《Sure Thing, Commander ✔︎》2

Ahsoka's eyes grew wide and she stared at the wookies. There were at least fifty. They were surrounding them on every side, ensuring they wouldn't escape. Rex hesitated before slowly walking down and out of the ship. He raised his hands in the air and murmured something to himself.
"We are not here to hurt you" Rex shouted to the wookies, "We have come to hide on your planet. We have also have some terrible news from you"
The wookies muttered to themselves making growling noises and low snarls. Half of them were injured with bandages over several limbs.
"The clone army has turned against the republic, they are under a special order from Lord Sidious. If you see any troopers do not engage they will kill you onsight" Rex explained.
He stepped closer and the wookies pointed their weapons at him and backed away. Ahsoka walked up next to him, her hands up as well.
"What are you doing?" she quietly yelled, "You're gonna get us killed!"
"I'm negotiating, just wait" Rex whispered back. "We are humbly asking to be able to stay on your planet for as long as we need. If it is not alright with you just say the word and we will be on our way"
The wookies started to close in on the duo. They came at Rex and Ahsoka at all sides, guns raised and ready to fire.
"Please we are friends of Master Yoda!" Ahsoka shouted.
This got the attention of one wookie inparticulary. He walked over to them and gave a growl of satisfaction. Ahsoka recognized the wookie as Chewbacca. To Rex's surprise, all the wookies turned around and traveled the other way. Chewbacca glanced back at the two strange foreigners then joined the others. Ahsoka sighed in relief. The team then put their hands down relaxed once more.
"Well that worked" Rex smirked looking at Ahsoka.
She just rolled her eyes and began to unpack their ship. She grabbed a backpack and slung it over her shoulder. Rex started to grab as many twigs and sticks as he could find. If they were going to survive here, they needed a fire. Ahsoka went back to where Rex was and showed him the backpack.
"We need resources" she pointed out, "I'm going to find a water source, maybe some food, and wood to build a shelter"
"I'll come with you" Rex insisted, wiping his hands on his armor.
"No I need you to stay here and look after the ship" Ahsoka explained, "If we just leave it here and someone takes it, we'll be stranded"
"I thought that was the whole point?" Rex asked, brow furrowed.
"We need to go back eventually. This is only for a while, nothing permanent" Ahsoka claimed, adjusting the backpack on her shoulder. "I'll be back within an hour, if I'm not back by then get in the ship and try to find me. I might have run into some trouble"

Rex gave a quick nod before gathering more sticks. Ahsoka made her way into the vast rain forest. Shyyyo birds squawked above her in the sky, ginormous Wroshyr trees towered over her. Ahsoka pushed past several vines, course leaves, and huge roots.
She heard the low growl of a terentatek and jumped behind a bush. Just moments after getting out of the way the huge, brown, beast thundered into the area. It's beady eyes examined its surroundings closely. It snorted and gave a mighty roar of anger.
It looked around hungry for the blood of a Force-sensitive. It thought it smelled one nearby. These monsters fed on the blood of Jedi and people who were very connected to the force. One slice by it's poisonous claws or horns and you would be dead before you could say Tatooine.
Ahsoka swallowed hard, hoping the force would protect her from the beast. It reluctantly sniffed the air and gave one last snarl before shuffling away. Ahsoka wiped her forehead of sweat and cautiously stepped out from her hiding spot. She looked back at the bush to see it burdened Wasaka berries. She set her back pack down and picked the bush clean.
After getting her backpack on again Ahsoka started back on her journey. She traveled deeper and deeper into the forest until the lighting was dim and the canopy was blocking out most of the sunlight. Ahsoka waved off several Can-cells away as they buzzed around her head.
She finally arrived at a small lake and tossed her backpack on the ground. She retrieved a canteen from the bag and filled it with water from the lake. A thin long, Shadeval stalker slithered near her in the water and Ahsoka recoiled in disgust.
"This place keeps getting better and better" she mumbled, taking a swig of the water.
Ahsoka tore off a couple of vines from the nearest tree and shoved them into her backpack. They needed everything they could get for this shelter. She began back on her path back to where Rex was hoping she wouldn't run into any more dangerous creatures.
Meanwhile back near the ship, Rex had gotten a fire started and was roasting a Sathog he had killed earlier. He rotated it to the side, feeling the warmth of the fire against his face. It was too hot to be in all his armor so now he wore a black tee shirt and beige cargo pants.
His armor was tucked away in a compartment on the ship. The fire he had made was fairly large and radiated heat in every direction. He began to worry about Ashoka, though it had been only a little longer than a half hour. Scenarios flew through his head, all of them ending the same. With Ahsoka dying. He shook his head hoping to clear his thoughts.
That's when he heard a higher pitched growl. One growl turned into two which turned into three and so on. He looked into the forest to see several pairs of eyes staring back at him. The large animals sauntered closer and he realized what these creatures were. Blastails. He had heard many stories of the large cats from some of the clones. They were vicious and dangerous, killing their prey swiftly and within only minutes.

