Rex watched as Ahsoka stood among the graves, a hood covering her face. He finished packing their things and walked up to Ahsoka. He heard as she sniffled and watched as she wiped her eyes.

"You okay commander?" he whispered gently, putting a hand on her shoulder.

She stiffened and rubbed her arms, nodding. Rex looked out at the graves of his brothers and choked back tears. They were all gone. Jesse, and his friends, his men. The patch on his head ached and he put his hand to it cautiously.

"We need to leave" Rex pointed out gesturing to the ship.

"I'll be right there," Ahsoka muttered shivering.

Rex nodded and headed back to the ship. He looked back at her one last time before entering the cockpit and firing up the engine. Ahsoka kneeled down before the fallen troopers and muttered a type of prayer before joining Rex on the ship. She sat down in a seat next to Rex and breathed out deeply.

"Where to Commander?" Rex asked, as he threw Ahsoka a sympathetic look.

Rex's helmet had been off ever since the battle on the ship. He dared not put it on as it would remind him of the same helmets his brother wore when they died.

"Kashyyyk we'll be safe there from the clones and we can tell the wookies about what has happened" Ahsoka replied, "We'll go into hiding at least for awhile"

"So that's it we're just gonna hide and let the Jedi order fall?" Rex said in shock.

"Do you have a better idea?" Ahsoka asked, putting her hood down. "And stop calling me commander those days are over"

Rex hesitated before he replied, "I'm sorry this war is all I know"

"It's okay Rex I- this-" Ahsoka stuttered trying to find the words to describe how she was feeling.

"I know what you mean," Rex muttered.

He pushed several different colored buttons before flying off the planet. Ahsoka stared out the window watching the planet fade in the distance. Rex pulled a lever and they jumped to hyperspace. He put the ship in auto pilot and went to the back of the ship fumbling around for something. Ahsoka groaned and stumbled back, falling towards the ground.

"Ahsoka!" Rex called.

He jumped forward and caught her right before she hit the ground. Ahsoka's eyes opened weakly and she gritted her teeth. Rex scanned over her body for injuries. Ahsoka tugged at her shirt pulling it down just enough for Rex to see an open wound on her shoulder. She groaned and her eyes fluttered.

"Don't worry we have a medical room in the back" Rex explained.

"Take me there" Ahsoka grunted trying to get on her feet.

"No you're too weak let me" Rex pointed out.

He lifted her up like she was nothing and held her in his arms. Ahsoka put her hands around his neck and gave him a faint, thankful, look. Rex smiled and carried her into a room with a small medical bed, shelves with medicine and equipment, along with a silver medical droid. He set her down on the bed and called over the droid.

"Blaster wound on the right shoulder" he muttered, kneeling at Ahsoka's side.

The droid beeped in response and got right to work.

"Hang in there Soka" Rex whispered, "I need you"

Her eyes closed and her chest rose and fell, breathing softly. Rex ventured out of the room and back into the cockpit. He sat in a chair closest to the large window and rubbed his head with his palms. Ahsoka needed to stay alive. He wouldn't be here without her. If she wasn't around he would feel lost and end up getting killed.

A sudden urge of anger took over Rex and he kicked the side of the ship. He roared in anger and picked his helmet up only to chuck it across the room. If only Maul hadn't stolen their ship in the first place. Then she wouldn't have gotten shot. Rex clenched his jaw and plopped into a chair, defeated.

It was quiet without her. Rex didn't like it a single bit. She had been quiet ever since the grave but this, this was different. After an hour of anxiously waiting the medical droid strolled in. Rex stood up immediately.

"She will be just fine" the droid said mechanically, "She just needs time to recover"

Rex breathed a sigh of relief and ran a hand over his short hair. The droid went back to the medical room leaving Rex alone, again. He spun around in the chair and stared at the ceiling. Kashyyyk wasn't probably the best place to be right now but he figured it was probably best to listen to the former Jedi padawan. A padawan, yet she seemed like a Jedi master to Rex. When she was accused of the bombings on the jedi temple Rex wouldn't believe it, he couldn't. He knew she was innocent the entire time but the council didn't listen. He hated watching her leave and he knew Commander Skywalker did too.

Now it didn't matter if you were a Jedi master or padawan every Jedi wanted to survive. If he was right and the entire clone army had the inhibitor chip, then the Jedi were doomed. He wondered if there were any Jedi that survived besides Ahsoka. He had to know. He set up a hologram and stood in front of it.

"This is Commander Rex. As you might have figured out by now, the clones have turned against the entire jedi order. They have asked you to come back to the temple saying "The war is over" This is a trap. Please do not fall for it." He said. "This is all because of a special order. Order 66 to be exact. In this order any and all jedi are to be executed for crimes against the republic. All clones are programmed to follow this because of an inhibitor chip. This chip is located in their head" Rex took a deep breath. "Commander Tano has removed my chip so that I am no longer following these orders. So if any Jedi sees this please contact us to let us know you are alive '' ''I know you may think this is a trap and you're right to doubt me but why would I give you all this information if I was still following Order 66?" Rex pointed out.

He bowed then pressed a small button concluding the hologram. He sent it to every Jedi's communicator and hoped for the best.

The door to the cockpit opened and Ahsoka walked in wincing. Rex dashed to get up and helped her to a seat.

"What are you doing?" Rex asked, "You still need to recover!"

"I'm fine Rex you don't have to worry about me" she mumbled in reply.

"B-But your shoulder" Rex stumbled for words.

Ahsoka pointed to a large bandage where her wound was. It was very similar to the one Rex wore on his head. Rex didn't know how to respond to that.

"How far are we?" Ahsoka asked, rubbing the bandage.

"About 10 parsecs" Rex said, glancing out the window..

Ahsoka nodded and reached for her light saber just to find that it wasn't there. She frantically started to pat down every part of her body until she remembered. She had left it by the graves. She sighed and looked to Rex.

"What are you thinking?" he asked with a smile.

"I think you need to show me how to hold a blaster," she claimed.

"Your light sabers?" Rex asked, raising an eyebrow.

Ahsoka shook her head in response.

"Once we arrive at Kashyyyk I'll teach you all about them" Rex declared grinning widely.

"Thanks Rex" Ahsoka chimed.

"No problem Com-" Rex started but stopped, catching himself right before he said it.

Ahsoka laughed, "You caught yourself"

"It's gonna be awhile before I learn that one" he muttered.

"You'll get it eventually," Ahsoka pointed out.

"I hope" Rex uttered.

They suddenly came out of light speed, bringing the ship face to face with a planet covered in green and blue. The planet was mostly forested with many water sources and huge trees. Ahsoka had been to Kashyyyk before but she hadn't really gotten the chance to look around. It was right after she had escaped from the trandoshans. She shook off the memory, just thinking of it made her heart ache.

Rex flew the ship down into a small clearing surrounded by trees. Ahsoka put a hand on his seat and searched the area for wookies or clones. Nothing. They exited the cockpit and traveled to the landing platform.

Suddenly something rustled in the forest. Rex pulled out his guns from his pockets and pointed them at the forest.

"Get behind me" he whispered.

"No" Ahsoka responded, "I think I can handle myself"

There were several more sounds coming from the trees. Low growling, snapping branches, and footsteps could be heard. They all were getting closer. Rex scowled, searching out among the trees. Then Hundreds of wookies stepped into the clearing, bearing several large blasters and other weapons.
