《Home | The Originals》Chapter 99: Crushing Hard

Freya knocked on Hope, Angel, and Dove shared room which just so happens to be connected to their brother's rooms as well but thank god for sound proof walls.
The door opens to reveal Angel wearing headphones with music blasting through her ears. She takes them off as she stares shocked at her Aunt.
"What happened?" Angel asked as she puts the headphones on the nearby dresser. She was so scared that she was about to be hit with bad news.
"Uh, oh, no, nothing." Freya shocked her head. "Your father has search parties scouring every inch of the city. We'll find them." Freya said.
Angel let a breath of relief escape her as nothing really happened. "I just... when I saw you, I thought that she... yeah." She furrows her eyebrows. "So, wait, if they're still missing, then why are you here?" Hope asked her.
Freya held up a big brown bag. "Care package. Thought you guys could use a taste of home." She said and hands out the bag for Angel to take.
"So you drove all this way to bring us beignets?" Angel asked rhetorically.
"You know, I figured with everything going on, you could use a friend." Freya says and crosses her arm.
"Thanks, but I have my brother's and sister's stupidities to keep me entertained." Angel says and tries to casually close the door inch by inch.
"You know, I could be wrong, but, um, I think this is the part where you invite me in." Freya smiles jokingly but not without leaving the obvious hint.
"Yeah, sure, not like I asked you to come all the way to Virginia to comfort me." Angel said and opens to door wide so her Aunt can enter. She quickly goes to the center of her room and help Hope and Dove with putting away all the spells they were trying to do.

Freya stood over them as she catches a few spells before they covered up. "Locator spells in 12 ancient languages? Thought you guys weren't allowed to do magic outside of the classroom."
"Catch-up reading." Hope said.
"It be bad if the Mikaelson's were behind in grades from the rest of the class." Dove lies easily.
Freya wasn't buying their excuses as she walks around the room and stood by Angel's bed. "We got to get back to work, Aunt Freya." Angel said.
"Sure. Sure, I mean, I could just leave after an excruciating 11 hour drive to see my beautiful Nieces and handsome nephew's." Freya said sarcastically and lays down in Angel's bed with her shoes on. "Or," she sits up, "we could get comfy, stuff our faces with deep-fried glory, and you could tell me about that cute boy you had hidden in your room last week, Hope."
Angel and Dove looked at Hope shocked. "You had a boy!!" They yelled together at her and Hope looked at her Aunt with a fake smile on her face.
~~~
Freya, Angel, Hope, and Dove were slowly walking past the soccer field watching as the vampire boys were playing a game.
"So, which one is he?" Freya said lowly into Hope's ear.
"The hot one that sweats diamond dust." Hope said mesmerized.
"Ew, your crushing on Roman, of all people? That guy is a man-whore." Dove said. They watch as Roman scored a goal and flirtatiously wave at at Hope.
"Oh god. Keep walking." Hope said nervously.
"You think Hope would be crushing on the hot brunette that's also playing." Angel said and help direct Freya eyes to said boy who was watching on the side lines practicing his power with a hood over his head.
"That's Lucifer. Apparently he's a demon King along with a few demons that goes to the school here. Him and Hope have been arguing back and forth ever since Hope embarrassed him in front of the whole school." Angel explained to Freya.
"I didn't mean to and I apologized already." Hope defended herself.
"You mean you tried to apologize." Dove corrected her. "He won't even talk to you after that and you guys were best friends."
"Anyways," Freya could see that this conversation was about to turn ugly so she quickly took the heat off Hope, "what about you two, any boys I should know?" She asked Dove and Angel.
"We do, it's the matter of getting their attention that is becoming a problem." Angel said gloomily.
"Angel likes this werewolf guy at our school named Devin. He's like the Alpha or co-Alpha hear. Devin works with Nicholas to keep the werewolf order here so I guess you can see Angel's problem on crushing on her brother's best friend." Hope explained and Angel put her head down to hide her blushing. "Dove on the other hand is like best friend with this guy named Caden. Their both witches and both are risk takers with their magic. Dove ended up growing feelings for him but doesn't want to ruin their friendship so she keeps her feelings hidden and suffers silently."
"Can't we just go back to shaming Roman?" Dove said.
Freya laughs at what she hears before speaking. "Hey, so, that stuff you guys were studying earlier. Alchemy of the Iberian Peninsula? Magic of the Middle East?"
"We're examining regional magic as it relates to sociopolitical and economic statuses." Hope lies.
"So, what exactly are the sociopolitical implications of breaking powerful cloaking spells?" Freya asked as they stopped walking.
"What do you want us to say?" Dove asked as they all know that their Aunt knows what they were trying to do. "Our mother's are missing."
"Trying to break every possible spell in those books by yourself would take a thousand years." Freya said.
"This is exactly why we didn't want to to tell you. And guess what? You and the witches haven't gotten anywhere. We're coming at it from a different angle." Hope said.
"And if those books doesn't work we go with our last resort. Using our mother's grimoire and try one of her dark magic spells." Angel explained. "All of us put the cloaking spell on them in the first place. Maybe if we can find a way to lift it without being in the room with them."
"And the fact that that's never been done in the history of witchcraft isn't going to deter you." Freya said.
"We can't just sit around and do nothing knowing that we caused all this in the first place." Angel said.
"All right then. Lets get to work."
