, I did imagine those things but now, I know that those are pointless cause I want to see you through your eyes.
This may sound a little random, but do you wanna know something amazing. Right now I'm sitting in my balcony and writing this letter. It is around 6:30 a.m and one of the most beautiful sights behold my eyes. In the very East, the sun is rising above the horizon with red, orange and pink hues spreading in all the directions. I know a lot of people say that sunsets are beautiful but try giving sunrise a chance(if it is possible), especially if you are feeling low someday. For me, sunrise denotes hope; that after every dark day, there would be a day filled with light. And I hope that this can help you in those dull, tiring days.

Before I end this letter, I would like to apologize for if I have said something wrong or offended you in some way. And Thank You for taking out the time to read this letter. The seal on the envelope has a dried flower stuck to it from my garden, hopefully, this will remind you of me. If someday, we meet or you read this letter( no matter if it's two, four, ten or even twenty years), please write back to me.
Goodbye, for now,
Your Awaiting Stranger.

Leaves of Terranthir
DISCONTINUED - I won't be writing more of this fiction. Check out the latest post for a worlbuilding summary / final thoughts. Leaves of Terranthir is a gamelit blend of ARPG, action, fantasy, and slice of life. It's inspired in part by some of my favourite games, borrowing in themes, sense of exploration, and aesthetics from the Soulsborne and soulslike genre, mixed heavily with arpg itemization from Diablo/PoE style games. While many may remember their Soulslike experiences as nothing more than suffering, I personally loved the sense of progression, to prevail over challenges and monsters that seemed impossible to defeat at first. If any of that seems interesting to you, do check out the first chapter and let me know what you think. Cheers, and thanks for reading. Cover by Baconstrap.