Rex stared at the Blastails, beads of sweat forming on his forehead. Ten of them came out of the jungle and began to pace in front of him. Rex slowly reached into his pocket and found his blasters. The creatures ventured closer, licking their lips. A shiver traveled up Rex's spine.
The cats stood there for a moment before lunging at Rex. He ducked and began to shoot at them, scaring some of them off. Others stayed behind and snarled at Rex. Another jumped towards Rex and he kicked the beast to the ground. It gave a small yelp and retreated. There were still five more left and Rex wasn't ready to give up anytime soon.
Another Blastail swiped at Rex nearly slicing his neck. But Rex jumped to the side and shot the animal in the head. It lay dead on the ground. The four left began to surround Rex, one on every side. A Blastail on his right lunged at him with claws yearning to tear him to shreds. Rex just punched the cat in the nose and it scurried away. One ran up and began to bite his leg, it's teeth digging into his skin. Rex cried out and the other beasts took the opportunity. The Blastail nearest to him pounced on his chest knocking him to the ground. The final creature scratched at his arm.
Rex screamed, agony seeping in. He thought it might be the end. He never had gotten to say goodbye to Ahsoka. He never got to tell her. He never got to tell her that. Just then something lifted the Blastail on his chest off and threw the cat somewhere into the forest. Rex moaned as Ahsoka used the force to get one of his pistols from his pocket. She caught it and aimed at the beasts. Rex could hear blaster shots, they hit the remaining Blastails which retreated into the dense jungle. Rex groaned and Ahsoka rushed to his side.
"Rex!" she cried.
"Your better at using a blaster than I thought" he joked weakly.
She chucked the backpack to the side and ripped off a few pieces of her shirt. She tied them around Rex's arm, leg, and put the other on wounds on his chest. He clenched his jaw and rocked his head to the side. She opened up a canteen full of water and washed out his wounds. He yelled and Ahsoka slapped a hand over his mouth.
"I know your hurting and I'm really sorry but you gotta stay quiet" she hissed, "If you make more noise they'll come back"
So Rex just bit his lip as hard as he could, soon tasting blood. He was bleeding out so much he felt light headed. Ahsoka looked at him with genuine concern which made Rex feel at least a little better. She started to panic looking over each wound and dousing them with water. She grabbed her head in frustration and groaned. Then she became calm. She took a deep breath and put her hand on Rex's chest. Goosebumps crawled over his skin. He felt the force. Ahsoka closed her eyes and sat there in silence.
Rex began to feel as his skin healed, and stitched itself together again. A soft glow hovered over him and he could make out Ahsoka's fragile features. The pain seemed to fade and the wounds closed. Rex breathed in and out deeply and felt as Ahsoka took her hand away.
Ahsoka groaned and clutched her head. Healing Rex had made her weak. She then grabbed his hand and their fingers intertwined. She looked at him with worried eyes.
"Rex" she whispered, "Are you okay?"
Rex grunted and sat up slowly rubbing the back of his neck. Ahsoka's face lit up and she embraced him tightly. Rex's cheeks became a light pink and he wrapped his arms around her. He breathed in her sweet scent, letting it fill his nose.
"I'm so sorry I should have came back earlier then those Blastails wouldn't have come and-" she trailed off.
"Hey" Rex said, "I'm alright Soka"
A wide grin spread across her face and she hugged him again. Neither wanted the moment to end as they sat there by the warmth to the fire. The sun was setting and the sky was growing dark. Most of the more dangerous creatures were out in the day, but that didn't mean they were definitely safe at night. Ahsoka finally pulled away from a shocked Rex and tossed him the canteen.
"Drink" she ordered, "I found us a nearby lake. A suitable water source"
Rex did what he was told and the water blessed his dry mouth. She grabbed handfuls of some type of berries out of the backpack and gave them to Rex as well.
"Those are Wasaka berries" she explained, "They're safe to eat trust me"
Rex did trust her but still hesitated before popping a berry into his mouth. As he chewed, a sweet flavor filled his taste buds and he soon ate them all.
"What about you?" Rex asked.
"Don't worry I got myself some," Ahsoka claimed.
She grabbed more berries out of the bag and ate them quickly. She glanced over to the fire and suddenly noticed the large, roasted, Sathog.
"I see you've been busy," Ahsoka said, nodding to the fire.
Rex chuckled, "Yeah I got a fire started, caught something to eat, and got attacked by blood thirsty beasts. It's been a great day"
