《orion's belt | ✓》afterword

abuse has always been something that i've held very close to my heart. some see it on tv and think, "this doesn't happen in real life" or "'at least it's not happening to me", until it does. i want people to know that they aren't alone. i may not have a platform to preach to others about my concerns of the world, but i have a voice. i'm hoping this book will persuade people to sit next to the class loner, to help the victim instead of traumatize them, and most importantly, to look in the mirror and ask themselves "am i happy?", because everyone deserves happiness.
this is one of the plot holes in the story that will be hopefully be fixed soon. originally, anna's father is deceased and this is something that affects her drastically, which is one of the reasons why she's diagnosed with depressive episodes. the tormenting at school was supposed to the the thing that pushed her over the edge, but i left it out without knowing it, haha.
i've always imagined that fate would deliver them both what they deserved :)
honestly, as much as i love orion, it'd have to be anna. i've always envisioned her as a heroine, and it was an honor writing about her. then again, they're kind of a package deal hahaha.
i left the ending open because as you know, life happens, things happen, and not everyone gets a fairy tale ending. but yes, i've always imagined that they would.
currently, no. i feel that continuing their story would lose the book's purpose, and i really love stories that are short and sweet. but i am working on another book that may mention anna and orion once or twice :)
you can find him at 1-800-buy-your-bae or *wink wink* :D

you're asking the wrong person, you all should be looking in the mirror
[my own personal question]
orion is not a bad boy, and annalise is not a good girl. i wanted this book to capture the essence of coming of age, the reality. they're so different, yet so alike in so many ways, i want all my readers to know that you don't have to be a reckless troublemaker or a goody two shoes to be the main character ;)
thank you so much for such a wonderful opportunity. i love love love all of you so much, it's insane. i started off as a nine year old who won the fourth grade writing contest to a thirteen year old who has 5k reads?! this wasn't me, this was you ♡
