huff escaped my lips, when finally I closed the book and let my legs fall onto the seat next to me. Rising a fine eyebrow at the still standing 'awestruck' figure in front to me, I gestured towards the seat on his side.
Oh Lord...
Blinking a couple of times as if snapped out of shock, he dragged the chair and got seated.
"So, umm... For the project-" he started to speak in his rather deeper masculine voice and as if the atmosphere sensed it, the teenage bodies around us fell silent.
My fine eyebrow rose on its own as I glanced around and saw everyone's eyes glued onto the two of us, most importantly him.
Huffing out of annoyance, I rolled my eyes after crossing one arm over my chest and the other shot up to rub my face.
"Aye! We aren't selling teddy bears here, are we?" I asked in the conventional venom laced voice, while looking around in the room. My voice boomed in the iced atmosphere and as if snapped out of trance, Mrs. Lima cleared her throat after blinking a couple of times.
And likewise, one after the other the frozen juvenile figures melted and transfixed their eyes back towards the tasks in their hands and 'Thankfully' minded their own businesses.
Rubbing my face with both of my hands, I averted my eyes back to the 'subject' dumfounded-ly looking at me.
"Continue" I gestured, as another sigh left my lips.
"I was thinking of, you know... For the project... Shakespeare. What do you say?" He cleared his throat and blinking for a good two minutes before completing his sentence and fixing his attention solely on me.
"Hmm... sounds good to me" I tapped my index finger on my chin after giving a thought to his suggestion, approving the idea.

"That's settled. Now which of his famous work should we choose? As far as I know, the writing which got him over the top was none other than Romeo And Juliet" as if aplomb just crawled it's way back up his spine, he pushed his back off of the backrest and rested his face on top of his tangled hands on the table with the most coquettish look over his face.
His eyes which were all coffee browns, shone with weird twinkle and glow in them, making me tilt my head slightly to right and as if a reaction to the stimuli turned into slits.
didn't
Conniption rushed into my body and my hands rolled up into fists under the table.
"Why not Titus Andronicus? Where Titus, having feigned his madness all along, captures the sons, kills them, and makes pie out of them. He feeds this pie to their mother in the final-" I said with a cool voice as I brought my right hand up and blew on my nails with a simper.
"Fine, I'm sorry. Not that, for sure" he cuts me off by suddenly pulling away from the table, with an abashed look over his edgy face and tugged at his shirt's collar.
Ops? Didn't that little vamp within you decided to jump out of the window?
"Hmm... okay" the smirk still implanted on my lips, I slowly shrugged my shoulders.
"Umm... If you don't mind, can I see that book you were reading moments ago?" Blake blew the silence bubble, which had inqubated us a few minutes ago and pointed towards the book sitting right by my elbow.
Sighing and giving him a curt nod, I pushed it his way.
"Why not Taming The Shrew? It's pretty challenging" His heavy voice escaped his lips, as his long fingers brushed the spine of the red, hard cover. There was this unfamiliar emotion in those hazel eyes of his, as he continued to admire the book.

"Coming Tuesday in sixth period, at the same time and place" I let the stern creep into my voice as I let my legs fall onto the floor. The figure mute-ly nodded in confirmation.
Pulling the single strap of my bag over my right shoulder, I straightened my posture before advancing towards the door at the ring of the seventh period bell. I felt the eyes on my back, but as usual I was ignorant.
A quick nod towards Mrs. Lima, I pushed through the door of the library and stepped into the corridor. Geography in room was where I was heading to.
"Dixie! Hold up!" The male voice boomed in the almost empty corridor making the heads turn towards the source, which happened to be behind me.
Halting in my tracks, I turned around to come face to chest.
Huffing with annoyance and sighing, my eyes turned to slights with acrimony as I stepped good two feet away from the figure.
"What?" An almost howl escaped from the back of my throat, as I cranked my head a bit to nevertheless look into the hazel eyes.
"Umm... I was thinking, you know just a wild thought, that if you could... I mean, come to the Soccer match on Sunday" he said nervously with a slight hiss in his voice, as his hand rubbed the back of his neck.
"Keep the 'thought' to yourself" I mumbled glaring at him before turning around and picking my pace.
"I... I insist" his heavy voice boomed again once I reached the end of the corridor.
Shaking my head, a sigh left my lips.

Black Meridian
Here's a fact about humans: They are intelligent, versatile creatures with a tendency for murder and vice. Zeta, a swordsman from a villa at the summit of Greenwich Mountain, has heard many stories about the "Sigma World," the colloquial term for any and all things superpowered in the world. He's also heard of the many tragedies, as well as the many wonders humankind has created in its history, even if he has yet to see it in person. Following the philosophy of his teacher, Gin Kagan, Zeta intends to become a "Servant of Humanity," in an endeavor to protect mankind from its gravest threats, from power-hungry sigma-users, but most importantly, from itself. He's going to need a lot of allies to pull that off, even if he doesn't understand that just yet. This story is originally published at www.sigmacentral.wordpress.com. Verification that I am the author of this story can be found here. Please leave feedback in either the comments or a review.
